nnamdi640: . You should know that police and army has no right to work over people's properties without court order. Those security men have 100 percent right to accost him in and out of the estate. It is in Nigeria this rubbish can happen. If the security men know their right, they can charge the commissioner to court for unwarrant arrest and abused of power as a result of carrying out their duties as security men of the estate. The estate is not a private residence. Get that into your thick skull. |

GhostWisperer: so who was stopping him from attending the event?
The estate is occupied by private individuals who have all agreed on how they operate. Anyone who is coming there should follow the protocols matter his standing.
Being a CP means nothing in law except he's on official duty.
Now you should allow the CP into your house and kitchen because he's wearing uniform and don't demand for the right procedure when he calls. An estate is NOT a private residence. And wherever he is, he is on official duty. |

JohnBullMySon: He has two profiles. One is Mr Odumosu or whatever is his name, the other is AIG with the backing of the constitution. If he were there in an official capacity, the arrest would be justified. But he wasn't.
It's just like saying that a policeman has the right to enter your house and watch TV, because he is a policeman. Does it make sense? An estate is not a private property! Hakeem Odumosu as long as he is CP/security CANNOT be denied the privilege of being one. The constitution empowers him to enter any public place. |

Acidosis: What is too much about spending less than 50% of your earnings to run your home?
You people are the ones fueling the senseless entitlement mentality though. Nothing can be too much for a lady to spend on her family even though I may not agree with the formula and ratio thing.
Some men sacrifice 100% and even take loans. Women should also do same. The senseless mentality is why even some working single ladies would never buy a phone with their earnings. They believe it is the responsibility of a sugar daddy or an unfortunate boyfriend. Trust me. Women just want men to pay the family bills. They always know how to come in |

drediamond: Whattttt? Am I living in an alternate universe or dreaming? A commissioner of police would have to inform private guards and be authorized by them before entry? Also to be questioned about who he wants to see before entry? For you to even have the temerity to think he must book an appointment and follow some ridiculous procedure shows how this society has fallen.
Is that how you people have decimated and ridiculed any dignity left for the law enforcement agencies in the country. So the people living in the estate are so important that they above the law of the land.
You even said a "mere" fact he identified himself properly is not enough. A " mere" fact. It's not "mere" it's the standard. Period.
Let me paint this scenario to give you more understanding. Police duties do not need to inform the person in an estate before visiting for various reasons because of different investigation procedures. Even if it's not going for arrest or the law enforcement officer is just visiting for questioning. He can be there for surveillance and any other type of work that must not be in the public's purview at times.
When we say properly identify him or herself is just saying they will tell the private guards who they are, with badges, their divisional area office, ID cards and other means of identification and assure them they have nothing to worrying about. In an exceptional case, if the private guards are skeptical, then they can call their CSO, who is attached to the estate. The CSO will now liaise with the officers for more information. And kindly note that the CSOs are known by the police officers because they serve as a bridge with the private guards and the officers.
Let me make it clear to you, the officers are not bound by any of your estate's ridiculous rule or laws or whatever you call it. They don;t need to tell the private guards who they want to see or what their mission is, if they so see fit.
In fact, stopping or delaying their entry to the estate can be termed impeding investigation or justice or whatever they are there to do, which can also be used as infringing on protecting safety of the public.
Even in your so called sane societies, the police officers just need to show their badges are that's it.
Let me make it clear again, according to the law of the land, unless it has been changed, and the bill signed by the government. Law enforcement officers have the right for total entry in to an estate and do not necessarily need to follow any ridiculous rules that are not supported by the constitutions, laws or code guiding their mode of operations. Thank you my brother. I am just tired of this forum and its many sentimental morronns. |

@OP
You asked too much of her to be honest.
Women are not after rich guys. They just want a man who will/can pay all the family bills as much as possible.
She will take care of herself and chip in her own little assistance from time to time unsolicited.
These women also have their immediate past nuclear and extended families to cater for to an extent. Most times they don't want to bother you with that. |

tegrianonigltd: From the commissioner of police statement, they asked him or them to call the place they are heading to, which is normal, simple. They didn’t deny him, but call where you heading to and ask them to call gate simple, I live in magodo when in Nigeria. It’s simple, a 1 min call would have solved the issue but razz power drunk mentality just like you having. The CP doesn't have to visit anybody to be allowed to enter the estate. Properly identifying himself is enough for him to be allowed entry. |

GhostWisperer: you should be able to tell when a policeman is on duty and has the law behind him and when he's on social call and is just like you and me.
I can't really tell which is higher; your stupidity or your ability to not feel shame. You need to return back to school asap.
But I know you're given to thugery and brutish lifestyle and alst on some cheap substance.
But the underlining factor is you're probably a thief too and a very insecure whelp who likes seeing his idiocy on mobile LCDs. There is no law stopping security personnel from attending social events. And it doesn't take anything from the fact that he is CP that should be accorded due regard. |

nnamdi640: Mr man, is CP a God? Am 100% sure he can't walk straight to Aso-rock without being stop. In civilized countries cp is treated like other citizens, if not because of the miss used of power in this country, the estate security did a nice job. How will you enter an estate with fire arms and you expect the security to let you in, what if he is an imposter that came to rob with his gang. How can you be comparing Aso rock with with a public estate gate for chrissake The nice job of the security has landed them in detention. The CP properly identified himself. And he was with his convoy. What else did they want |

The CP of a state is the chief security guard in the state whether genuine or counterfeit, any guard trying to stop him is doing that at a risk! how's that hard to understand?
