Hello Nairalanders. Hope you are all doing great? This forum was helpful to me a couple of years ago. I was able to get all the help i needed to acquire my study permit and eventually my PR with contacts i made from this forum.
Anyway, am here to help. If you are looking to come to Brampton/Mississauga. Preferably Sheridan or UTM students and you are looking for accommodation or someone to pick u up from the airport or help you settle down in one way or the other, you can send me a personal message. I could be of help.

For those who are still trying to get their Visas and its not yet coming thru, stay determined. I was denied twice before i got mine, and coming down here turned out to be the best decision i ever made. God bless you all.

A few of my success stories and testimonies:

I first applied for a study visa to Canada in April 2018 and was refused June same year with Purpose of Visit.
Second Application was in Feb 2019 and was refused the same month with Purpose of visit and travel history.

In both cases, I used the services of an agent and I applied with the M.eng (One year course based) admission letter
Shortly before my second application, I contacted Frankrobbn to assist proofread my SOP. Despite his kind assistance then with every effort put in place, I was still delayed. Then after my second refusal, I contacted Bracha who encouraged me not to give up and assisted with part of my SOP correction.

Sometimes in Jan this year, I had thought of switching from the Meng to Msc but getting supervisor was the issue. After a series of emails with usual "no funding, no space" responses, God finally came through for me and that marks the turning point in my Canada journey. I got a Prof willing to supervise me and provided the Stipend that fully covers my study around April and then I decided to reapply for the 3rd time in May 2019.

This time around,Qudkom came to my rescue. We talk extensively, exchange emails and I had to even travel to a neighboring city to meet this wonderful and kind guy that I didn't know from anywhere just to ensure I get it right this time. Anyway, no more agent as I am prepared to take all the advice of the gurus to do it by myself.

Few days to my submission date, I had to literally go through all of Franks past post to ensure all my T's have been crossed and I's dotted.

My special appreciation thus goes to Frankrobbn, Bracha and Qudkom who positively influenced my application in a way or the other
Every other guru: Makano, Justmellow and so many Monikers I may not mention. God bless your selfless efforts on this thread.

I need to also mention that I am advanced in age and I have never traveled outside Nigeria before and I also graduated university in 2006 with about 11 years working experience. Married with 2 kids but I decided to apply alone first.
This is to encourage someone not to really give up.

Nevertheless all human efforts, IT IS NOT OF HIM THAT WILLS, NOR OF HIM WHO RUNS, BUT OF GOD WHO SHOWS MERCY....

More Success stories to every applicant awaiting feedback from Schools or the Embassy!!!

Good day, pls I need your assistance . I studied Business Education as first degree and I work presently as a customer service Executive but I want to go for Community service workers Diploma program. Hope this won't be a problem? Also send me an email on Francis_chuks@yahoo.com so I can send you my SOP or you drop ur email here for me to send it. Thanks
Personally I think you can go for something related to previous study or a strong SOP to link current job experience to this course. The VO may not see career progression here.

Hello 95seun. I appreciate all your assistance irrespective of your busy schedule.
I am glad you are interested in his case. It will gladden my heart if you can hold his hand, walk him through this phase. Merci
95seun:

Honestly I don’t know why I’m interested in your case. But if you broaden your horizon outside of NL, you’ll know judicial review are mainly lost, based on the sole fact that it’s purely to determine if the VO followed procedural standards when coming to a decision.
And you contacted an immigration lawyer, did you verify their licence ? And frankly speaking what did you expect the lawyer to say ? ‘You don’t have a case, keep your money’
If the lawyer is experienced and in good standing, you can negotiate a 70$/hr fee, keep the lawyer on retainer to review your SOP and supporting docs, people on NL can help you with the rest of your application. You would probably get charged for 5-10 hours depending on how well the initial consultation goes.
Alternatively, go on the IRCC site to get a list of approved agents, there a lots of Nigerian ones, do the same as above but they’re cheaper $25-$40/hr.
Main reason I’m trying to steer you away from JR is the process of reapplication is faster, you spend less and if it’s still unsuccessful it makes more sense to spend the initial ~350$ and be sure about the quality of your application going into JR review, than spending $4k for a decision you’re not sure of, and something that could possibly be solved by just spending $350.

You mentioned your SOP getting reviewed by NL’ers .. I’ve had an SOP reviewed here, sought out about 10, was able to get help from 4. All 4 had vastly different comments, 1 was really hands on providing constructive criticisms, amending / rewriting paragraphs etc. Point of me saying that is to stress that only you can truly review your SOP, the best anyone would give you is advice gained from experience and most times it’s just structural nothing to vastly change your SOP, the onus is on you to pick and choose which advice best suits your situation. Even after getting help from NL, I reviewed my SOP with a CIC certified agent from the international centre in my school, and my final SOP after the adjustment was vastly different from my post NL review SOP. So man .. idk what else to say

Thanks, does it mean all paper route goes to Kenya??
Not sure, but from what I have seen recently most applications from Nigeria are processed in Kenya. You can also send to tge London office. Hopefully they will respond with information on where your file is being processed.

If your friend in Canada is a citizen or PR, type Atip in google.
Honestly, you shouldn’t even have to ask, it’s easily accessible on google. It’s also on the links on the first page of this thread.
If the person is not a PR/citizen .. type GCMS note in the search box on here and you’ll see people who have gotten theirs. PM them asking for help, advantage is they’ve used the service so they’ll be able to assist you better.

I still don’t understand why people can’t drop sites that have worked for them in the past.
The link is on the 1st page of previous threads. https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

Hello guys. Thanks again for all the help so far. I completed my medicals at qlife on the fourth of July, and my results still haven't been sent till now. I've been calling and mailing them, and have been told to wait till next week Thursday. My worry now is that my 30-day period expires today. Please has anyone been in this situation? What do I do now?
Send a mail /webform attaching the e-medical slip given to you by the hospital to the visa office handling your application.
Mark the subject of the mail urgent (just discovered they respond to such mails faster)

I think it's high time you reminded some ppl that it's better not to respond to questions than to give misleading advice.

Thanks Frank. Yesterday they responded to the mail I sent on Saturday that the team responsible are still processing it. I am hopeful.
Frankrobbn1:

This is a great news for the fact that you applied on 9th May and got a medical request 5 days later shows that the Paris Immigration office will be very compassionate in issuing study visas. Last year study permit applications were handled by several Immigration office. First, it was Accra that was in charge of applications and was later moved to London, Dubai, Turkey and Lagos before it finally landed to Kenya until now.

Applicants that were refused of their visas by Kenya, I think this would be the best time to utilize this golden opportunity by reapplying for your visas.

I wish you the very best in your application.
