And futhermore, there is a huge distinct difference between being willingly violent and defending yourself against violence. |

Truckpusher: Well, you're still beating around the bush on this one, MrsChima.
Where does one begin to differentiate between defending himself and being just violent just because you can in the case of domestic violence? My submission is simple , if you hit me I'll hit back with a greater ferocity after all the only language that violent people understood clearly is the use of absolute violence. I do not support any form of domestic violence but again the person that drew the first blood must have been ready to receive the punches too but some persons here wants us to turn the other cheek because she is a woman. Rubbish. What's the fvck wrong with some of these niggas? How's the fvck did I beat around the bush when I am straight to the fucking point?!! I said people should defend themselves if they are attacked then you went on to say the same thing I said in your own words. Gotdamn! It is not that fvcking complicated. I |

freecocoa: It's not my fault that you don't understand my stand.
In a divorce case, everyone tries really hard to appear as the good one, so you don't expect me to just swallow things hook, line and sinker.
I have to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt. I agree that everyone will not be honest about the things that goes on in their marriage. Most people wants to portray as if they don't do any wrongs but we all know that people have flaws and flaws hinder relationships unless it has been compromised. I am sure the husband isn't innocent as he claimed and so as the wife. |

Truckpusher: I told them that I will hit back at a woman if she hits me first and they all started yelling 'blue murder' misssclassy even went further to label me 'immature', but the women can beat us into coma . Sometimes I wonder if these ladies are aware that real men do not beat women physically but if you cross that line then I have no qualms in retaliating too after all I'm human and do not deserve to be physically abused by any woman that is supposedly weaker. You can say whatever you want. I have always said that people should defend themselves if they are physically attacked. There is a difference between being violent because you think you can and defending yourself from an attacker. |

ronald4lif: Rightly said. Domestic violence should be condemned by all and sundry, regardless of the gender involve. There's no justification for violently assaulting anyone even when one is being attacked first, at least not by any jurispendence. More depressingly when it was just a verbal confrontation should there be a reprisal. Sentiments shouldn't becloud one's sense of objectivity.
Freecocoa misfired on this one. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and we are not going to agree on everything someone has professed or demonstrated. Verbal confrontations that leads to physical altercations are merely influenced by triggers that affects one's emotional state. A person can simply rehashed a trigger memory with key words from verbal dictions however the audacity to excuse physical intent with verbal provocation is absurdity. |

If this is so, why then do you guys scream blue murder when these women are assaulted?

ronald4lif: Should domestic violent be permissible and excused even when the aggressor was verbally provoked or blackmailed emotionally. Are there exemptions to the 'no to domestic violence' rule?. Domestic violence shouldn't even exist in any format of relationships whatsoever. If you are going to stay with a person that is violent generally then you deserve the treatment. It is not by force to get married nor it is by force to stay in a tumultuous relationship period. Verbally provoked? Are words guns? No one can't verbally make you do anything and there is no such thing as emotional blackmail. If I have to fight my husband...I don't need to be with him. Simple |

ronald4lif: Actually, this issue has nothing or very little to do with feminism save for the fact that a renowned sympathiser of the cause is attempting to exonerate the aggressor and clam on the victim on premise of his gender or media personality.
It'd be interesting to hear your views on this issue though. What's views are you expecting to hear from me? You are right this has nothing to do with feminism. |

francizy: The guy must have been a world class actor for cutting up himself to make you look bad to the public, is that what you saying woman? Anyways, if he did such then he's a big fooool. Also, if he had let you beat him up like that too without lifting a finger, he's not a man.
A man's respect for a woman shouldn't be mistaken for foolishness and hence, I support the beating up of a woman who raises her hands first to hit a man. Physical violence should be condemned to whatever length because no one has it's monopoly. Violence begat violence. |

When did women beating/abusing/killing/cheating on men become a "feminist" thing?
Is it safe to say men that does the same are chauvinistic and misogynistic manbishes?
