One (minor) reason for Martinelli's decline is Arteta's tactics. He is just a victim. His game is built on speed and finishing. Hugging the touchline and creating chances is not his forte. But if we can squeeze 80m from Saudi with the guarantee that Rodrygo is coming, i think the club should take it. And if Trossard is going to leave as well, then Eze's deal is a no brainer. It must happen.

But I wouldn't complain if the coach wants him to stay back provided that he irons out his deficiencies.

I would prefer waiving Trossard due to his age over Martinelli who even he struggles is capable of double digits G&A per season for an elite winger or an upgrade...

somehow I feel confident about a striker joining us this summer. Will Rodrigo play LW if he joins?, he will be comfortable playing there?. That i can't answer. With both our striker preference going to cost around 70m and Ezeh over 60m(though it's can be paid in instalment) i don't think we should get another forward for over 50m. The business side of the game will be affected especially if there's no serious player sales.

Rodrygo is too small to be an Arteta point man, if he joins he will be a LW... Don't worry let them spend and spend well, some are tired of excuses...


They have no sellable asset ( Viera, Lokonga, Tomiyasu, Zinny,? ) that can generate good funds and Arsenal are generally a bad seller... Liverpool sold Quansah for 35m expect Arsenal to sell a performing full international like Kiwior for much less...

Eberechi will be a massive addition to the quality and depth of our roster. He is a more direct and decisive midfielder. He is definitely an upgrade to Martinelli on the left side and will start ahead of him. He can also provide an alternative to Odegaard. Finally, he deserves to come back home!

I don't see how Madueke is better than Nwaneri as a deputy for Saka on that right side. We have no business chasing Madueke when we have Nwaneri, especially if the former is coming to start from the bench.

I predicted Arteta will chase Madueke and Jackson and he has proven me right, once again!

You should be glad it's Maduke cos if Mudryk debacle didn't happen, he would have gone all out for him instead of Maduke

Eze would be a good addition provided he can stay fit... The weakness of the LWs are dragging the team back

You see that Kai deal?, na scam he run us. Talking about midfield and replacing xhaka and then boom na Kai wey no fit do half of what xhaka does. To make it easy for him, he switched him to striker role. I love Kai shaa, as per na Arsenal player and he dey put energy(wey he fit put) for every match but dat decision was off. I'm waiting to see how and where he plays when we finally get a striker this season and with our midfield already jam packed. Eze is a decent player and will provide depth for Odegaard. Madueke is more realistic as a back up plan, because he can still develop greatly, the skill and talent is there and it won't be seen as outrageous if he's on the bench behind Saka. If kwiwior is leaving I think we should really get that valencia defender. The guy is raw and reminds me of big gabu when we signed him.
Striker, a winger, a defender and a midfielder and I will saybwe had a good summer at the end of it.

I liked Kai too but he didn't really serve the purpose as a potent striker which is needed or Xhaka replacement... I won't mind Maduke ( RW deputy ) if his deal won't affect getting a high profile LW and Striker ( Eze or Rodrygo, Sesko or Gyokeres)... Else he tells us story like last summer " Jesus is train different, Moves different and he's a different striker" ...

This is the issue, No Club in the world gives an extension with pay rise to players above 32 especially when it includes multiple years unless you are probably Messi or Ronaldo with crazy marketing/merchandise potentials at top level in Europe... You can twist club arms in your prime buh not in your 30s when career ending injuries and performance declines, any club committing to multiple years for an over 30 players will pay the rest of his contract irrespective of whatever which doesn't make any economic sense...


Chelsea refuses to offer Lampard, Terry more a year after they turned 31 and even City recently with Zabaleta, De Bruyne etc. ... Club legends all on reduced terms...It's a common practice, Arsenal even offering same contract as the last time with multiple years shows how valuable he is to them...

Not comparing players but Salah actually got a contract increase on his new deal. He went from 350K/ W to now 400K/W. It is the reason why the deal dragged.

We should have given him a reasonable increase, his quality adds substance to the depth to our roster, especially when you consider we are a lot of competitions.

Losing Partey and replacing him with Noorgard isn’t exactly an improvement or upgrade for a team looking to challenge for titles.

Except the goal is to finish 2nd - 4th without any trophy.

Salah was already on 400k when he signed after Mane left.... Liverpool not committing to giving him that for multiple years ( more than 2 years) dragged the deal not increment as per the Report then
