No citizen can dare destroy government properties. Instead of FG to tell us the full story but as usual it was one - sided.

I believe the FG must have encroached on the man's land without compensating him, prompting him to act the way he did.

Following due process on things can go a long way in making this country a better place for everybody. FG should compensate the man, it is his sweat.

You just dont get it , no one is discouraging you but just remember stock trading is not like Fix deposit , you can lose all the 50k and you will have to pay your sister back , people have lost millions including me. If i where you I will send back her money or you teach her to trade by herself . Dont think of the profit from 50k cause you will end up asking yourself what you did . Remember this is Stock market and not Bible study class . Your faith cant increase the volume or price of any stock

You must have told her about some paper gains you made without explaining what stock investing is and how it could go either way(gain/loss) in the short/mid-term horizon. Stock is mainly a long term venture, don't be carried away with the JIJO that you sometimes read here.

Return her money and guide her on how to open a trading account. Show her all you've learnt(FA, TA, etc) then help her with stock picks for a start.

I only wanted to take out time to study the markets and buy the best for her. But since the pressure is constant.

1. That you can now fund your Trove account and start trading.
2. Your US stock trading account is domiciled with DriveWealth LLC, a US licensed broker.
3. Your Nigerian stock trading account is domiciled with ARM (Assets & Resources Management), a Nigerian broker.
4. If you want your Nigerian trading account to be managed directly, they are asking that you contact them.

2 and 3 above is so because trading in any stock exchange around the world must be done by licensed stock brokers and Trove is a Fintech that helps investors trade in global stocks where the investor being a non-resident, may not be eligible to deal directly with a broker in the Exchange he/she wants to trade.

This is why it is more expensive in fees charged if you trade domestic stocks through fintech apps vs if you trade through a broker for Nigerian stocks.
Just go ahead and start investing in the US market as that is the main reason you have registered with them.

Depending on the broker. Some require minimum of 10 dollars to invest.
And yes, you can hold your shares to whenever you feel like selling.

For me owning a fractional share is psychological...as if you belong. SAVE ENOUGH MONEY AND BUY FULL SHARE. If you gain one dollar, you see it and rejoice ...you also get full dividend. and you can also buy with limit order instead of market order


Remember, buying fractional shares does not prevent these fintechs from collecting the FULL FEES.

Hi, am a beginner on US stock markets. The minimum amount to use in buying US stock is how much pls? And again if shares bought didn't go your prediction, can someone wait till the price goes up before selling?

It closed at 15.25 today, so why worry? One good trading day is enough to take you to breakeven price. Note that some investors bought the same stock at N23 earlier this year.
