Has this happened to you before? Please share the electricity situation in your area...PHCN a disgrace to Nigeria and yet we keep paying bills
I won't miss an interview because PHCN or BEDC failed to give me light to press my cloth. Haba! Whatever happened to charcoal iron or probably getting an old iron u can use with stove (that is if u know how to use it), just so u dont miss the interview. Jobs/VacanciesRe: Telling An Interviewer How Much You Were Being Paid In Your Last Job by muelzik(m): 3:35pm On Mar 12, 2015
It will be very wrong, no matter what, to tell lie about your current or past salaries to the interviewers. And at the same time, do not refuse to answer the question when asked. Rather, in my opinion, refer them to your level of qualification and experience and don't forget to tell them that you would prefer they make use of the laid down salary structure of the organisation and pay accordingly.

You need some level of maturity in answering this question because it can as well encourage them to place you on a level that might promote you beyond your expectation.

we broke up because we argued a lot mostly because of her not cooking or cleaning when she stays over, it has been an issue. and yes my friend is single
bros, what kinda love is that!!!? A woman who does not know or want to cook and clean is ur womanhuh Guy, wake up! Do u ever consider what ur future might look like with her not been able to do these things? It is either she put down her shoulder and learn to do these things, or she gets off my life.

I cant come and marry a woman, and be doing the cooking and cleaning, even if I may assist atimes. Plus if u argue too much, guy it is a no go area cos in marriage, this singularly may lead to lots of other problems. If your woman does not respect u or have a tendency to, at least, then u r loving trouble.

Back to ur best friend. If she has good qualities, give it a test. Do as one of the contributors said. Take time out and away from both of them, it is not bad if ur bestfriend is ur wife. Listen, apart from the seducing part of her, to me, there wont be a problem if after two months or three from now, u decided to settle with ur best friend, should in case the one running from lil responsibility does not see a reason to reason with u.

PoliticsOur Youths: The Head Vs The Heart War by muelzik(op): 10:03am On Jan 30, 2015
This is a post originally created by Arc Nya-Etok Ezekiel (II) on Our Youths: The Head vs The Heart War. I deem it important to spread the news before things get out of hand. This is not just for your reading pleasure, ACT ON IT. Read on.

If there was ever a time that this message was crucial, it is NOW. There is a situation that our young people MUST UNDERSTAND as urgently as possible. That situation is called WAR. War is a terrible thing. It is awful, woeful, and extremely cruel. It disrupts all your activities, limits movements, leads to maiming, raping, and all the horrible, horrific, and horrifying experiences that you don't even as must as want to imagine. War is EVIL.

Most unfortunately, war sometimes starts as a joke, a little lack of accommodation, unmanaged ego, greed, and above all, inconsideration. It is usually started by the big people, fought by the small people -who are usually the prime victims.

Two expressions that usually precede a war situation are "it doesn't matter", and "I don't care". Today, these two evil expressions have almost taken our young people captive.

The breeding ground for these evil expressions is the HEART. This is where emotions and sentiments reside. Incidentally, these two expressions have sometimes been the saving grace of humanity if processed from the HEAD. It is from these expressions that we have the famous "if I perish, I perish" quote from Queen Esther. Processes preceded those her famous destiny changing pronouncement. The processes included fasting, praying, thorough analysis of the situation, the consequences, the imperatives, and the possible outcomes.

Today our young men and women, boys and girls to whom the future belongs, are being driven by the greed and egos of the elders to whom POWER is the ultimate. These people have no interest in the effect of the young people. If they did, we would not be where we are today. Our youths are falling heedlessly for their machinations.

"I am for Buhari", and "I am for Jonathan", is all you hear. The reason for their support is, SADLY, inconsequential! Really?!!!
This is sad, almost unbelievable, and, to say the least, pathetic.

These men have lived their lives, and if push comes to shove, they have the capacity to jet out their families and leave you to face whatever comes. Even if they are here, they have tons of securitymen to keep them safe. You? Who cares about you!!
I therefore sincerely call on our young people to start by saying "IT MATTERS", and "I CARE". Next, you should sit down and judge for YOURSELF what you really know and believe about these people.

Finally, when you have THOUGHTFULLY DECIDED who to support, YOU MUST DECIDE THE REASONABLE LENGTH THAT YOU SHOULD GO!
Are you willing to kill and maim your fellow youths for these oldmen? Are you ready to put your future in jeopardy to satisfy their ambition? Is war the only solution -if a solution at all? does it really make sense?

Exactly what is each of them saying? does it make sense? Can they really deliver on what they promise? Have they taken time to meaningfully engage you WITH RESPECT, or are they ordering you around like zombies? These questions MUST be answered by YOU as an individual!!!

My dear, we are all Nigerians. We ALL have the right to be here, and to determine our future. Nobody's future is greater that yours.
PLAY YOUR GAME!!!

DON'T BE USED BY ANYBODY TO FULFILL HIS/HER AMBITION TO YOUR DETRIMENT.

This is not the time for sentiment and emotions. This is not the time for the heart, but the HEAD. The time to use your head is NOW.
Think, think, and think again. Again I say, the time to use your HEAD is NOW!!!

Arc NYA-ETOK, Ezekiel.

grin

The students messed up, they forgot where they were, obviously.

Singing Shoki in RUN is hilarious.

When you're in Rome, act like the Romans.
really funny to me too. When they know they are in a faith-based university? A university owned and managed by a church organisation whose aim is not only to help the student attain academic excellence but high moral standard. Does it not sound out of the way to invite 'shoki' or any other 'foreign' mind corrupting music instead of some gospel musician!?

The freshers need more orientation. Faith-based university is different from federal or states owned institutions.

Who needs your money and do u even have money at all?

Go to your study centre. Elephantiasis is not affecting your legs.

You do not expect an elder to go and look for past questions for a small chewing gum boy.

For the avoidance of doubt, this is the 3rd degree I am pursuing as I already have B.Sc. and M.Sc. In the kitty.
...And so what? If you like, be on ur fourth degrees. What business have I got with that? Does that qualify you to talk anyhow in public? You still need some growing ups.

An elder is expected to know how to speak, and when to.
Christianity EtcRe: Understanding The Concept of Tithing by muelzik(m): 9:35pm On Nov 03, 2014
OP, do me a favour. Please take your time and read the book of Hebrews chapter 7 from verse 1 to the end. Every line pls. There you will understand these things in full. Why the law, including the law of tithing became void. As a matter of necessity and fact, tithe was used principally and expressely as an example, featuring melchizedek, abraham and the new priest, Jesus christ. Read verses 11 down for eye opening to the fact that christ is what matter now and no more the laws, including tithing cos the former is set aside cos it was weak and useless (vs 18).

Jesus became the guarantee for a better covenant (testament) vs 22. It goes on and on. Open ur eyes to the understanding of these things. Tithing doesnt seem to involve efforts as much as freely determining to give to God without been forced.

We have the bible yet we seem confused by so called pastors who aint even qualified to hold posts, but deceiving pple in order to get richer.

You can also read Hebrews 8 as well, read verse 13 of it again and again when you get there.

Dont give room for all this so called 'acceptable deceits' simply because you were born to meet them here on earth. That doesnt make it right.
I am using phone to type. Would give in more when i handle a computer to type details. God bless us all.

RomanceRe: How Long Should An Ideal Steady Relationship Last Before Marriage?? by muelzik(m): 7:38pm On Oct 10, 2014
agarawu23:
marriage depends on the pocket of a guy.

before u think of getting married, are u sure u r financial okay? and u are old enuf to cope wit stupidity of ladies.

you and your partner will decide when to tie d not. dating for so long doesnt mats which is the best because u guys are used to each other.

how will u marry a gal u met within 2 weeks? hope u knw drink 'alomo'? no wander many marriages dont last.

as for me I am not done to get married cos I gat to have my own house n a nice organization of mine. Abi na one room wey u dey for face me I face u you wan marry puthuh
Your mentality will change by the time you are 40 and still dreaming. At 60, instead of starting plans for retirement, you would be working to sponsor a 20 year old child in the University? I pray not.

What I have come to terms with in respect to marriage and when to get into it is to first ensure you are spiritually, physically, psychologically, mentally and then financial (coming last) ready. You may have all the money, yet not really ready (check out some of our musical artists).

Now, I say this, a good woman may be the only reason why a man may want to settle down now or later. A woman who is supportive, understanding as well as you are, will make a ready couple to decide to tie the knot. I have seen most especially academicians, lecturers who are still searching at 45 (the worst being a woman), and when asked, they say they were busy building a bright future. Oh MY...!

For me, I decided to settle down when I met her. Why didnt I do that when I was in my previous relationships? This is not a question for the gods!
Car TalkRe: My Experience Along Benin- Ore Road by muelzik(m): 11:59pm On Sep 10, 2014
boss OP, na today u know say na usual thing for that road? Sorry though, but u must take note of this. When u get on the road, dont u ever, i repeat, DONT YOU EVER give attention to anyone who stands by the side of the road to signal something falling under ur car (oh they now use bike in a oneway? New strategy!).

I have known this years before now. They operate on the express ways. They may rob u of valuables, and rape ur woman or daughter(s) lol.

Nor be today matter, e don tey. It is rampant along benin ore express way, and only experience can teach us all. Direct personal experience, other people's experiences most especially. U r lucky they actually worked on ur car and billed u. They made sure u wont be able to move on easily by removing ur tyres, leaving u almost handicapped and willing to let go a whooping sum of over a hundred naira for JUST NOTHING! They really got u mehn!

HealthRe: Ebola: Lagos Govt Identifies 59 Contacts With dead Liberian Victim by muelzik(m): 7:53am On Jul 29, 2014
my only fear is the multiplier effect that the liberian man's contacts would cause. One infected person may transmit to ten, ten infected may transmit to a hundred all together. By implication (my imagination), a lot more than 59 people may have been victims already. Now my question, who's next to be diagnosed and confirmed infected.

My fears.
