Medicine in Chile is very expensive and very competitive. You need like all distinctions. The minimum is like 12000 to 15000 usd a year. Chilean doctors don't migrate. Doctors are very well paid in Chile. Resident doctors get above 100k usd annually when converted and that's a lot of money in Chile. Healthcare is of two types public and private. The public healthcare is free but shitty and inefficient. The private is expensive. Education is free until university but there are loans they take to go to university. Also they have a lot of scholarships for their citizens. Hi bro, In respect to this reply, please I want know more about practicing in the UK or residency program for someone with MBBS. I await your reply. Thank you |
Religion / Re: Modernization In The Church! I Felt Odd by MTAIYEM: 12:17pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
OluwaLina1: Happy sunday nairalanders. I moved to a new area(Student area) and decided to attend a nearby church.
These are what I noticed.
-- I was the only one that used scarf.Even the choristers and the female ministers didn't use scarf.
--Almost all the female members are putting on trousers, ladies that put on gowns/skirt are not up to 20%. I was even surprised that the two female ministers and the female choristers also put on trouser to climb the church alter.
--During prayer intersection,I noticed everybody were praying in tongues and it seems am the only person not filled with the holy spirit to speak in tongues. Even when we were asked to pray on our offering, people still prayed in tongues.
And it just seems I'm odd among them or is it that am not modernized? It is a slap that the church is becoming like the world in the name of modernization. My sister, standout in crowd continuously despite the storm. One things is sure, God's standard cannot be lowered. Shalom 5 Likes 1 Share |

Romanoff: We cut our coat according to our fabric.
We didn't sell asoebi to raise funds, we didn't task family members or friends, we didn't beg or borrow.
We did a small traditional marriage and went to the court to seal it.
Everything no pass 800k.
The monetary gifts we got, we used to buy luxuries needed in our house.
Best decision of our lives. If I may ask, when was that? I mean how many years or months back. Thanks 1 Like |

Efulefu: I bought my paper lamination machine in January 2021 for #27k by then.
Got a busy street nearby, where there is business center and NIMC / NIN registration center.
I laminate Nin Slip for N60, other papers for N120.
For 11 months: lets do the maths: I usually laminate 70-100 Nin slip per day, for the hope of smooth calculation, let it be 80. Other papers, lets it be 20.
60x80x30x11 = 1,584,000 (N1.584M) 20x120x30x11 = 792,000 (N0.8M) Total = 2376000 (N2.376M)
That's agood amount... Guys, ladies don't be lazy please, embrace the corn-tree (9ja), there is alot to get with tiny businesses like this,it will only cost you time.
Note: extract sundays, sickness days and other necessary leaves from the 11months and from the total amount. cold, rainy or hot weather is not in my calculation, I use to be patient and work from 6am to 10pm no matter the weather, only if there's no people (may be due to rain), Family matters are not honored by me within this time, to invite me to somewhere, na you waste your time, the N50 is better to me than your wedding or so and so....
Remember, at first I only had N30k, 27 out to buy the machine, 3 to buy laminating film.
I only have half of the money with me right now becuase of:
*Feeding *When I got my first 100k, I bought new SUMEC FIRMAN GENERATOR *My mom and Dad exfences *Bought a new bike for N380k *Bought a plot of land to build a small shop (computer center) *Buying of laminating film, which is currently 3.6K after each 4-5 days *Bought Infinix Hot 10 for 56k *And many other things.
Things that helped me More: *Patience *Perseverance *Prayer for success *Selfishness *Not having a boyfriend to distract me.
I will use my remaining 1M to buy computer, printer, photocopier and other computer center business tools.
Help other youths. This is great little beginning!.. God bless us all |

MARSONE: So a friend sent me a job advert on LinkedIn of a firm looking for a Steam experienced 3rd marine engineer to work on an FPSO in Nigeria.
I sent out my CV to the firm and they got back to me 4 days later asking me to look at the pay scale and reaffirm if they should proceed with the process.
Looking at the pay scale, it was way below what I was expecting and I had to reject it with the below message.
I will be willing to discuss further if the pay is in dollars and monthly take home is above $3500.
NB:
I am UK schooled with all the necessary certifications and very well experienced in my field with double digit years (12 years) experience. Abeg what is the company name.. I have and with friends with certificates in marine engineering and nautical science with experience. Thanks. Or if you can better still help me. |

Career / Re: Should I Continue Studying Medicine In Nigeria Or Should I Start Afresh Abroad by MTAIYEM: 1:49am On Jun 24, 2021 |
daxier: Whoever told you the Nigerian Medical certificate is useless is either ignorant or intentionally deceiving you. Top choices for doctors to practice remain US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany. Both Nigerian and Eastern European graduates will write same licensing exams to practice in those places. I should add that many Eastern european graduates come back to write the MDCN exams and do housemanship/Internship (at least, even if they'll japa eventually). Not sure exactly why it's difficult to stay back and practice over there.
For those telling you the Naija certificate is highly valuable and that Naija docs are highly sought-after, I'll say that's not entirely true. On the international scene, It's about how well you perform in their licensing exams and the other stuffs on your application (such as research, observerships etc). What I can tell you is that there is a level of toughness that the Nigerian system baptize you with that enables you to survive and push through (sometimes even, to excel) in those saner climes.
This is getting too long (Sorry!). If you do have specific concerns, I'll be happy to chat more.
-From an OAU-trained Medical doctor based in the US! Hello sir. I will need some informations from you concerning practicing outside. Heading to my 5th year in med school, here in Nigeria. Thanks. I am sending a DM now |

matt97367: Dear doctors in the house, I'm a third year medical student in a nigerian university, I got an offer to study medicine in eastern Europe, will it be wise to accept to offer and start over again or should I complete my studies here. My major reason for accepting the offer is the fact that I'm scared that I wont be able to practice (or it would be very difficult) to practice in the country of my choice, because I heard nigerian certificates arent held with high regards compared to others from European countries I just want to know if it's possible to practice somewhere else after completing my studies here with a nigerian degree Congrats bro. I am moving to my 5th year in medical school. The choice is yours. To me, no strikes as academic activity is smooth over there. If I may ask, how did you apply for the scholarship? Thanks |

olaxm: Everybody saying CBN ban crypto-bitcoin. It hell wrong oo. CBN ban banks from doing business with various start up company in Nigeria that provide payment services to Crypto-Bitcoin trading and exchange.
Example. If you have bitcoin and you use Patricia app to sell it. Patricia can't auto pay to your local bank account again because CBN ask banks to discontinue this service. CBN no ban crypto-bitcoin trading oo. Bitcoin trading was originally designed for P2P pairs-to-pairs exchange and transaction are verified on blockchain descenralised database that removed cenralised which are CBN and Luno Patricia app etc. Bitcoin trading never end and it can't be stop via (DEX) descenralised exchange and P2P service.
App like remitano provide P2P with escrows and that is what we trader have been using for years until Nigeria start-up company start to emerge to build app around crypto trading. So what CBN did no affect anything in crypto-bitcoin trading. CBN only denied the common man on the street with no crypto knowledge an access to hold digital assets. Shikena. During the corona lockdown, I bought 60k worth with intention of selling to get like 10k profit, but then i started reading and learning and also heard about the upcoming bullrun and altseason. So i held on and didn't sell. 3months later, as of today, i have made over 120k profit minus my capital and the bullrun hasn't even begin
P. S for starters, don't use roqqu, infact, run from roqqu, nigerian owned platforms are just so plane stoopeed in handling customers. Use luno and avoid depression by roqqu, I have warned oo Good evening. Please, I hit your DM. Will want to know more. Thanks |

legacystore: Crypto currency is known to have high volatility which means anything is possible u can make 80% loss or gain in just 24 hours depending on how the pendulum swings.
Just yesterday xrp was 220 and everyone was dumping and this morning it's has moved to 270 for those that stayed on. Massive profit in 24 hrs.
Let's discuss crypto picks, strategies and tips
My strategy is hodl or swing trading
I buy and hold to make at least 50% minimum before I dump and move to the next one.
My max wait period is 3 months, sometimes I hit target much earlier the other time I cut my loss.
Day trading is a no no for me, don't even have such time
Will like to know more of crypto I DMed you bro. Happy weekend. |
