Goke7: Even if we win Afcon they will continue to condemn him, Delaw you don’t know Nigerians enough! The great keshi with all he did was condemned like a criminal! Like Dannyxy said I noticed it was becoming toxic. People began to aim for his spirit. Not to correct him but to crush him. We will not allow that. |

minfelix: so in all this you have said now, your point is we africans should be a**lickers to a player becos he is a messiah to the team.
See make i tell you, i so appreciate Osimhen im super eagles than any other player…but if he F up in his conduct, we go talk…and anybody that tries to push it on our faces that life after Osimhen is de@th then i will face the person and tell the person GTH…..a time will come he will no longer be a super eagles player, will super eagles now fold up?……my own is people should not go overboard insulting and blasting him, while does fanning his ego should not go overboard to do it(people coming to tell us that Osimhen should retire and leave afcon) is that not a slap to fans and Nigeria at large? You get my point when you said "my own is people should not go overboard insulting and blasting him". My anger is with people who say he's not done anything for Nigeria. 99.9% of the people who say this have not done anything of national significance yet we are quick to rubbish Osimhen. He has made a mistake. We have condemned him. Let us also accommodate him. And above all, let us remember that none of us is perfect. We all make mistakes. |

minfelix: Baba make Osimhen retire if he wan retire….you people should stop this thing abeg…..make he retire make we hear word….ahaaaaaan whats all this sef….e don reach like this for super eagles?…..since Osimhen and Lookman dey play for us how many afcon and world cup we get….whats all this sef….any nody wey wan retire make e retire….this unnecessary shakara os too much abeg You are hitting your head against your own imagination. A thing can happen where a man is reprimanded. However beyond a certain point, it starts looking like malicious attack. You beat a child with your right hand, you draw him close with your left hand. Osimhen is our golden egg. Whether you guys like it or not. He's human. He erred. Not out of a selfish desire for self aggrandizement but due to his desire to win. I saw many ungrateful, entitled Nigerians saying that what has he done sef. Gosshhhh I detest black people. That's why this race is one of the most backwardest race in the world. Stupid, ungrateful race. It never appreciates anything and that is why it never progresses because ingratitude is a stumbling block and the most ungrateful race is the black race. Osimhen fa? Someone that was almost ready to die for us to qualify for the world cup. Look at that goal against Benin when he dipped his head right in front of the boot of the Beninoise defender. Do you know how many screws that young man has in his face? Yet today, just because of an on-field outburst, Nigerians say he's done nothing. See them, people who are being raped by politicians daily and they offer no single resistance forming self righteous prudes condemning another man who is striving to bring honor to the country. What he did is bad. Our condemnation must be measured and marked by grace rather than this rashness I see you spewing. |

NasirIbnLaAhad: I'm really not interested in rehashing these arguments. I've spoken at length on this same issue in the past. Frankly, Nigerians have demonstrated time and again that they're naturally comfortable making identical mistakes repeatedly. Just last month, these same bunch of clowns staged a boycott over unpaid bonuses right before one of the most important matches in recent Nigerian football history. They refused to train, created a media circus, and went into a game against Gabon, managed an unconvincing win (yes, it was unconvincing. The 4-1 scoreline was highly flattering) and then faced a well drilled DR Congo team, mentally and physically unprepared. The lack of proper preparation showed on the pitch. Most of the players were already gassed out before half time. If it weren't for Frederick and Bassey, we should have lost that game 4-1 or 5-1. The entire nation is still suffering the consequences till today, waiting for a FIFA case against DR Congo that I suspect may not even hold much weight.
The NFF is notoriously disorganized and always - ALWAYS fails to fulfill its financial obligations on time. Everyone knows this. The players know this. The fans know this. This is a known problem that should have been resolved before the tournament even began. But since both the federation and the players are very content to foolishly repeat this destructive pattern, because they are a cursed people forbidden to happiness and success, I've completely disconnected from this AFCON mentally. They can continue their circus for as long as they please. Won't be the first time we single handedly sabotage ourselves with our own hand in a tournament. Rest yourself bro. Saturday we play Algeria. If we win, we proceed to the next round, if we don't, we go home. That's all there is to this. |

Kilishihunter: I didn't even know this additional bit of context chief of Lumumba's killer being arrested in Algeria cause I was surprised by the heavy backlash at first Algerians didn't take kindly to his action oo The backlash was swift and uncompromising stemming from a history of shared pain inflicted by colonial masters. The player has apologized. |

Cocony: Of course. You speak from the confines and limitations of your knowledge. Ndidi , Onyeka and Onyedika are all DMs with Onyedika having some flair for Attack both at Clubsides and National team level. The intent is to dispossess the Algerian Midfield provided we use a 4-3-1-2 formation. We need one of Osimhen or Ademola come in later in the game as fresh energy not Moses Simon who may or will not offer much as per would be subs. Ejuke and Fisayo might also be needed later in the game. Lookman/ Adams attack or an Adams/ Osimhen attack will suffice By the way check France 98 French team formation in the quarter finals and finals and tell me if it is much different from what I have opined. 😂😂😂 Kai coachee |

Cocony: Top Notch against weaker opposition. Quite exposed against DR Congo whose Coach entered the game with a defensive 5-3-2 mentality though partially good but was his albatross. Nigeria will edge out Algeria by a goal margin whether it will enter the extra time is what I am not sure of but eventually Nigeria to the Semi finals. This is a game where Onyedika should start alongside Iwobi, Onyeka and Ndidi with either Lookman ADEMOLA or Victor Osimhen starting from the Bench. Akor Adams should be sure to start. My main fear= I pray NWABALI and SEMI AJAYI do not do anything outrageous in the game.
Choking the midfield with Iwobi playing ahead of 2 strikers is key to breaching the Algerian Defence. Mahrez is not to be feared but cancelling out Benselbaini(I hope I spelt his name correctly) and the sleeky Hicham Boudaoui all through will be a necessary antidote. Onyeka, Onyedika, Ndidi and Iwobi should start. So if you were the coach this is what you would do. Kai 😂😂😂 |

zicky: i find the Osimhen fanboys more guilty of this. First they accuse Lookman not passing to Osimhen as the reason for his outburst. When few found out Lookman not passing wasn't the cos, they move to why will Lookman tell him he has scored two goals. Anything to rope Lookman in and absolve Osimhen of his actions. That's not what I see online. |

If those guys are notl large hearted enough to face the task and get it done with, the idiocy and crassness of our people will poison their hearts and destroy this mission.
Many of the people stoking this division online are not even football fans. They just want to destroy. |

terzurum5: I did not see where lookman lashed out or pointed at lookman.
Victor was explaining something to Lookman.(V09 was visibly upset and I could notice that he cloth the tips of his fingers to explain the source of his frustration) go watch again.
It seems I watched a different game. It is obvious some fans just want to talk down and boo him just as the fans at the stadium did. You may not like his attitude for demanding for team play, but modifying what did not happen to suit your narrative is uncalled for. Some of you do worse than what Osimhen is accused of right here on this thread. Most of you including the media (accidental content creators) crucifying Victor have not taken a moment to analyse what really went on. Na follow follow ona dey do. Why should the fans boo him. If I were him I would have done same. We lost the match against DR Congo because Lookman failed give a simple pass to V09 in the first half of the game.
Dude has done a lot for the national team and I do not think it is out of place for him to demand for more supplies from his mates to score more goals. Does he not deserve more service to score more? Come on.
Some of you fans behave as if you have never been upset with your family/Church members, workmates or even done worse than he has done. Be perfect when e reach your turn.
Nigerian fans that booed Osimhen where just very ungrateful without understanding what transpired on the field. Osimhen was only explaining his frustration to Lookman. Nigerians are self righteous people. Victor is our man and he's human like the rest of us. It breaks my heart that people are making this an Osimhen versus Lookman clash or rivalry. |

We would have disgraced this team.
We just don't do well against Algeria. They always find ways to defeat us.
They are just so naturally technical (Zidane, Mahrez, Benzema, etc). They are who the Moroccans thought they are!
