Culture / Re: Should Inter-tribal Marriages Be Encouraged? by Mubz(m): 12:00pm On Jul 01, 2010
iHustle:

inter-tribal marriage should be encouraged IF AND ONLY IF there is a guarantee that the children of the couple will be well grounded in the cultures of their parents' tribes. If not it should be discouraged.
In most homes where the parents are from different tribes you will notice that English is the predominant medium of communication. this accelerates the extinction of the languages of both parents. This way our indigenous languages and cultural values die, while English language and culture is embraced as the supreme by the children.
Many of our indigenous languages are on the path of extinction. Let's be guided please. I don't believe in do or die love. If the person you love is from another tribe, and you know within you that when you start a family with that person your children will be lost as far as your culture is concerned, please look for someone in your tribe to marry. Don't tell me you can't find one!

Has to be the best reply of this thread, while im all in support of inter-tribal marriages, i see so much sense in what you ve said, VERY TRUE. and im talking from experience.

Most rap music hits and naija hit songs asides those that really take their time to sing(asa, bez et al). Its quite unfortunate that Nigerian music is bn defined by all these noise hidden under loud and repetitive beats dubbed on cd

davidif:

DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL AT ALL?? WHEN KAITA GOT EXPELLED, LAGERBACK SHIFTED ODEMWINGIE TO REPLACE HIM ON THE WING TO MAKE SURE THAT NIGERIA PLAYED A 4-4-1. REHAGGEL, SENSING THAT ONE STRIKER COULDN'T POSE A LOT OF THREAT AS TWO STRIKERS, DECIDED TO TAKE OUT ONE DEFENDER AND PUT IN AN EXTRA STRIKER, CHANGING THERE FORMATION TO AN ATTACKING ONE OF 3-4-3. NOW THAT THERE WERE ONLY THREE DEFENDERS, LAGERBACK DECIDED TO REPLACE ODEMWINGIE IN THE SECOND HALF WITH A WINGER LIKE OBASI TO OCCUPY THE VOID CREATED BY GREECE PLAYING WITH ONLY 3 DEFENDERS. IF LAGERBACK HAD BROUGHT IN MARTINS, WHO HAS BARELY PLAYED ALL SEASON DUE TO BEING PLAGUED BY INJURIES AND WHO IS NOT FULLY FIT, THEN WHEN TAYE TAIWO AND UWA ECHIEJILE LEFT THE PITCH DUE TO HAMSTRING INJURIES, NIGERIA WOULD HAVE BEEN DOWN TO JUST 9 MEN.  THIS SHOWS A MAN WHO IS COMPETENT.
LAGERBACK IS AN EXCELLENT COACH. HE IS VERY CALM UNDER PRESSURE, HE NEVER PANICS AND KEEPS HIS COOL WHEN EVERYBODY SEEMS TO BE LOSING IT.

PLUS, I LOVE THIS!!!!
Sports / Re: Lagerback's Fate: Should He Be Sacked Too? by Mubz(m): 6:26am On Jun 18, 2010
I still cant understand why pple are callin for lagerback to be fired. That dude is not just a good coach, he is the best we ve had since westrhof. He reads games and corrects his mistakes. lars cant straighten up yakubu's foot and make him score neither can he make ogbuke score the sitter he missed. If mouhrino had coached the present squad he ll ve failed woefully too. Most of these players are craps, i really hope they give him a chance to scout and groom a new super-eagles. U doubt that though, THIS IS NAIJA, ITS SAD!!!!
Nairaland / General / Why Do People Reply With Insults And Abusive Words To Prove Points In This Forum by Mubz(m): 6:43am On Jun 14, 2010
Why is it that every time someone post a topic in this forum, and someone else replies either with a foolish or very decent statements. The next thing is people replying with abusive words/ statements either to prove a point otherwise of the original. I lose respect for this kind of folks, even if the person has made a decent point after all. I just see it as a sign of weakness to cover up for ignorance, My honest opinion

I ve to go with xterra on this one, there are so many pple outhere bn employed earning peanuts. Way less than wat an individial could even survive with, i guess these pple are regarded as "employed" by the FG too, If they are, the figure might as well be correct.

what an idiot.
See how the fool tries to cover his lies by accusing me of not watching aljazeera. . . i laugh

you have been asked to provide links , hours later you're still yet to find it or is aljazeera hiding the video for copyright reasons?   what a joker

At this stage of the world, u still cant figure out that phosphorous bombs are classified as nuclear weapons, na wa ooo, where are u from?, seriously, which part of the world do u reside?

plus u wldnt even know when israel used a phophorous bomb on a dense populated area occupied basically by palestines youth. u wldnt know , will u? u wldnt even care to, thats what ignorance does,

When did Israel use nuclear weapons on civilians?

You are a LIAR. . . i've watched aljazeera for hours now and there is NO video of the thugs raising white flags. Infact the closest aljazeera came to this your falsity is when the newscaster said, ''The protesters have ''ALLEGED'' to have waved white flags''

Watch the news with your two eyes and stop lying. . . .well at least you are smarter than Beaf

Is it too difficult for you? Did they tow the other ships to shore? Of course they ordered the captain to steer the ship to shore.

Of course people like you and your friends who lauch Qassam rockets from civilian areas,  who lauch bombs from Schools but would later come to complain about the civilian casualties.

Are they not cowards who hide under the skirts of women to launch attacks, why not come out and fight like men.

Havent they done that several times? Fight the whole Arab nations and defeated them in 6 days

hmmm, well, i hope we ll both be alive when the revolution comes around. We ll see who ll be hiding under the skirts then. When the israelis will beg for mercy and it will be nowhere to be found, We ll see, there aint need having an argument, i can see u r not bn objective at all. I dnt ve arguments with such pple, Lets wait and see though,
Foreign Affairs / Re: Israel Fires On Unarmed Aid Convoy. Many Dead! by Mubz(m): 5:04am On Jun 01, 2010
So how were the ship supposed to be routed to the Israeli port to be checked? Use of remote control or what?

i laugh at ur comments, i just hope u wont keep urself ignorant, maybe u must ve invented a device that tow ships with chopper and that invention of urs kills pple on board 1st b4 guiding a boat with a chopper , lol, im sure pple like u also supported isreal wen they used nuclear weapon in a civilian occupied area but is keen to disrupt iran nuclear activities, right?, get ur act right, i wonder wat they ll do wen they ve to fight a war with the whole world cos sooner or later they will, im pretty sure of that,

Unharmed is what you call metal rods, chairs and stun grenades, then what is armed? Nuclear bomb?

So how were the ship supposed to be routed to the Israeli port to be checked? Use of remote control or what?
stop bn ridiculous, i guess u driving ur car with a wheel spanner makes u harmed, come on, and what stunned grenades, u probably need to go watch the video on al-jazerra (thats the only neutral station on this issue). the pple on board the ship waved white flag, israelis commandos fires sporadically from a chopper into the unsuspecting passengers on the ship, israelis commandos starts to drop on ship from chopper, passengers pick up anything they can lay down thier hand on, rods, camp beds and so on to defend themselves from these murderers, Anyways, what goes around always come around, i cant wait to see all these coming around to israel cos it will, surely
Foreign Affairs / Re: Israel Fires On Unarmed Aid Convoy. Many Dead! by Mubz(m): 4:41am On Jun 01, 2010
i cant bliv wat is coming from out of some ignorant pple here, 1st, so israel issuing warning gives them an outright license to fire at unarmed civilians that were 55km from the so called blockage of theirs, 2nd, israel says they wanted to sail the ship to the bank, for God's sakes, i ve never heard where ships are bn sailed through commandos dropping on it (where is the feasibility). Religious sentiment apart, enough is enough, this is so UNACCEPTABLE. Maybe Hitler's acts were justified afterall,

@ Poster, my input will be that any job application process for which you will have to write a test first, will pretty much be an entry position. So the pay most likely, might not be that fantastic. If I were you, I will pay more attention to growth prospects the position/job offers.

Love this, best post i ve seen on this topic,
CHAIRMAN1:

Mubz or mumbasa,
try and be objective for once in your life.
What's wrong with what he said? cant you read?
i dont blame you, i blame the rivers state govt that sent you to do free Msc in malaysia.
BTW where is Ama's post? some other posts also are missing!! angry
Kudos though to Sege and the nairaland crew for this wonderful site.
Seg deserves a national merit award or am i wrong?

Ohh really, so rivers state govt actually send graduates to malaysia on scholarship, thats a good one for a start, Now back to u the ignorant "kadman", Your post again shows the level of ur ignorance, i ve got and an australian masters from monash, working wth an australian IT firm, here in KL on company post, but ur sorry a** wldnt know all this , will u?, First thing first, who doesnt know the pay of P&G will be worthwhile all over the place, Anyways, i dnt even know why im having this conversation with u. I wish u and the poster the best of luck in ur search for pay package from a multinational b4 even going for the interview, If by any instance u kadman get lucky too and get a call up from maybe Harliburton, u can decide to google the pay package and not go for the interview, ok,

kadman:

Don't be silly my friend. Won't the man know the benefits of what he is getting into before pursuing it.

An important reason for knowing how much the salary offered is :
THAT IS ONE OF THE INTERVIEW PROCESS ITSELF. A company wants to know you did research on them, and their pay package is part of this. Also companies want to know you don't under value or over value yourself. The fact that no one on this thread has menthoned this shows most nairalanders are have baked jealous folks who will never have a professional career. Too bad.

CHAIRMAN, you need to google the postition for P&G, you will probably get response for their pay package in America, but you can do a conversion and it will give you basic idea, that's what I do.

hmm, Silly??, hmm, another abusive session started, na wa oo, Good for the poster, if he isn't satisfied with the pay they will offer him he can as well chill in his godamn house oh, sorry his parent's house and wait for the never coming next interview, im pretty sure sure the person that will be given the post will appreciate and use that to develop and look forward to the better future coming his way, And u.(wats ur name again), kadman or whateva, u r just as ignorant as the word itself, btw, maybe u and the poster think u r the only Msc holder around here, I laugh you off, U dnt know a damn thing , do u?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Much Does Procter And Gamble Pay Msc Holders by Mubz(m): 4:30pm On May 19, 2010
