Wow eight years! Me here just started three months ago. I'm not that old but I believe it's the right thing. In addition no biscuits, no chewing gum.

I had no issues in my 20’s and younger, but in my 30’s it was wrap on soda for me. I work in healthcare and participated in a demonstration to show “literally” how much sugar is within our drinks, and it changed my life. It’s like liquid diabetes over time!

This drinks are they usually sugary?

Just asking.

Great question! No, actually none of my drinks contained high sugar levels. For example, the Bloody Mary is made with tomato juice, vodka, hot sauce and other herbs and spices. This Sangria was Pinot Grigio wine muddled with fresh fruit. The older I have gotten the more sensitive my system is to sugary drinks (this is one of the reasons why I stopped drinking soda pop 8 years ago). I like my drinks/cocktails strong with minimal sweetness to balance out the palate.

Hey Nairalanders, it’s Ms Travelin Diva and I just returned from San Francisco. I was in the Bay Area for a few days and below are the deets (slang for details) of my trip!

Lodged at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco which is across the street from the ferry building which made it VERY convenient if you’re going to be taking the ferry to any of the neighboring islands.

Day 1:
Took Ferry to Sausalito (Cost is $7.50 pp w/Clipper Card each way)
Enjoyed an amazing cup of vanilla lavender lattes at Firehouse
We toured the Sausalito Fire department, they even allowed the kids to take a ride around the block in the fire engine trucks, very cool!
Enjoyed lunch at Zalta where we had THE BEST sangrias, followed by delish tequila cocktails at “the unknown bar”
Took the ferry back to San Francisco right before sunset, and enjoyed dinner and cocktails at Hog Island Oysters Co, the best oysters hands down in the Bay Area!
Later that night, I enjoyed a late nightcap at Wilson & Wilson detective agency (it’s a speakeasy - secret bar) and the drinks were VERY good and vibe and atmosphere was so lit!

Stay tuned for day 2!

Pic 1 is very from my hotel balcony
Pic 2 view from the ferry boat as we left San Francisco headed to Sausalito
Pic 3 port of San Francisco ferry boat entryway
Pic 4 is view of Sausalito at its port of entry

Travel / Re: My Trip To “Wine Country” | Napa Valley, California by Mstravelindiva: 4:06am On Oct 01, 2022
Just returned today from another visit to Napa.

Here’s a cost saving tip for anyone that loves wine, consider only purchasing one tasting flight and sharing with your significant other at the wineries. It’s half the price and you’ll get to visit (and experience) more wineries during your visit. Napa Valley, CA is not cheap, so this will definitely help cut down some of the wine tasting costs!

Also skip the expensive wine tasting “experiences”, many are not worth it. Grab a nice bottle of wine, swing by Walmart or Oxbow market and get some gourmet cheeses, jams and crackers, and have a picnic at the lake Hennessy or near the mountains for FREE!

Safe travels friends!

The travel section is supposed to be replete with travel destinations and experiences. What you find is unnecessary stories of why you should travel to Canada, why you shouldn't travel to Canada, why Canada is the best place on earth, why you can't save $30 a day in Canada and the disadvantages of travelling abroad. Why I don't have issues with such topics, many of them are stale, old and boring.

Of course, discussions on other subjects are appreciated but from my brief experience no place on earth is an El Dorado. I strive to make the most of my life irrespective of where I find myself.

Let's give out positive vibes and avoid unnecessary rivalry. Let's show the beauty of different places and travel destinations, culture and traditions, cuisines and natural wonders, so that those of us unable to travel can learn from such experiences.

As Dalai Lama said "Man is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present. The result being that he does not live in the present or the future. He lives as if he's never going to die and then dies having never really lived" If you died today would you have lived life?

Cherish what you've got around you while you wait for the better things to come.

My 2 kobo as always, since I don't cents.

I couldn’t agree more! Ditto my friend!

Dami, I just watched the video review of MMIA Terminal 2. It was another insightful trip.

You and @Mstravelindiva always go into deeper details with your travel reviews... Paying attention to little details.

After so much was pumped into this project... I still can't fathom how the design flaws came about. This kind of huge project usually has Project Managers to prevent design flaws and more.

Ciao. wink

Many thanks for the compliment! Greatly appreciate it!

Are we related because the Wynn is a Vegas hotel that has never let me down. I tried discounted rooms at some of the fancier hotels and the was mostly pleased but no other hotel can beat the Wynn’s consistency. We know what to expect before even checking in.
Mstravelindiva please continue posting your travels on YouTube because half of my office has started following you.

Oh wow, that you so much friend! I appreciate the support. I’m working on a few videos for YouTube now, so stay tuned! Let me know if there is any special topic you’d like to see a video on.

And I totally agree with you on the Wynn, it’s the only place I stay because they are so consistent with their quality and service.

I’ve lodged at the 5* Palazzo, Aria, Bellagio, Vdara and even a few 4* such as MGM, Planet Hollywood and Treasure Island in the past (which we’re nice), but none compare to the Wynn/Encore. Wynn/Encore has been my only hotel for the past 8 years.

Happy travels friend!
