You sheltered someone for 9 months without asking for a penny but he didn't deem it fit to inform you of his travel plans until a day before?

Someone that is traveling would have been preparing for months! It' takes nothing less than 6/7 months to start travel process. He should have informed the guy probably immediately he got his visa not a day before his flight.

You people just like to be ungrateful! If he didn't trust his host enough with his safety, he wouldn't have stayed with him for 9 months! He was just being ungrateful!

That was bad of his friend. Accommodation or shelter is among the 3 basics needs of humans. Well, nobody owe you the necessity to inform you of their travel plans but however, courtesy demands he could have told you much earlier before he traveled.

Then be patient and find someone you can trust to bring it for you. Also, there are logistic companies that could ship it here for you. Talk to them and negotiate price. It's usually affordable. They charge per kg.

This is a nice development. More states need to do this. They shouldn't go and claim the place as theirs afterwards.

I used the word "many". I never said all. Yes, there are those that are winning grants but how many? What is the percentage among all the professors in Nigeria?

We currently should have over 12k professors in Nigeria. How many are winning grants?

I know people that are winning grants abroad and they're just PhD students. I'm talking of grants worth millions of Euros.

I had to ask cause even graduate trainee dey collect above this per annum in most mid sized firms talk less of bigger firms.

Now you see. Educational sector in Nigeria is a joke. If you want the best amd quality education for your kids, enroll them in private school from elementary to tertiary.

Many of these universities in Nigeria have lots of professors that has never won grants. All they do is lecture, fail students and brag about being a sadist.

#500k is more than what Professors earn in a month. Many of these nurses don't even earn up to 250k in a government hospitals. More reason nobody wants to focus on education again.
