so why don't u guys postrate when greeting elders of other tribes

We're discussing your neighbor's kids, not me. Don't shift the goal post. Learn to have a decent conversation. Don't expect a response from me again.

If you adhere strictly to the way of the Lord, they will turn out well and different from other kids.

You don't need any God/god or diety to raise a morally upright family, community or society.

Turayoruba kids do not greet elders from other tribe, they're born and raised with tribalism. My yoruba neighbours kids don't greet my parents but we show every of our cultural act of respect towards their parents.

Your Yoruba neighbor's kids are the representation of the whole Yoruba race? Imagine your assertion and conclusion.

Shame.

God knows am going to train my child in the way of the lord..Am gonna be a strict mother to my children..No room for bringing them up like this new generation kids that are spoilt brat..

Are kids brought up "the way of the Lord" any better than the ones not brought up that way?

Just like yorubas prostrate to greet their elders but not other tribe elders which is wrong...tribalism is another issue

How?

Culture difference

In igbo land, you don't give an elder something with a left hand
But where I live
I saw a boy of about 20 using left hand to pass food to a man of 80 years.

I tried to correct him but they said it doesn't mean anything.

That year in the late 90's
Students of UNN will us message, you born you to say no

Them go beat you in front of your parents

There's nothing wrong in using either hands to give anyone anything.

Very correct, I had a neighbour then. The children don't greet. This made me not respect the parent. How they raised such kids.
I can't imagine me raising my kids that way.

They don't owe you greetings. Nobody owe anybody greetings!

Stop being entitled.

Even if I had billions, none of it will go to any religious organisation. I can't be feeding a businessman cleric and his family.

She had it coming and that slap returned her to factory settings. I like cheesy.

No, it didn't. It was a temporary thing. She'd definitely get toughen and disrespect her mother the more, most especially when it's obvious that the other woman was a stranger.

Beating don't change kids!

At the bolded, please watch this short clip to the end and tell me you weren't impressed. I was more than impressed.

https://youtube.com/shorts/qlsM94ZAuIs?feature=share

Not impressed that the woman slapped the girl but I'm impressed she showed concern about her bad behaviour towards her mother. However, she could have just passed her message without any physical abuse.

All still comes down to parenting. Couples should learn and understand the concept of raising a children in this digital age. Parenting evolves, and people should also.

Where is the Lyon a.k.a MufasaLion? I am very interested in reading your thoughts on this public display of embarrassment since you don't believe in beating children as part and parcel of their training/upbringing.

If this was my child he will not have the guts to pull such a stunt in public, but if for any reason he gets high on Richy's Igbosere weed then forgets himself and misbehaves like this, the kind of beating he will receive ehn, even Heaven will wonder if he is my child and I am his mother.

The moment they start to act up they should be quickly contained and removed from a scene to avoid causing harm to others, themselves or damage to property. Autism should not be an excuse or justification for this level of damage, if I had an autistic child I would be mindful of the public spaces I take him or her to. I'm not saying you're making excuses or justifying this, I am only thinking out loud in response to your post.

Howdy?

Now, you've brought me out of my shell after some weeks. grin

Well, we seem to share same thought but I still don't believe in beating. If I had a kid, I really can't picture my kid embarrassing me publicly like that. That kid is the product of bad parenting and the society he lives. His parents has probably been aiding him in his bad habits and also neglecting the importance of anger management.

If they don't curtail it now, a menace and disturbance to the society is brewing!

You are a quack lawyer if this is how you draw your conclusions. And, I doubt you are actively practicing as a lawyer in the US. You are a pure disgrace to the profession

For your own good, if you are not a US attorney, don't reply me further to save yourself from disgrace.

Skyeyeye:
What do you expect? You don't table such a sensitive case in a forum such as this. Stop posting on Nairaland expecting a good Samaritan to take up your case. It won't work! Most people here do not have the license to do so, not even 1stGenAmerican. She's a quack, and lying about possessing the license to defend you. Some illiterates here even called her a judge. How pathetic?

Justwise - one of the guys that condemned you stupidly - is not a lawyer. He's just a mod residing in the UK. Can you see how helpless you have become by running to a forum to seek for help?

This is what you should do

Write to NGOs, University Law Clinics, and Associations you belong to in Nigeria and US. They will be more willing to look into your case and draw facts instead of prejudice.

If you claim you're innocent, then I would say "stay strong ", and don't give up just yet.

You sound more dumber than imagined. You're nothing but a cheap, ignorant, uncouth, unintelligent and shameless clout-chaser.

Even if she lives past 90, she'll be useless and a vegetable.

What if the daughter ends up doing prostitution because of hardships and lack of financial support at home?

You can't compare the Beatles with an old selfish African woman who probably doesn't have any investments to leave behind for her child.

They have no excuse for having any child at this their present age.

Down syndrome? On the side of the mother? If yes, at that age, if having a child will be detrimental to her health, there is nothing to worry about.

Can they even look after themselves at their age, talk more of having a child with Down Syndrome?

Waste of time, energy and resources.

Why have a kid at that age in a country that life expectancy is 60 years or so?

Why have a kid when you don't have the energy to be there for such child at that age?

A very selfish man and woman brought an innocent child all because of "I want to be called a parent." Irritating folks!

How many such cases have ben overturned on such premises?
Please, be serious.

I wouldn't know, but since you believe his misdeed was caused by DEMON POSSESSION, you can get all the information online or from attorneys that don't use the constitution of the land to argue at the court.

Seems he's found a new attorney (you) that can make the court overturn his conviction on the premise of DEMON POSSESSION.

My point is he was found guilty with solid evidence and he was convicted for that. Also, that guy seem to be criminal-minded with all his footprints littered online. He might be a product of dysfunctional family and society, which I can agree with, but that still holds no water when one commits crimes. Do the crime and do the time.

It's not about any demon or spiritual whatever.

He is not there yet. He is still battling inner-demons. Only family member can give us another view to his childhood and upbringing.

He has been guilty for over 3 years from a JURY of 12. What else do you want to tell the world? undecided
You are only re-stating the obvious. No argument there. He will lose ALL appeals.
I will not waste my time restating the obvious.
I spend way to much time on ID channel and watching 'stories that touch' on forensic science to get any form of emotional hard-on from such verdicts. Especially when IRON-CLAD FACTS have been presented.

Looking for new angles to discuss. . . .

He's not battling any demon. I knew this conversation would tilt this way and I strongly don't believe in any of such. I hate when people tend to bring out excuse or justify bad behaviors.
