One of Nigeria’s most popular music producers, Young John, has opened up on how he ended up getting the name “Wicked Producer” as an AKA.

Udomboso John Saviours aka Young John who is widely known as the Wicked Producer, is indeed ruthless when it comes to making beats.   With his signature on several hits like Olamide’s Story for the gods, Bobo, and Kiss Daniel’s Mama, among others, he is indeed one of the most sought after producers in the country.   In an exclusive chat with Sunday Scoop, the beat-maker spoke on the origin of his name. “The name came from God because I never sat down to form the name or write it down, and that’s why I give all credit to the Almighty,” he said.   Sharing his plans for 2017, the Akwa Ibom State-born entertainer said, “By the grace of God, my 2017 is going to be bigger than 2016 because I have a lot of things under wraps for this year. I just implore my fans to stick with me and watch out.”   On why he prefers to work with YBNL, he said, “YBNL is family to me; that’s why I always work with them most and put them first. But I also work with other artistes such as Kiss Daniel. I don’t have affinity for any particular type of song and I’m open to producing any genre of music.”   Listing the artistes he’ll like to work with going forward, he said, “I want to work with 2face, Wizkid, and other top artistes in the industry.”

Nigerian rapper, Vector took his pen and wrote an open letter to the Federal Government over the hike enforced by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Below is Vector’s open letter.
Dear Federal Government,

You have come a long way with your policies and rule. You have concerned yourself with nothing but the present hence making it look like the constitution has to be remixed and renamed “Your WILL” before your demise. You have ignored the children you saw grow and focused on the ones from your sperm cells and ovulation that you aren’t seeing grow because they have been shipped off to “better grounds” for eductaion. You have put your wives in other rooms BUT that of improtance forgetting (if you married a good woman) they balance you when you go astray.

You have failed to embrace the spirit and letter of the Almighty you worship be it any religion. You have failed the man you see in d mirror because he isnt a beast or metaphysical beign you don’t understand. No, He is the posterboy/girl for greed. You have forgotten how you felt when you were coming up but remember this… you will not forget how you fall. Your money… my bad… our money you take will shame you when you need it the most. The hustling are finding ways to be better but you just want to take from them without giving back. You focus on chasing thieves but never focus on securing the vault they steal from.

In the history of our existence as a generation, we have never gotten levelled platforms to play as we have gotten with the internet. The people have become more exposed to business ideas, global news, information sharing from continent to continent between seconds. Industry has gotten global awareness because of this.

Music has started to look better just because with data you can put up your craft be it music or painting or write ups or poems or comedy or pets or life to make people happy in a steady sinking world of frustrating conflicting governance and hustle.

You concern yourself with your percieved negatives over the objective positives. You are killing the future of Nigeria. You are killing the future of Nigeria. Internet is almost free in a lot of “advanced” countries too. Be careful Nigeria… don’t ruin yourself. DON’T!!!

Anytime I could Fall down and Die because there's A lot happening which got me thinking about life. It's A Big Privilege am still Alive, There's always A bad message when I tune up my social media. I don't just Pray for Paris, I don't just pray for Syria I don't just follow the trends, I tell GOD a lot of things, like God, please let tomorrow be better than yesterday , I pray for the Chibok girls, Imagine they even got an anniversary. Cultism  is taking over our universities, It's kind of scaring me, the country's policies are getting from bad too worse, Should that be scaring me? I have known People died on the spot I was. It could have been Me. The Floors are full of broken glasses but we got too walk to the promise land, What do we do about that? I thought of flying but you know how it is, Nothing too help the vibe. We been living on hope but the fuel scarcity is squeezing it out. They take away focus from the real issue like they take away electricity from the hood. They still run around too bill the real issue. We Got Struggling days but we Got harder Nights. How do I sleep on my bed when some people be heaping sand too sleep on. HOW DO WE SLEEP AT NIGHT
