It has more to do with a political ideology than religion. A Jihadist political ideology not shared I must mention by all muslims.

You have to understand a fundamental fact. Even if the terrorists are in the minority, lets say in Nigeria's case 2%, you are talking about 2% of 60 - 70 million which is about 1.4 million.
