gidgiddy: In other words, the President suspended a democratically elected Governor, not because he has any constitutional powers to do so, but because there is no law preventing him from doing so?
Think of it this way. If there was no law on state emergency, would Tinubu have the right to declare state of emergency because there's no law preventing him from declaring one? When Jonathan SUSPENDED the then CBN Governor instead of REMOVING him, you guys were cheering him on, right? |

Trump is such a joke.
Is the United States being under military attack by another country?
That’s what the act is all about. The alien act has only being invoked three times in the 250-year history of the United States, all during the wars. Why is Trump being ridiculous? The felon should be embarrassed.
This is another executive order which will be thrown away by the court, just like all his other executive orders. |

Professors simply develop capacities in their fields , it does not mean they are expert at administration and governance. Take most professors out of their fields and they will start sounding like broken records. The skill sets require for being a professor is different from the kind required for governance. Stop writing like you are uninformed. |

Dhoneymix: People get mind o This is to tell you that not all that travel abroad and building mansions in Nigeria are legit. Majority are into big fraud. If you base your expectations on them, you are in for a long thing. Read the article very well, you would see that even former Mayor of North Miami was part of the fraud and sentenced already. The Nigerian guy was a licensed attorney in the US, he defrauded the system, kissed the US goodbye and oppressing in Abuja till the long arm of justice touched him. A lot of people would have seen him as a role model and dreaming of travelling to the US to exceed his level of success. I have read on this platform severally where some ignoramuses would say a cleaner abroad is living big. I don’t bother to correct their impression. When they manage to go to western world, reality will hit them in the face. The grass is not always greener at the other sides. |

Christianity Etc › Re: What God Gave To Adam When He Was Lonely (Pic) by MT: 1:06pm On Mar 09, 2025 |
jesusjnr2020: What God Gave To Adam When He Was Lonely
God gave Adam a woman not a man.
Genesis 2:18 (KJV)
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Genesis 2:21-22 (KJV)
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a WOMAN, and brought her unto the MAN.
Therefore whenever you see humans doing anything to the contrary, you should know that tendency didn't emanate from God but the devil, because that's not how God made them to be in the beginning.
God bless. And the same Adam blamed God for creating Eve for him. Ever since then, God left the business of selecting a spouse. It is now - “He who FINDETH..,,,” |

Culture › Re: Oyo State Debunks Olubadan’s Death Rumors by MT: 8:59am On Mar 04, 2025 |
Addme: The issue with Olubadan throne is that before they attain that throne, they are already Old. Imagine someone who took up the throne last year at the age of 89. After 2 or 3 years on the throne, they are gone. I think Ibadan people should do away with that system of Kingship and fashion out another way which would allow young, healthy and agile able men to get to the throne. Though the system is less controversial but it's archaic. The youngest olubadan in history - Yesuff Kobiowu - was 55 years when he attained the throne in 1964. He died 5 months later. This means death has nothing to do with age but I will support any amendment if it doesn’t touch the peaceful ascension in Ibadan, Ibadan is the only city in Nigeria who does not have royal family. All Ibadan sons and daughters are naturally born Princes and Princesses. So unique. |

43Ronin: Use that 17m to apply for visit visa, look for any newspaper official working in nigeria and get him to publish some stories about threat to your life, etc then file for asylum once you enter canada. Going to Canada on study visa is a waste of time and resources. There are no jobs and the govt is not renewing post graduate work visa. So if you don't meet up with Express entry draws before your PGWV expires is back to Nigeria oooo The bolded is why Nigeria image is tarnished abroad Do not because of what you intend to personally gain encourage more people to spoil the image of the country. |
