KaLuCh: Do you understand that our currency was devalued?
Kindly educate me on why the naira was devalued twice.
Scratching my head. Oh I think I get it. We needed so much naira to buy dollar that we decided the natural thing to do will be to further reduce the value of naira so we can get even less dollar with it? Genius!!!
Back to topic.
40% of the demand on FX is projected to be eliminated. So we have 40% suplux. The CBN would loose approximately 25 to 35% influx of FX via local currency sales of Crude oil, leaving us at about 5 to 15% suplux. And it is safe to say that other economic factors will easily mop up that suplux but let's say they don't, you really think this is the magic wand we need to wave and fix the Naira?
I think not. Anything that will reduce our demands for USD is what we want and need. Dangote and air peace are perfect examples. Air peace will never request for USD from CBN since it's a local.airline, now Dangote is reducing our USD demands by 40%. Gradually, we are rising as a nation like yeast,. |

Every body can not make it Sometimes your destiny to succeed is in Nigerian or your friend too As for me life has way better since I came And I thank I did I might be in Nigeria go to school and still achieve nothing while you won’t even go to school in Nigeria and achieve a lot
Go to where your destiny will shine Mine shined in america and I’ll boldly defend it and say it anywhere
From what I’ve seen and compared both country
Nigeria is rotten deep down and nothing can change that
Imagine me a warehouse worker with a life insurance of 246k$ with no education wan I go leave for my family when I die 😂🤣
Braaaa abeg leave me oh 😂🤣 To be honest, your corpse will command more respect and dignity than you being alive. Quite obvious. Your death has more benefits than your living to your family. Dont you think it's time to end your misery once and for all? |

As a toilet cleaner you’re entitled to benefits Do you know what that means
Chai Here a manager isn’t bigger than a toilet cleaner cause both can afford what each other want
A toilet cleaner have vacation leave A toilet cleaner has PTO which is paid time off A toilet cleaner can buy ticket and say he or she is going on vacation in Bahamas How many bank manager can do that How man bank manager has the kind of benefits a cleaners has here
Here there is dignity in labour Whatever job you find your self No one is bigger than you
Any it your choice think and feel how ever you want
I’m just giving you my personal experience I’ve been to Canada I know people who stay these countries and when I compare America is doing better But it is what it is sha You are so little in thinking. One, so because you met your "kinds" in Canada, does that mean that everyone in the US is better than Canadians. I will still blame your comparison on your lack of proper education. You even invited me to Chicago to see what Latinos do. You have no fact on them, yet you issued this broad statement. How long is Bahamas to US that seems a big deal to you? Seriously, like i said, I cannot blame individuals that are nobody in Nigeria but get intoxicated when they earn their first 1000 USD. And by the way, with the way you hype yourself, I would have expected you to have bought the entire banana island finish and open the first private refinery before Dangote. Some persons actually earn and live well than those who earn. is Sweden for women etc. Why are you comparing yourselves to benefit earners ? How much is the benefit that you make it sound like it’s a whole lot? The benefits are being continually reduced and lot of these people are being pushed to work. As a benefit earner, you can’t even invite anyone from your family in Nigeria to visit you. The visa will be turned down automatically because they are seeing like “beggars” who are being fed by the govt. Most of these benefits earners are homeless as the govt can’t provide enough housing for them and the landlords do not want them as tenants. Is it the life of benefits that you want? steeltrust: I moved to america with out an education or skill I got a part time job with ups and at same time was eligible for career choice meaning any school I want to go they will pay I decided to get my CDL to drive a truck which pays better After that I I found another job with Amazon full time while I’m still working with ups and hold my CDL and about transitioning to trucking department but when I got to Amazon the feeling was different
I got a whole lot more offers Like learning how to drive forklift Learn Amazon robotics Learn Amazon web services and also got a career choice to choose from list of schools to advance my self and move to the management team if I want to Currently I’m doing a bsc on cybersecurity Fully paid for by Amazon And mind you I’m still with ups part time I’m planning on leaving ups and move to Amazon full time once I get my schedule changed from Monday to Friday cause my normal schedule are Tuesday to Saturday I’ve 60hours work week and I earn 23$ an hour In Amazon while I earn 21$ with ups Why I choose Amazon everything is automated From picking to stowing To packing, buffering, sorting etc But ups is all manual and the management are too hostile but In a I love ups still cause it my first job in the US
Come to Amazon or ups and see cars small boys or 19-23 years drive and you will wonder if it a warehouse job
I’ve meet some nigeria and all of them have their own cars and living on their and doing very well
I’m not downgrading Nigeria but the truth is our leaders are wicked and the worst part their are some evil people who support their wickedness just for selfish and wicked reasons And yes a cleaner in Amazon is doing so well than a bank manger in Nigeria Even before I started school and all that I’ve access to benefits in both ups and Amazon but I picked Amazon cause their benefits are top notch If you’re not a billionaire or a millionaire in Nigeria you can’t even think of having a life insurance As I’m talking to you I’ve 246,000$ worth of life insurance which I service with just 0.34$ every week to stay updated so when I die my family will have something to fall back on I got all this as a mere warehouse worker I’ve not even mentioned other benefits cause you will be shocked
When people come online and talk nonsense Nigeria is better I just laugh I had that mind set till reality set in and I moved and I thank God I wasn’t late
Here in America you can be a school dropout and still make six figures No one is bigger than anyone here If you like drive Lamborghini no one cares
In every country they have their own up and down but you see america, Canada, Australia, uk, New Zealand, Norway,Switzerland, Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy are better but America na the king of all
Do with this little information how ever you deem fit Those who have eyes let them see Most of what you typed was misleading. It was shocking that despite claiming to live in the US for many years, you could not understand that those cars you wrote that your warehouse colleagues were riding were being financed and not fully paid for. They must pay certain amount, depending on the choice of car, every month, otherwise the car will be taken from them. You mentioned many countries and made US to be king of all without any justification. Each individual has a unique case, and you can’t just generalise. Maybe your lack of education made you think a toilet cleaner is better than a bank manager in Nigeria. This is why the whites call blacks names; how you guys try hard to even bring this topic to the cyberspace is shocking. These new sets of japa are the worse, individuals with no hope of getting visas are now having gullible opinion. Mr. Man, you have just penned down gibberish. |

Notfogotten: When we say a toilet cleaner in USA, Canada, UK, Australia is better than the manger of zenith bank, what we mean is that the toilet cleaner will never suffer what you are currently suffering in Nigeria.
Example include:
A. A toilet cleaner will never queue for fuel. B. A toilet cleaner is less likely to be kidnapped in those countries C. A toilet cleaner has 24/7 electricity. D. A toilet cleaner has access to excellent Medicare. E. A toilet cleaner is less likely exposed to armed robbers F. A toilet cleaner eats better food and fruits than your bank manager. G A toilet cleaner has access to good amenities H. A toilet cleaner may have his children schooling for free in primary and high school I. A toilet cleaner has a longer live expectancy than your bank manager in Nigeria. May the spirit of toilet cleaner fall on you in one of those countries so you could enjoy all you listed. Congratulations in advance. |

Have you ever veen convicted of abc? She also thinks that her Canadian citizenship is not conditional. Maybe she has not read the process well. Your citizenship can be revoked as long as you're not a natural born citizen. So people should educate themselves, the only country that cannot revoke citizenship is the one that had no choice but give birth to you.
Many people are traveled but they are not exposed.
That someone goes abroad no mean say dem exposed. Some of them are only there in body but they are still uncultured, they have not had time to reflect, they cannot unlearn some bad things and appreciate the good things they have. They have this illusion that only the foreign things are gold and home is evil. They are suffering from identity crisis. That is why they use their left hands to describe their father's house
Many Nigerians home and abroad are indisciplined and it shows in our public behaviour and attitude to issues. From our politicians to our elites to our religious leaders to our traditional leaders to many of us, you can see how we act anyhow. When you watch T.V. see how we don't let someone finish and we interrupt. On streams, people dominate and don't respect others. People think life is all about them. The reason why we are where we are today is as a a result of indiscipline and the only thing that controls us is law and order and CONSEQUENCES. People think they can get away with crime and nothing will happen to them, that is why she thought it was not a big deal to abuse Nigeria. How foolish can you be to wash your dirty linens outside? Now, instead of facing the issue, what do Nigerians do? Whataboutism. They justify what is wrong and start to reduce its gravity. This is part of the indiscipline. That is why the politicians don't like abroad life, they are afraid of the law coming to haunt them.
In life, you will learn how to caution your tongue. Online and offline So much wisdom deposited into you. I wish I could over like your comment but trust me , they will never listen. God bless you richly |

Houses should be built with spare money, you shouldn't make it a main priority when there are other pressing issues.
Having your own house doesn't even give any financial reward and renting is cheap (in Nigeria). Like I said, wait till you are grown. You are still growing. You have a lot to learn in life. Life is not simply black and white, there are lot of shades of colours in between. |

money121: D0nt be broke because you are building a home.
"You've managed to save 10 million, your first big savings, but the only thing you can think of doing is starting to build a duplex in your village? Tomorrow, you'll come out and say that your village people are after your business. Don't use your first savings or business money to build in your village. The house you build in your village is a waste of money; it won't return any income. Instead, it will set your business in town back. Building a house is not like buying a car. The money used to buy a car may not affect your business because it's a one-time expense. However, the money used in building a house can close your business because you'll keep spending until the house is finished.
So.my advice to you is to not use your first money to build a house in the village. If you must do so, learn how to build according to your earnings, like the example I posted. Your title was misleading. “House” not “Home”. Besides, you are trying to create a template for people, not minding individuals cases are different. Individuals that are doing mobile business will need a car first but individual that has a store might build a house and create a mini shop in the house; by so doing, he doesn’t need to pay rent and commute to workplace. Generally , the way you compared a “car” to a “ house” was faulty. A house is generally considered as an asset while a car is a liability. You failed to consider many factors in your write up. |

I paid tithe once in my lifetime and my financial life has never diminished. I will never pay it again.
Nigerian pastors have twisted the bible to suit them. The first person to pay tithe in life was Abram and he was exceedingly rich before he paid the tithe; which connotes that it’s not the payment of tithe that made him wealthy.
Jesus never paid tithe but he paid tax and commanded us to do. You can give willingly to any cause but not by tithing.
The bible only commanded the Israelites to give the house of Eli tithe. The Elis never worked but only did priesthood. Let any pastor in Nigeria show me the House of Eli in Nigeria.
If you believe in tithe, you can continue to do, not my business. Knowledge is profitable to direct. Don’t let any pastors make you obey anything in fear. |

For the sake of those who may be interested in that pathway, let me be more detailed.
I have my first degree in Counselling Psychology and have gone ahead to get my registration with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and now a registered Psychotherapist.....Google the average cost of an hour of psychotherapy session in London.
I did my postgraduate specialty in Clinical Child Psychology here in the UK and now working as a Neurodevelopmental Assessment Practitioner in the public sector (not NHS)
So someone earning above a million naira (£500) a month will "ball" more more than me? I repeat, you are not regarded as highly skilled or paid in the world. I have attached to my message a job in your career for a "specialist" currently advertised in the UK. Yes, someone earning 500 USD will ball than you and have more savings that you because he does not need to pay 600 GBP per months for rent , cut throat taxes and pay for all the endless bills. You seem you are better off, but you are not. They pay you that amount in the western world for wages to cover the cost of the inflation, at the end of the day, what remains? Your own career does not pay much neither in Nigeria or abroad.

Maybe I can ask my team lead who is also Nigerian and a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, why he is still "stuck" in the UK when he can work in a Nigerian teaching hospital. Without being condescending to your career, Clinical child psychologist is not an highly paid job in the UK. After you qualify to practice, you will be averaging between 35k to 45k GBP per annum. That is way too average in the UK. Don't you think someone earning more than a million naira in naija will ball better? Just asking, not advising you. |
