Gbam! u said the truth there. for now the economy is really affecting every sector. if u earn 36k-45k depending on state of the is big money now o. unless if one combine both Uber X n Uber select together that means you must be driving 2012 and above. people just hear Uber and started rushing to the bank to collect loan using their salary as security and now putting pressures on drivers in other to recoup their money quickly. Forgeting that , Uber/transport biz is just like any other biz.

hello people. am throwing this open cos it's an issue of concern. my car have since I started this bus become very problematic which I have manage concomitantly with my ratings. now; am at the verge of taking a toks Hyundai sonata 2.4l 4cyl 2009 model at the rate of 3m for 18months. but me I would prefer it to be 31,250×4=125,000×24=3,000,000 considering the maintenance plus fueling and miscellaneous. pls eyin ojogbon ebami f'oju shunukun wo oro yio. thanks

My opinion. Why not get a smaller car. 2.4l engine is a little too much. You can make do with a nice, sharp car with a smaller engine and spend less on fuel.
Other suggestions: Honda City, Toyota yaris, Corolla, Hyundai elantra or honda civic

My opinion. It's a viable business. Transport business is a gold mine but most people don't know this and some find it difficult to manage.

For a start you can buy a used tricycle. Priority is to invest and recoup your investment fast.
Before you invest in transport always think like a business man.
It's not compulsory to start with a new Keke.

Hire purchase is a good option.

Again select your location carefully. This is very important. Most investors overlook this.

Sometimes daily /weekly returns vary based on location. Some locations have lower risk.

If you can make the rider pay an initial deposit it helps too. This is an option.

A rider who has paid some money at the beginning of the hire purchase deal has already made an investment too. It has a psychological effects on his ability to pay back.

Agreement

Have him (your rider) sign the agreement in a police station, military barracks, lawyers office or shrine if possible.

Importation of cars at this point is quite challenging. The exchange rates are high. And people basically have less to spend.

Spare Parts readily available at Oyingbo or Ladipo

Half tank can take you from Berger bustop to Ilesha (good quality fuel) and Yes. Gazuss is my mechanic. Never had a major issue.

If it's in good condition, buy and maintain properly, you have nothing to worry about
