The truth is that Tinubu won, even if the election is redone, he will still win because he is the only one with a strong team/reach. Tinubu has the southern affluence, Shettima has the northern sentimental appeal. Had it been that Peter Obi and Atiku were in the same team, it'd have been easy win for them. Datti has no northern appeal, every LP vote was for Peter Obi. Whereas the southern votes favored Tinubu, the northern votes also favored Shettima and thus he was able to clinch 25% in more than 30 States.


Let's call a spade a spade. There are millions of illiterate voters that don't know Peter Obi in the north, but they know Shettima and they know APC.

One thing I am sure of is that whomever want to be president should try and make his name to be announced at once. Nigeria is so young in democracy for even the highest court in the land to pronounced that a sitting president should vacate. The law will be rather be twisted. So, Obi should try again next time.
