Yekin foreign club career started in Ivory Coast, could that be a factor of understanding and exploiting their weaknesses or they were just giving him easier passage as solidarity 😂 am just being naughty o

It may interest you to know that Yekini's favorite opposition was Ivory Coast. He scored more against them (7 in 8 games) than against any other opponents in his 37 goals journey across 62 NT games.

After CIV, it was Kenya (5 goals in 4 games).
He had a stint in CIV. That perhaps was the formula

The number of Offsides Osimhen was caught in Yesterday was so awful for a player of such calibre. He obviously has not improved from this downside of his game.
I don't blame him. Na goal he wan score. I think Marco Van Basten suggestion that the offside rule should be dispensed with is making some bit of sense to me.

Go back and watch old football. You will not see this nonsense of keeping a high line compressing the field of play and contributing to the side ways passing that has come to dominate modern football. Cos if you play direct football, you'd be caught in the offside trap.

A mediocre coach with mediocre but disciplined players will manipulate space and even without touching the ball, they will make you suffer and possibly defeat you.

It's high time football is rescued from the hands of coaches and put back into the hands of players.

It shall not be well with Gaurdiola for what he did to football. He destroyed this beautiful game. From jogo bonito, it has become jogo jogodo

Madagascar
Comoros

Lesotho
CAR

Rwanda
these teams during yekini days were highly mumulized…dem no sabi play anything…even SA during our golden generation days were real amateurs
Please always add Ghana. They are now certified minnows.

He is nonchalant. Unlike Lookman and Osimhen who - pardon I can't help but use this word - are always "chalant", always serious and business like.

Imagine Boniface never score a goal for us but he don sealed second striker position... Dessers is not good enough cuz he is playing in Scottish league? but Leverkussen wonder is always getting the immunity and fans are waiting for his goals, even Osimhen is not enjoying such immunity.

My cross with Boniface is that he does not see it as a big deal
I think he thinks that playing for Nigeria is a skit.

Our midfield trio should be Onyedika, Onyeka and Dele-Bashiru...play Iwobi from the wing if he has to start or bench him. Eguavoen gaffed big time by starting Iheanacho and even more baffling that he played him from the wing! like what kind of self-sabotage is that? Ndidi offers us nothing, just another pedestrian player living off on "experienced player" tax.

I'm sorry but players like Ndidi, Iheanacho, and Sadiq have absolutely no business in the NT! Ojediran of Lens is looking like a exciting prospect, why not just give players like that a chance? Vince Osuji is balling in Sweden top flight football, why not give the kid a chance? I'll even take Ariehi over Iheanacho right now at this point- at least he's one for the future.

Aina sef dey Bleep up these days, he needs serious competition in that position and Osayi doesn't inspire much confidence. So why can't NFF try players like Kingsley Ehibizue, Felix Agu and Kayode from Fiorentina? Osimhen and Moses Simon keep carrying this team but for how long can we keep depending on their individual brilliance to bail us out... Nwabali sef needs to stop letting media hype get into his head and calm down. Lookman is really trying but he was so isolated and crowded out with no options available for those lay-offs.

The only positives today were Bruno Onyemaechi (solid baller), Simon Moses and Onyedika to some extent. The rest were absolutely gash. Lots of work and revamping needs to be done going forward and NFF have to come out clear and decide who our coach is after the Rwandan game, if it's Eguavoen then announce him as the substantive coach and find tactically sound assistants to support him (if possible bring back Siasia into the coaching fold).

I hate to say this but I'll gladly take Rohr back if he decides to try his redemption arc with us, his football wasn't pretty on the eyes but he made us play very effective and pragmatic football.
Stone inside delicious rice, that's how I describe your write up and the last paragraph.

I swear to God, I told the man behind me today, I suspected the rain for this performance, cuz it was awful.. At one point I stood up :[ Bad passes everywhere. Benin actually played better of the two teams.

Lookman no lookman today at all, then the same man told me he expected it, say Lookman can't hide again, he Don blow so he was marked. Ekong awful pass upandan. Again, I'm blaming the rain and the slippery pitch.

Today game was definitely one of the bad game. Thank God for Moses and Victor.
It made the players too cautious.

And notice it was when Osimhen was out with the injury scare and the players weren't certain of what was happening that Benin scored.

Rohr drill this Benin team sha.
Because they can keep a disciplined line abi just like Peseiro did with us at AFCON.

I am seeing that this idea is really a limit on real footballing prowess. Once football used to be about what you do with the ball. Now somebody by merely manipulating space will win you or make it difficult for you to win.

In order to free football from the stranglehold of over coaching, fifa needs to change this offside rule.

A team lacking real football quality but disciplined enough to keep their line will make it difficult for football to be really played

Ghana in crisis set to eliminate self

While Nigeria’s preparations remain on track, Ghana face significant challenges ahead of their own crucial qualifiers.

The Black Stars need a miracle to qualify for AFCON 2025, sitting on just two points from their first four games.

With Angola already qualified, Ghana’s path to Morocco looks bleak, as Sudan – currently second with seven points – need only two more to eliminate Ghana.

Ghana's Black Stars
Ghana’s Black Stars
To make matters worse, eight players have withdrawn from the Ghana squad, leaving the team severely depleted.

Star forward Iñaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao, Alexander Djiku, Tariq Lamptey, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Jerome Opoku, and Joseph Paintsil will all miss the upcoming matches due to injuries or personal reasons.

Meanwhile, Osman Bukari, Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer, Forson Amankwah, Terry Yegbe, Ebenezer Annan and Kingsley Schindler have been called up to replace the eight players who pulled out of the Ghana squad.
It's hard for Ghana to accept but they have no option than to accept that they are on the same level as San Marino, Andorra and Corsica. Sorry Ghana 😂😂😂

No. They should retain their original racial and ethnic configuration. If it were the reverse, we would cry and label them as racists. What you said is absurd.

England had an astonishing number of top level 🎚️ players but a extremely negative manager that made a complete hash of things.

If you are a low level 🎚️ player playing in a low-level League and club, you will not all of a sudden become a Messi/ Ronaldo when you get to the national team.

Period.

Only Man City has been playing matches , other clubs have been resting, that's why Man City players are exhausted.

Let me tell you, I had to watch Man City today's match from the beginning to the end just to know what's truly wrong with Man City.
The Man City I just finished watching points to 1 thing, most of Man City players aren't just good enough to play for Man City, they might excel in a smaller or medium clubs though.

Walker is old, Lewis is not worth starting for Southampton, Nunes is not better than any other players in the EPL, Gundogan and Bernando Silver contributes nothing to that team aside just hold and turning with the ball, Salvinho is not better than Micheal Babatunde, that young CB that played today can never be Cubarsi, Doku and Grealish are just to complete number's... In all, if Guardiola should continue, that Man City team needs total overhaul.
Gundogan?

Even Bellingham is making more runs than Mbappe into the final third and Bellingham is the guy playing "behind" Mbappe.

Check out Bellingham's goal today. It was as a result of such runs which the young Raul picked out.
Yeah. I've seen that analysis of Henry. Meanwhile Osimhen regularly makes those kind of runs.

You think it's easy to be a pure 9 like Osimhen? Go and ask Mbappe. See an elite footballer struggling because it's not just in him. He does not have the instinct, he can't make those runs.
