Dear All, Please does anyone have experience of applying for a Skilled Worker Visa with a spouse based in another country? ie. primary applicant, spouse and children applied at the same time, but spouse submitted biometrics and passport 3 days after the rest of the family in a different country because they work there legally. Family intends to enter the UK together and this is explained in both spouses applications. Will the processing time be same, should they be worried about anything? |
Asking this again. Please is it possible for a CoS validity period to be for one year only? I used to think the shortest amount of time for sponsorship is 3 years, but my cousin who just got hers from a Care Home was sponsored for only 1 year - HCA route. Please does anyone know why this is and is it something she can extend when she gets to the UK? |
Dear All, Please does anyone have experience of applying for a SW Visa with a spouse based in another country? ie. primary applicant, spouse and children applied at the same time, but spouse submitted biometrics and passport 3 days after the rest of the family in a different country because they work there legally. Hi everyone, Please if I'm going to the UK via the HCA route and won't need to pay the IHS surcharge, will my dependants [spouse and kids] have to pay the IHS surcharge? Also will their visa costs be halved just like mine or will they pay the full fee? |
Please are reference letters on letter-headed paper accepted by Care Homes? Or do they only accept reference by email? Asking because most hospitals in Nigeria do not have official websites, so will they accept the regular gmail/yahoo mails for reference in this case? Anyone with some experience in this area and has passed this stage should please help. Thank you. |
Oh, nice! Congratulations and thank you. TomatoSauce1: |

Hello everyone. I have seen some responses to my question below in the thread, however I haven't seen any response that goes into details. My question is: For someone with a UK MSc from years back, returned to Nigeria after studies and currently applying on the Health Care Worker Visa route as a Care Assistant, is the UK MSc Certificate sufficient to prove English competence? I have seen a lot of "yes" responses to the question on the thread, however, please does anyone know anyone who has successfully applied from Nigeria for the Health Care Worker visa using just their UK MSc certificate, without needing NARIC/ECCTIS or IELTS? I will appreciate a detailed response to this please. Wouldn't want to spend all that money getting NARIC/ECCTIS evaluation, only to find out I could have done without it. Thank you. |
Annim:Alright, will do. Thank you. |
Annim:Hi @Annim, I'm a December mum and intend to use same hospital as you, so looking forward to your post on bills. Also, please would you be staying with family or rented apartment? I'm still in search of relatively cheap accommodation options, especially around the hospital. |
