wanderlustian: I've done this stretch before but stopped in Togo. Are you driving or taking public transport
I did this in 2009 with my 4 brothers. Took bus to Mile 2, then a car to seme border. You will pass the Nigerian border on foot. Sometimes, the police or immigration officer may ask for proof of I'd. Please take your passport or any id card. You can change money at the se.e border. You may decide to get your passport stamped or not. You will then take a bike to Benin Republic. One of my brothers was delayed cos of no id card. We paid 200 naira then to release him. We then took another car to le grande marche where dey sell okrika clothes then went to a cheap dingy hotel to sleep. We continued by road to togo which was less stressful than the Nigerian leg of the journey.
Best of luck dude. If you like I can give you a few pages off my blog to chronicle your journey Interesting. Public transportation will be fine. I will love to feature on your blog so I'll surely keep you posted. |

Just heard that the expected Q2 result for Gtbank may not be as good as we expect. That's the reason for the delay. Keep your ears to the ground.
As for first bank. Don't expect anything impressive until 2017/18.
Buy for long term |

olujaidi: What if the driver diverts the product into his keg instead of the car's tank? How can one minimise or prevent this from happening? Tell him to take a picture of the dash board. Close range picture that will capture the fuel gauge and mileage. Then he should send it to you immediately via whatsapp. Monitor this regularly. |

Ugosample: If you do not have a yellow fever card, it will be even more expensive tho.
I spent 3000+ at Seme I can't remember hilla condji and Aflao....... But as a virgin passport holder, you will be exploited big time, that is for sure.
So if you have a right budget, just use your voters card instead. You will still pay, but far less. That is my advise for you.
But if you like to keep stamps of different countries, like I do, they you can use your passport.
As for budget, ! I can't really say, because when I took my trip, the exchange rate was not this terrible o. But since you are spending six days (hotels + tramsport+ food+ souvenirs + bribes etc) maybe you should have AT LEAST 70 GRAND on you.
And another thing.. Keep your money well, or divide it into two, half in your acct and half on you. You can withdraw over ATM there (I do it a lot)
Ask me any other questions Thank you sir |
