Politics › Re: If You Lose The Election, Accept Defeat – Jonathan Tells Tanzanian Politicians by mrrock: 9:52pm On Oct 21, 2015
fratermathy:
Nothing special!!!

In a sane society, losers must step down. It is only bitter losers that stir up the polity. While I am happy that GEJ did not stir up the polity, as he could if he wanted to, it is still the NORMAL thing to do. So there is nothing special about it. His advise is in place but he shouldn't create it against the backdrop that leaders can lose elections and refute defeat..

Omonnakoda! How Market? You are one of those who believe that stirring up the polity through tribalism and invectives is a good way to hide your face from the nothingness in which you exist and the nobody that you are. Take a cue from your leader and statesman who has SEEN IT ALL!!! CHANGE!!!!
This would be a good advise to Buhari.
Politics › Re: 'Radio Biafra: Protest Turns Bloody, Four Shot' - Daily Sun by mrrock: 3:19pm On Oct 21, 2015
Buhari is busy negotiating with terrorists. Surprisingly, he's arresting and detaining somebody who didn't commit any crime.
Crime › Re: Is This A New Style Police Use To Get Money Now? by mrrock: 2:00pm On Oct 21, 2015
Sijo01:
This is serious. They've derived a new means of extorting money. Some of these men in black are worst than criminals.
Yes, you're right. Police are worse than criminals.

I once called police to arrest someone who was engaged in illegal business, because he was owing me. Once he got to the police station he settled the police with some money. And when they were sharing their ill gotten money just behind me, one of them forgot that I was standing behind and was saying jokingly to his colleagues "he called a thief to arrest a thief". They forgot about my case and set the man free without helping to recover my money. Since that day I lost any form of respect to the Nigeria police.
Politics › Re: Buhari Appoints Mahmud Yakubu As INEC Chairman by mrrock: 1:43pm On Oct 21, 2015
GEJ moved it from South to North.

Common sense should've told Buhari to move the INEC chairman to somewhere else, but not the north, in observance of the federal character.

Certainly, Buhari have a northern agenda. This man is highly very tribal!. It's so clear he can't even hide it.
Politics › Re: You Are Still A Dictator -PDP Tells Buhari ….APC Anti-Corruption Crusade, A Sham by mrrock:
@MisMyColi

Buhari isn't as honest as GEJ, in my own books.

How much is Buhari worth?.
How much is his wife worth?.

How much did he tell Nigerians he was worth during the election?. He said he have only N1 Million, which turned out to be N30 million.

Think about it!. After he must have spent Billions of Naira for the elections, he was still worth N30 Million cash!.

Does this sound to you like an honest man?.

Some people just know how to keep low profile, that's what Buhari have got. He's just one of those that will have Billions and still manage to keep low profile.

Buhari is just as wealthy as his contemporaries, like; OBJ, IBB, Abacha, Abdulsalami. Nigerians open your eyes!.

If Buhari was totally clean as they would want us believe, he would have keep a distance from Rotimi Amechi. There are undeniable fraud cases hanging on Amechi's neck, yet he was being nominated to help Buhari fight corruption. What a joke!.
Nairaland General › Re: Ex Minister Tried To Return N50bn Through Me — El-rufai by mrrock: 6:08pm On Oct 18, 2015
What baffles me is not the story itself, but that there're people who believe it.

If El-rufai knew such a minister he will be ringing the name like a bell.

In a clean country, the EFCC or ICPC would have invited El-rufai to say the name of the minister and all he know about the N50 Billion.
Politics › Re: Senators Not Divided Over Amaechi – Anyanwu by mrrock: 11:32am On Oct 17, 2015
This petitions was released long time ago, and a copy sent to Buhari. I have no idea why Mr. president who said he've come to fight corruption went ahead to nominate Amechi for minister. Amechi's crimes are documented, so what evidence again do they need to disqualify him?.
Politics › Re: Tribunal Nullifies Election Of PDP Rep For Lack Of Educational Qualification by mrrock: 8:08pm On Oct 07, 2015
If GEJ was an intelligent man, this's the exact judgement Buhari would've received before the elections. Now, we have an illiterate as president.
Politics › Re: Diezani Funny Memes Trends On Twitter - See How Nigerians React (photos) by mrrock: 9:20pm On Oct 02, 2015
Though, a Jonathan supporter, but I like this arrest and prosecution of Jonathan's cabinet who are corrupt. Nobody should say witch-hunt, cause Jonathan had all the time in the world to prosecute corrupt administrations before him.

I like action, not words.

But, it's one thing to locate looted funds in Europe or America, and it's another thing to have it returned to Africa. Over 15 years of Abacha's loots being discovered in Europe and America, yet the funds couldn't be returned to us on time.

Business › Re: CBN Threatens Severe Sanctions On Banks For TSA Violation by mrrock: 12:45pm On Sep 09, 2015
OlaSpeaker:
section 80 of the 1999 Nigeria constitution as amended empower the president to do so it state thus
80 . (2) No moneys shall be withdrawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation except to meet expenditure that is charged upon the fund by this Constitution or where the issue of those moneys has been authorised by an Appropriation Act, Supplementary Appropriation Act or an Act passed in pursuance of section 81 of this Constitution.
(3) No moneys shall be withdrawn from any public fund of the Federation, other than the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation, unless the issue of those moneys has been authorised by an Act of the National Assembly.
(4) No moneys shall be withdrawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund or any other public fund of the Federation, except in the manner prescribed by the National Assembly.
section
.

Yes, I know. I was talking about the part that gave exceptions. The part in inverted commas that ends "except otherwise expressly approved".

They should've made all revenues go into the TSA, without exception.
Business › Re: CBN Threatens Severe Sanctions On Banks For TSA Violation by mrrock: 11:28am On Sep 09, 2015
One problem with this country is corruption is institutionalised. Otherwise, what do they mean by......."all revenue due to the Federal Government or any of its agencies must be paid into the Treasury Single Account (TSA) or designated accounts maintained and operated in the CBN, except otherwise expressly approved".

With this caveat nepotism and underhand deals with be made and corruption continues.

Indeed, corruption is institutionalised in Nigeria. We can't just do without it.

when he (OBJ) was president?.

This visits is becoming very suspicious!. Certainly, OBJ is lobbying to protect something.

Politics › Re: Igbo Has Best Appointment Under Buhari – Keyamo by mrrock:
This Festus Keyamo represent everything wrong with Nigeria. Once a Nigerian have succeeded in gaining from the milking of the nation by any government in power, he will sing a new song.

Keyamo should be bared from the NBA immediately. He's a disgrace to lawyers.
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Leader May Be The Least Corrupt In Africa- Washington Post by mrrock: 6:33pm On Sep 05, 2015
This's certainly an under-declaration. Because, I don't see how an ex-Nigerian president wouldn't worth more than that.

Now, PDP have a clean chance of finishing up APC by digging up all the illicit undeclared wealth of Buhari and family. But, if after 1-3 years there're no finds of illicit wealth belonging to Buhari and Family, then I'll accept this as true and will declare support for Buhari in 2019, but not necessarily APC.

Politics › Re: Lack Of Policy Hurts Nigeria's Economy As Buhari Marks 100 Days-Reuters by mrrock:
Buhari is already a failure. The handwriting is all over the wall.

100 days in power and no policy direction whatsoever, aside he want to reinstate born-to-rule mentality. This's the only thing yet put into action since he came to power.

No policy direction on how to give free meals per day to school children.

No policy direction on how to stabilize world oil price.

E..t.c.

Instead what we get is denials saying they didn't promise anything, at all, at all.

The NBA should bar Festus Keyamo from their membership. He has become highly compromised and a disgrace to lawyers.

A lawyer shamelessly supporting a known lie!.

Nigeria is finished!.
Politics › Re: ICPC Now After Bloggers And Social Media Activists by mrrock: 6:10pm On Sep 02, 2015
What?!.

This goes to prove that under Buhari's government media freedom is not guaranteed. Even Nairaland could be next.

Suddenly freedom that we once took for granted under the PDP government, has become a luxury now.
Politics › Re: Tinubu Doesn’t Want Fashola To Be Minister – PDP by mrrock: 5:56pm On Sep 02, 2015
If Tinubu wasn't behind it, how come the move to probe Fashola suddenly stopped immediately he denied he was behind it?.

Any time I see Tinubu on TV, he look to me like an ancient criminal.
Politics › Re: APC Disowns One Meal A Day Billboard by mrrock:
This's exactly why I did not vote APC because they're worse than PDP.

We have pictorial evidence. And they're still denying it?.

If PDP had very insightful media gurus, this serves as an opportunity to create a national campaign team of "Buhari must fulfill his campaign promises".

It's really easy to bring down the APC government with their pack of lies now coming to light. Lies will never stand the test of time, because you need more lies to defend an original lie. That's exactly the situation of APC now.

If you understand the above comment, you'll understand the genesis of boko haram. The evil men do lives with them.
