Ugosample: I have done a long road trip myself..... And it was fun, with my passport. But despite the fact that I have airport stamps in my passport, they still called my passport a virgin passport, and fleeced me of my money...
But I still advice you use your passport tho.....
Ask ME ANY other questions How much did the border guys collect? Then what's the current exchange rate? Also hiow much do you think will be ideal for the entire trip? |

Ugosample: One question...... Have you done this before... And two more questions..... Will you use your passport? And do you know the current exchange rate? I've not done it before. That's why I'm here so I can get some advice. I have a passport but from what I discovered I can do without it. Is this true? I don't know the current exchange rates |

Hello, I love to travel within Nigeria. I love road trips. This time I want to take it a step further.
Planning to embark on a road trip across Cotonou, Togo and Ghana.
Kick off will be from Badagry. There's an amazing beach resort in Badagry very close to Seme Border.
I'll spend a night in Badagry then proceed to the Border for the real adventure.
From Ceme border to Cotonou then Port Novo.
Then to Togo and Ghana.
This trip will be for 6days most likely in the month of October.
If you wish to be my travel companion feel free to comment let's plan this together. |

drumma: HAHAHAHAHAHA..... In 2014 I was asked by my friends why I still wanted to venture into transportation business when UBER was entering the market with full force... I only told them... "the Nigerian factor"
I was a bit skeptical with the reviews I read about them but then I designed and structured my business to favor all factors involved in the Nigerian business sector..... Though a small business but with great potential and immense growth my transportation business has been going on smoothly and what started with one car now has 3 cars and still growing....
I got more convinced last year when an UBER partner approached me with partnership in my business. He was going to put his 5 cars which were on UBER on me but I turned it down because I wasn't going to become a slave to someone just because they have cash to float in my face.
You want to run a business with me, we both bare the assets and liability... I didn't even know this page existed all this while....
Uber is going to fail in Nigeria as they have failed in New York and LA.
The only reason they are still here is because we Nigerians are gullible. we wait for things to happen before we see opportunity in them. The transportation industry in this country especially Lagos is a multi billion naira business that is yet to be tapped into but you need to come from the angle of service offering and not primarily money making venture to hit the mark.
I conveniently gross 1million in sales on a monthly basis and just working harder to raise that mark and minimize trip cancellations.
model your business.... offer services people want and you're in money.....
Meanwhile let me go post my own topic on investment as I need an equity investor... its time for expansion I love your assessment. I'm also in the Car Hire business and I don't particularly agree with the Uber model. I'll love to connect with you. I also have a whatsapp group for individuals involved in Car Hire and transportation business. We network and share ideas. How can I reach you? |
Celebrities › Re: Why Olamide Might Remain A Local Artiste For Long !! by mrsage(m): 5:31pm On Jun 23, 2016 |
Look. It's not compulsory to go international. Every artiste like every product should have a target market and stick to it.
Olamide is on track. He is doing well within his target market.
Whenever he is ready to transform, he can then rebrand and change focus.
One step at a time.
Look at nice, he got a chance to sing in the UK but he couldn't sustain the so called international Market.
Where is Nice today? |

segebobo: You're lucky to get it at that price, 120k @Randle. I searched in2014 for a room & parlour on the same road & got 350k. You're also lucky they ain't insisting on 2yrs. The way they calculate it is this, they charge 10% of total amount payable for agency fee and 10% for agreement fee which is why many insist on taking 2yrs. I don't knw why you're charged 50k I agree, the rent is reasonable but the charges are absurd |
Properties › Re: Estate Agents And Ridiculous Charges by mrsage(op): 8:37am On Jun 23, 2016 |
Eyop: Commission and agreement should be 10% of the Rent. Caution fee for #10k to me is Ok. Commission goes to the estate agent while sometimes the agreement and Caution goes to the Landlord. So the 50k for commission and agreement is ridiculous. Thank you. |

Properties › Estate Agents And Ridiculous Charges by mrsage(op): 7:40pm On Jun 21, 2016 |
Hello,
I've been searching for a 1 Bedroom Self contained apartment in Lagos within Surulere axis.
As a first step I decided to check the internet to reduce the stress on my part and I found a good deal eventually. A 1 bedroom apartment with kitchen, etc. Plus parking space in a good location off Randle Road.
Then I called the estate agent and heard the most shocking news.
Rent. 120k per annum Commission. 50k Agreement. 50k Caution fee 10k Total. 230k
Now my First question is this. Why pay additional 110k for an apartment with 120k rent?
Number 2: Who determines these charges and is there a regulator?
Number 3: is there a fixed percentage to be paid as agency and commission or these guys just fix prices arbitrarily?
I will be glad if someone can enlighten me |

Uber now open to everyone. Well me I'm still into my cab Business and doing just fine without joining the uber platform. I don't like them anyway. 25% commission is too much yet prices are pegged. I remember a friend who took an Uber ride from Ikoyi to Ikotun for 4k. Customer was happy but I was sad when I heard. On top the 4k uber go collect commission again. That's bad business. |
