queensmith: the post is actually hilaruous.
My first question is - does every man deserve this superwoman they look for, the second will be if thats the case then why is it difficult from them to find this woman wherever?
It sounds like a man that is misbehaving is looking for a woman that will sit down and tolerate all his misbehaviors?
to add insult to injury he describes a wife as an asset, he doesnt even describe it he actually calls the woman an asset. . . . . *ranting away* . . .I cannot even begin . . . . . Child.....I was going to lit it up but I changed what I was going to write originally. Glad I wasn't the only one that has caught it! |

Romance › Re: Nlers Which Race Is Preferable To Marry From?!? by MrsChima(f): 9:20am On Jun 15, 2015 |
I am not into telling people who and what they should marry because it has nothing to do with me nor will it affect my life.
There are stereotypes in every race, ethnicities, and nationalities. Some of them can be factual but most of them are hearsays. It is a choice to marry someone from any race or nationalities.
If non-African/non-Nigerian people would to follow the negative stereotypes of Nigerian men...there wouldn't be any international marriages to Nigerian men. It is interesting to hear Nigerian complained about being discriminated for being Nigerian only to perpetuated similar discrimination against those of certain regions and religions.
Culture and traditions may be a blueprint for many relationships but each relationship is different even if the couples are from the same tribe or nationality. It is about compatibility and vision of the relationship. The problem with most relationship is that communication and respect is not efficient. If there are 2 different vision of the relationship of course it won't last!
For the person who said that equal rights in the western world is the culprit of divorce which is false. The lack of equality in the home is one of the reasons why people goes their separate ways. You have some men feel though he is burdened with taking care of the home and make decisions. I know some couples who lived traditional lives and are divorced! Many nationalities lives traditional lifestyle where the man is the sole breadwinner and decision maker and some are successful and some are not Traditional lifestyle isn't a Nigerian or African mindset.
It is all about who you are compatible and equally yoked with. It is not accurate that if you marry from your own tribe or nationality that you will have a happy marriage. A happy marriage is love, patience, respect, effective communication, honesty, compassion, loyalty, gentleness, and prayers! |

Romance › Re: Is It Normal For Nigerian Men To Beat Women by MrsChima(f): 8:35pm On Jun 14, 2015 |
ronald4lif: What does the emboldened tell you?. It's in tandem with my postulation and we all know it's a combine effort to have a successful home. My point, however, is that there are situations where someone is expected to cheerlead and make drastic decisions in the family and this is where the man takes leadership.
There are some instances and decision making the woman cheerleads too but in most cases the man steer the ship. Equal footing is unrealistic in a household all the time. How can there be 'even' equality when a man still makes most decisions?. Close to it yes, but not exact. Just because you don't think equal footing in the home is unrealistic doesn't mean there aren't any homes that follows that structure and succeed. It is common practice that men will make executive decisions without their wives because men think that's what they are supposed to do. If their women don't have an issue with it...good! It is unrealistic for society to think that a man should male executive decisions especially if he is not cognitively endowed or have common sense. It is my opinion that no all men are fit or trained to lead so therefore equal footing is becoming and nexessary. Would you allows an illiterate surgeon to operate on you? No. |
Romance › Re: Is It Normal For Nigerian Men To Beat Women by MrsChima(f): 8:09pm On Jun 14, 2015 |
ronald4lif: I guess you mean gender equality?. Well, I don't think the can ever be an even and exact egalitarianism on a household but its attainable on other ramifications of life. In a family is unrealistic. There can only be a close to equality in a household for one person has to have an edge. There's a problem when the man attempt to have enormous powers which could lead to subjugating the woman and making her a subordinate.
So to your question if the can be a gender equality - it's yes and no. Yes, in political, corporations, jobs opportunity and socio-economic strata but no in a household. A household can only be closed to equalness but I don't think functionalities can ever be even. There are households where both the man and woman shares equal footing in the home Many of them are still married 30 years strong. Yes, when it comes to emergency situations the man will make an executive decision however for the most part the husband consult with the wife before decisions are made. It is a team effort that succeed the family and not dictatorship as many men seems to run their household by. It can be done and it has been done. You don't want to and that's okay. |

An ordinary friend with nothing romantic between them, will likely get a rude response from them. Exactly. If my husband see me with something that doesn't belong to him he will be like murder! |

blackpanther25: There are so many women beaters on this thread. I weep for Nigerian women. Honestly I think it starts when they are young. We need to teach ours sons that it ain't right to hit a woman. Those who remain in abusive marriages and relationships are only teaching sons it's okay to hit women and daughters it's okay to be hit.
Violence is not the Key really. I know some women can be devils but I would rather leave such a person then have a constant battle with her. Boo can you tame your eyebrows? You are cute. |

icedbeatz: Hahshahahahahahahahaha Mrschima the crazy aged woman Hahahahahaha relax before I call your doctor ok? Mrschima I'll love to see equality on both sexes but sadly it can never ever ever be achieved. I'm a realist and that's my perception, the female will either be above the male (e.g u.s, u.k and more) or the male above the female and I have many reasons to back that up. 1. God never planned it to be that way, he created woman to be a man's helper and lover for the man to love, protect, care and provide for. a man's better half and never to be equal but if any of you have anything opposing to this religiously bring it. . 2. can any of you name a country where both sexes have equal rights after so many years this feminism thing started? . 3. if it's achievable why are certain responsibilities are assigned to men and vice versa? well y'all feminists can continue having a blast. @ronald4lif can sex equality be achieved? I was instructed by my e-husband to refrain from feminist talk on this thread but I will answer you on another thread. |
