This should be a shame on the Nigerian government. Allowing a foreign nation to drop a bomb on your soil meanwhile the governors of those regions are not interested in the security of those states. Nigeria and her people can't be understood. |

thrillionaire: You're getting it all wrong. I didn't say the leaders are to make anyone intellectual.. We do have lots of intellectuals in Nigeria and they somehow find their way out of the country because of very bad leadership that kills good dreams. Don't be deceived by the loudness of the seemingly unserious youth who are only interested in cruise, we have an abundance of intellectual youths in Nigeria but most of them choose to leave because of poor leadership. You're still blaming leadership for everything. How many of you consume intellectual contents? How many people are ready to sponsor intellectual contents? And with the advent of Tiktok makes it even worse because majority are always interested in fooling! A lot of fooling on X just because of the payout buy Elon Musk monthly. People farm impressions by rage baiting, unverified news, allegations, controversies etc. Got worse that I needed to block several accounts till I cleansed my TL. The government introduced a new tax rule and they keep educating people daily but sadly, bunch of dumb humans kept hawking fake news about the tax rule. And Nigerians are known to act before they think. So they tend to go with the fake news instead of watching interviews or breakdowns of the tax rule by Taiwo Oyedele and other people deployed to give out the real information. Nigerians don't read! |

Namaster: There is something about this Kemi Badenoch that I find absolutely REPULSIVE.
Even when she's saying something I agree with.
Probably has to do with the fact that she's a Black Woman who practises CONSERVATIVE politics. I don't think it's because she's a conservative. I believe she's tainted or sold herself to the world as a hater of her color, tribe and fatherland just to appease her white masters. |

thrillionaire: It's not the fault of our cruise catching youth that Nigeria isn't as developed as the West. When did we even start using social media? It's a known fact that the white man has always been eons ahead of the black man in development. Leadership is our challenge. Leadership is not the only challenge you have. Many of the youth are intellectually lazy. Your leaders are not responsible to make anybody intellectual, curious or interested in positive things. What are the parents doing? What are the teachers doing? |

When people were complaining that Nigerian states lack the adequate facility to cater for situations like this, unscrupulous individuals with no iota of what dividends of democracy is, were defending the system.
I pity nobody. |
Politics › Re: Former Ekiti Governor, Oni re-joins APC 5 years after dumping party by MufasaLion: 8:33pm On Jan 12 |
seunmsg: Segun Oni contested on the platform of SDP. A party that barely existed in the state before the election. If he had contested on the platform of PDP as at that time, it would have been a different case. I am aware of everything. The fact still remains that if PDP had given the ticket to someone more popular, Oni wouldn't have smelled the second position. Oni rode on his past political position. |

Racoon: What else does the country expects from a gang of looting taxmasters with zilch on how to grow economy apart from afflicting its citizens with multiple economic burdens? Well, the sad part of the Nigeria situation is that it will keep getting worse regardless of the leader(s). What many people fail to realize is that democracy will not be effective for a long time in Nigeria if we keep using it unless there's a strong-willed leader that can be brutal! |
Sports › Re: DR Congo Fan Who Honoured Patrick Lumumba Gifted A Jeep After AFCON Fame by MufasaLion: 8:18pm On Jan 12 |
thrillionaire: Again you're right but this is true for every part of the world. People seek to escape their worries and they look for the unusual and the unserious. Even in America - Kim Kardashian and her clan, and a host of other cruise creators wouldn't have fame and money if it was only Nigerian youths that are not seeking intellectual contents. The US, UK, and other part of the world are more developed and are already ahead of us in many things. Both the intellectual and fun side of these countries are booming and have no effect on the other. If you want the best of education, you go to the west. If you need the best of fun, you go to the same west. Same thing can't be said about Nigeria. |

thrillionaire: When you look at Carter Efe, Peller, VDM and all these influencers cashing out, they live in perpetual controversy to keep people's attention on themselves. And the rewards are huge. The rewards are huge because an average Nigerian youth doesn't engage in intellectual activities, contents or conversations. All they care about is cruise and fun. Even the rich folks are intellectually deficient. |

The youths are not even any longer interested in Religion. To teach them about Hell or Heaven is difficult. This is also escalated by rogue pastors preaching everything about prosperity. The prosperity gospel from modern day pastors are not helping Christianity at all. Again what we have are criminal politicians everywhere.
The country is where Jesus will start judgemnet . Religion doesn't make a good or bad person or society. |
