Buhari hates the media and free speech. There's a saying "you cannot change a man from the type of a man he is". This's an islamic hardliner and a proponent of sharia law.

We raised the alarm even before the election that Buhari based on his antecedent and hatred for freedom of speech will ban Facebook, Twitter, even Nairaland. You guys think we didn't know what we were saying. This's the thread https://www.nairaland.com/2126732/buhari-ban-facebook-twitter-nigeria
Politics › Re: How Will You Rate The Performance Of INEC Under Buhari's Administration? by mrrock: 5:01pm On Dec 07, 2015
0/100. INEC is dead!. It's now a highly partisan and incompetent INEC.

Buhari's government was always going to be a disaster. I knew it.

Mzflexydeeva:
I just couldn't imagine the thought this bride had as she was navigating to God knows where on this Okada. As busy as the isolo area of Lagos she still managed to smile all the way as the okada man was rushing to get her to her destination on time. Two things came to my mind
1. She probably spent the better part of her morning on make up she forgot she was late for her own wedding.
2. Lagos traffic served her a hot slap and she decided to serve a hotter one by using a bike......

If you were in her shoes for what ever reason would you go this far?
Good pictures!. What phone did you use in getting these pictures?
Politics › Re: A Copy Of The Controversial Social Media Bill (photo) by mrrock: 11:58am On Dec 05, 2015
Buhari and APC want to control media freedom in Nigeria, and Mr. Lai Mohammed is already going around the country paying out $10,000 each to bloggers to stop writing anything against the government.

We're back to dictatorship!.
Politics › Re: False Statement On Social Media: Senate Seeks For 2-Year-Jail Term For Offenders by mrrock: 8:13pm On Dec 02, 2015
Eventually, Nairaland would be shut down. It's a pity the management of Nairaland have no idea the government (any government in power) wouldn't like them.

Mr. Lai Mohammed is going around the country paying $10,000 per blogger to stop writing anything against the government.

Indeed, this is "one chance" government.

The truth is, if Buhari can be the president of Nigeria, anybody can be president. No qualification required.

In as much as i love PMB , i think something need to be done about fuel scarcity urgently insted of travelling to malta guinness. or Malta
So, if you didn't love PMB you wouldn't want this fuel scarcity to end?.

Yet, we in the opposition want the scarcity to end even faster than you want!. Now I know we actually do love PMB more than you APC sycophants.

It shall all phase out and the dividend delivered!

Corruption has been fought to a StandStill! We no longer hear millions, Billions and Trillion being frittered away! That is the first step. The Next Step is the Budget Of Change estimated @ 8Trillion with Capital Expenditure PeGged at over 50%. There is no way Nigerians Will Not Smile!

Relax, endure the temporary pain! Buhari Will AND MUST Deliver!

Politics › Re: Kogi: Buhari Setting Nigeria On Path Of Anarchy – Fayose by mrrock: 7:47pm On Nov 25, 2015
You cannot get democracy from a man who doesn't believe in democracy. Buhari is a proponent of sharia law and can't add anything to our democracy.

Mr. Lai Mohammed is already holding meetings with bloggers, and reportedly paying $10,000 to each blogger to stop writing anything against the APC led government. Have you noticed nobody is writing any negative thing about the minister of petroleum?. Have you noticed nobody is talking about mass protest against fuel price hike?. Have you noticed nobody is talking about justice in Kogi election?. e.t.c.

By the time APC is done with us in the next 4 years, we will be begging PDP to take over Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed Meets With Bloggers In Lagos (Photos) by mrrock: 4:57pm On Nov 23, 2015
Buhari hates freedom of speech, and he want TOTAL control of the media or nothing. He've sent Lai Mohammed to do his dirty jobs.

Thank God, if you bought fuel for N300/liter. Others have bought at N400.

And you want Buhari to engage the youths to find problem to boko haram?. I think you voted for him because he is old and experienced?.

Nigerians, we're our own problem!.

The only thing very clear from Buhari's body language is that he remains a dictator. In his mind he believes this's still a military regime, just as he believes Germany is still West Germany.

Thanks to GEJ. Buhari have no hand in it.

I think he should be ashamed doing that inspection judging by what his party is telling Nigerians about GEJ.

This new defense minister is just here to cause problem for Buhari. He should've just keep quiet.

Buhari did not finish secondary school and have no certificate to show anybody. He entered the Nigerian army through mago-mago.

Incorruptible my asss!.
Politics › Re: Buhari’s Certificate: Defence Minister Flays Minimah Over Scandal by mrrock: 4:53pm On Nov 14, 2015
OnReflection:
So what is to say the Military which became unashamedly partisan under Jonathan, did not destroy his certificate? What then...?

As someone who schooled many petulant traducers on these boards, during the entire saga, let me ask you this: do you know what a 'certifying statement of result' connotes?

Even if Buhari was interested in getting hold of an original copy of his certificate, how do you propose that he gets around the following constraint (pay attention to the statement highlighted in purple)?

Source: http://www.ocr.org.uk/ocr-for/learners-and-parents/lost-or-incorrect-certificates/

Now if you have any iota of objectivity, would it not be right and proper to acknowledge that Katsina College has already provided a 'Certifying Statement of Result' - which was credited to the Cambridge board?
Well, if you believe our military was telling lies to protect Jonathan, then this argument doesn't worth it, and, therefore, this will be my last response on this.

Is the military still working for Jonathan now?. This takes me back to my first comment.

If they claim they have the certificate now, let them show it to Nigerians or keep quiet for good. Goodbye.

I believe the Pdp contested his eligibility at some point and still lost. So for me its case closed and time to move away from irrelevant arguments like this and focus on serious issues affecting the Nation.
Not PDP exactly, but some constitutional lawyers and interest groups contested it.

Nobody lost any case, rather the case wasn't concluded before the presidential election. The judge in his wisdom or otherwise, postponed the case on a date after the elections. Of course, nobody wanted to pursue such case when a president already elected.

Buhari is president today because Jonathan is a gentle man. In fact, if the PDP wanted, Buhari would've been disqualified, though it would've caused some serious political problems, even lead to war. The US intelligence already simulated this using a sophisticated military software, that's why they predicted Nigeria will disintegrate by 2015. Our possible disintegration was real, not a joke!.

All thanks to Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria would've been at war now.

Another one who is clearly immutable to reason.
Never heard of an affidavit?

If you feel strongly enough that INEC violated its own extant rules, why don't you file a lawsuit instead of convulsing all over Nairaland.

Source: http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/2015-no-basis-for-objection-over-buharis-credentials-inec-/198010/
I'm not against Buhari as a person, but want the law be followed since Buhari carry himself around as incorruptible.

Yes, he did swore an affidavit stating that the secretary of military was having his original certificates, which turned out to be a lie. A big lie!.

So, if the new defence minister claim he have the certificate now, let him show it to Nigerians or keep quiet.

Never let the urge of typing on your keypad take the place of critical thinking. The argument is whether PMB is qualified to stand for elections or not which the law has stated clearly. That you must be educated up to the level of school leaving certicate. The emphasis here is for him to prove whether he was educated up to the above mentioned level. Certificate or no certificate even a statement of result will suffice. Its just for him to prove which certificates can not be the only yardstick to do such.
Agreed!.

But, INEC new regulation states that such certificate should be attached to a form 001 or so on application. Buhari did not attach the certificate as required. That's the bone of contention here, not whether he hold a PhD degree.

You could hold your PhD degree, but if you fail to attach it you stand disqualified.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Needs $500m To Repair Refineries – NNPC.. As All Refineries Remain Shut. by mrrock: 12:24am On Nov 09, 2015
Those refineries were billed by the GEJ administration to start refining at full capacity by 2016. How come local fuel production improved as soon as Buhari came into power?. GEJ's efforts!.

APC even claimed it was Buhari's body language that produced fuel, when in fact it was due to GEJ's efforts before leaving office.

APC have crippled the refineries once again!.
