My brova, no be fight. The ladies are welcome to observe. . .
. . . but they shud kindly not comment, thank you (they can see but not be heard, so. . . sue me)

sagitarius:

I've ever done that through a very gradual process, well, i started by reducing d rate of calls, visits & all that, i broke up without tellin her sad just culdn't face her 2 do it,she was too good 4 me.I just left town & changed my number without givin her. although her heart was broken, she tried as much as possible not to show it.I felt soooo bad in d end,i kept apologisin but she was already in another relationship when she didn't hear from me 4 over a year, I regret ever doin that, i was just a kid havin fun. she still loves me butis committed 2 someone else, don't think i'll ever do that again, sighs
Understandable, we guys can be cowardly atimes. But even my first break-up, I faced up to the task, tried to be as gentle as possible, and explained why I felt the relationship wasn't going to work. . . I don't think it made much difference. She was still heart-broken. . . and eventually, so was I

Guys, this is to start a strictly guys only thread here. Girls, forgive me. I'm chauvinistic (So what?).
Gents, you may use this forum to discuss anything we'd rather not talk about with the ladies.
Ground Rule: If any babe butts in, we simply ignore her (they can't stand that!)
Now here's what I want to talk about. How do u exit a relationship as nicely as possible without breaking any hearts (or plates!) in the process.
Guys, kindly avail us some of ur experiences.

PS: Feel free to alter the discussion but the rule remains. . . any girl comments? Ignore her! It's a boys-only nite.

As for me I don't date my ex's friends or those who move with him. I try to move away from that town if i can.
Then there are also his relatives like brothers, counsins, uncles etc,

You must move around a lot!

Just have a good fight that would last the whole periiod and avoid both occasions altogether like my darling husband does.

Got to love him. kiss

Got to love you!
I hereby predict that your marriage will last.
You know when the other party is just being "naughty" but you are not too proud, stubborn or dumb to ignore it (I'm assuming you do ignore it)
Like that. kiss

Think about it. Your friend's sister? Your friend's ex?
Which girls do you feel you shouldn't ever make a move on.
shocked wink
Romance / Re: How Long Did Your Shortest Relationship Last? by msanda(m): 9:53pm On Jan 07, 2008
My shortest relationship was about two weeks. It was fun, really. Started out very romantic. Long talks on MTN xtra-cool & Starcomms on weekends. Visits etc. Then it got physical. Then more phone "activity". Then her ex turns out to be my friend and. . . Kapish!
Romance / Re: Is It A Crime For Girls To Express Their Feelings? by msanda(m): 9:27pm On Jan 07, 2008
Look. Stop making dis tin look like it's a guy thing or girl thing. It's all the same. If a guy likes a girl and tells her, if she likes him, she'll 'gree (eventually); if she doesn't, she'll say no (nicely or otherwise, depending on her kind of person). Same for guys: If a girl likes me and tells me, if I don't want her, I'll let her down as nicely as I can; If I like her, omo, I'll jump at the offer! No story. Abi?

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Can't Sleep by msanda(m): 5:11am On Jan 04, 2008
Suspicious? Oh no. . . Not at all.
Just wondering how much u like to twist. . . And which positions we'd probably start and end in.

Am more fit than you can imagine (unless you've already been doin' a lot of imagining)
Do you think you can handle it?
cool

By the way, ellipses (3 dots) don't work on this nairaland, that's why i use 3 dashes. Just FYI
Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Can't Sleep by msanda(m): 4:53am On Jan 04, 2008
Actually I wanted to play twister. What did u think?
Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Can't Sleep by msanda(m): 4:13am On Jan 04, 2008
Not sleeping yet. Just amused.
It's interesting to see how much jabbering a simple request can generate. toyin, u obviously find reading/writing a huge task. And the slowpoke that mentioned a cafe, why wud i be trying to sleep in a cafe? Duh!
Obviously u guys need a place to hook up. Fine. But like I said earlier, if u r not interested in my initial offer. Do, buzz off--- and that's putting it nicely.

Computers / Re: Microsoft Vista - A Serious Pain In My Rear by msanda(m): 10:55pm On Dec 28, 2007
Neoteny:

hey! windows xp had the same problems before service pack one, and it still has bugs after so many years and two service packs later which is one reason service pack THREE is on the horizon.
Been a while but here's a lil' something i thought u'd find interesting:

Missing drivers, draining laptop batteries, poor software compatibility for 64-bit systems, confusing upgrade paths, and perhaps most insulting, poor benchmark tests when compared to XP have all contributed to a year not to remember for Windows Vista.
Aside from the weak response from the public and software reviewers, retailers have revolted as well, with Dell bringing XP back in April and some sellers now packaging XP discs with new Vista laptops. The running joke that Vista Service Pack 1 will simply reinstall Windows XP might not be that far off the mark.

That was from an article on Download.com titled "10 Worst Downloads of 2007"

Career / Re: Office Dating: For Or Against? by msanda(m): 7:23am On Dec 25, 2007
I work in an organisation that encourages "in-sourcing" and a number of my colleagues are happily (i guess) married to each other (neither can be the other's oga at work)---
However, personally? i don't think I'd do it. For a whole gamut of reasons. Besides the fact that marriage is constantly in danger of getting bo-o-oring, in short, money issues, performance issues, ego issues, ur colleagues professional and personal opinions---issues!!!
