Most MSC were asked publications. Stop deceiving yourself. Only awards were not asked.

Those who presented publications, professional membership, good SOP/Research proposal, outstanding O Levels and degree have the highest chance of winning especially in competitive states.

If you are from the north, you can easily win the scholarship without any publications and professional membership due to less competition.

Try and do your interview early in the morning if you can. Most of those who did 2 minutes interview where those lecturers are tired so they do not ask for documents like just formality.


It is easier to win PhD too as few candidates apply for it.

@pijay. You did well but you could have given them publication. In the format that I sent, you saw the marks of the publication.

You did well overall.

Everyone. Don't wait till they ask for any positive thing. Show them first andet them say they don't need it ( criteria confirmation changed( as some of the lecturers might forget.

Honestly, I don't reason for asking candidates going for MSc taught for published academic journal when not in academics .

Meanwhile, PTDF mission is to train Nigerians to be useful in petroleum industry in engineering, geology and management.

Though, I may mean to be be added advantage but how many MSc would get journal papers?

I still understand the professional bodies request . infact they may not even reckon with certifications like Cisco , Microsoft etc

Good morning... following invites sent to LSS applicants, information is that OSS as been suspended due to foreign exchange issues. This was said in a statement by PTDF on television.
