The Oligarchs do not want this !! So what do you suggest? |

Secondly, fiscal federalism should be adopted as a system of government in this country.
You and I knew that this current federal system is just a mirage. It is not working |
Business › Re: Nigeria, Sierra Leone Plan Currency Swap by Multiplier7(m): 9:16am On Jan 02, 2020 |
This is what I have been talking about. Naira should be the main talk of all these ECOWAS countries not ECO. Nigeria has the capacity to make the Naira the general acceptable currency starting with West African countries.
This is a good move by the Sierra Leonian Government. They swallowed their pride to adopt the Naira currency. I know one country that can never do that even if their economy is shrinking to death. Ghana pride to see themselves as a competitor to Nigeria that's why they are OK to accept ECO to Naira. But all things being equal, whom God has made Great is Great indeed.
I advice other West African countries to follow the footstep of Sierra Leon. It is better to make Nigeria greater than making France. It will benefit us all at the long run. Nigeria has the capacity to play the big brother role by fathering all this countries.
Since plan are in place by the Central Bank of Nigeria to be printing other countries currency, it will be nicer if this countries adopt naira instead of dollar to trade with in the subregion.
Lastly, I see Nigeria having a greater role to play in the ECOWAS region. Appointing or setting up a committee on Economic development will be a great idea. Nigeria has great minds that can drive and control these economies and more for greater good. That's why Nigeria can't afford to fail as a nation talk more of making mistakes in their decision making. It is the Economic power house of Africa and must live up to standard and also man up to its responsibilities as giant of Africa which they are. |

ajl: Ghana as a the leading pan-African nation will surely not align with France. It will severely dent their pan-African image. Ghana's letter on this issue is mere politics. A lot African-Americans are moving to Ghana simply because Ghana is the foremost pan-African nation. For example, total annual spending of African-Americans in the US is $1.2 trillion. Imagine the continuing trend if African-Americans moving to Ghana stops, so does the flow of dollars. France can't be of any good to any African country on the long term. France is a evil country. Ordinary fought and won a war against France but the evil that France perpetrated in Haiti left that country in penury. If not, Haiti should be doing very well now. These francophone African countries should use Haiti as an example of the evil of France and that nothing good can come out of their fraternizing with France. Lol! Which African Americans are moving to Ghana? Please tell us a lie we can understand. The return whatever they did this 2019 is just for the black Americans to know their root which is African. Right now many of them have already gone back to where they came from. So what are you insinuating? |
Politics › Re: ECOWAS New Currency - Compare Ghana's Response To Nigeria's Response by Multiplier7(m): 4:46pm On Dec 31, 2019 |
Okoroawusa: Nigerians are very funny sets of people. The Ghanian Cedis is one of the worthless currencies in West Africa. How Nigerians make it in other West African countries is the Nigerian government subsidy of virtually everything in Nigeria. Buy it, transport it to Ghana, Togo n the rest n make a ton of money. Also the American dollar is easily spent in almost all West African countries but Nigeria.
As for Ghana Cedis,in 2007 it was 9000 Cedis to a dollar. In 2008, they rounded it up to 10000Cedis n made it 1Cedis to 1 dollar. This is 11 years later it's now 5.7 Cedis to 1 dollar. Now put back the 000. What is your answer? That's the true value of Ghana Cedis. Simply summarized my brother. Nice one |

I have said it that Ebonyi should learn how to avoid any anambra thread if they can't bear to start unnecessary comparison. Let them avoid anything anambra thread and this impasse will end. It is not compulsory they will comment..
It has happened many times. They should learn to control themselves or avoid threads concerning Anambra state. For Christ sake both doesn't share any boundary or strong cultural ties for all these, Not at all. How can I argue with someone answering myopic. Never you quote me again pls. 2019 is coming to an end. Go and sit down and ask yourself one or two questions if not go and argue with your keyboard. |

The truth you have to face always is that Ebonyi people are inferior igbos, they are at the same level educationally with states like Zamfara, Yobe etc
In terms of human capital, Ebonyi people are among the poorest in Nigeria. Aboki and Ebonyi people are of the same class. That is just the truth.

Ebonyi should focus more on education and human capital development. |

So you don't have pictures for comparison but you are here sweating and arguing over what you don't have facts for.
This is one of the reasons abakaleke people are treated as shit even in igbo land, because you lots argue and fight without knowledge. Superiority complex must be killing you while you don't even have anything to show for it. Can you mention your state of origin so that let's begin from there. oduastates: 4th mainland bridge is a shortsighted waste of money as a result of lack of planning.
Why do we need another bridge to a tiny island, that will be under water, in less than 100 years. Like the badly concieved mega city thingie, which has resulted in the spread of an urban ghetto sprawl, this money would have been better spent on reclaiming what has been lost. Instead of a single business district , would it not have been better to have a series of business districts like the central business district and use it as a launching pad to regenerate entire areas. Like one business district in Ketu, Surulere, Agege and Ojo respectively thereby reducing the need for a new bridge all the time. That money would also be better spent building a subway system or urban railways system.
1Congestion charge( btw the time, you have to pay) 2 Bicycle lanes 3 cheap Overground trains and other mass transit systems without fancy stations 4 expensive vehicle and driver licensing regime apart from commercial vehicles. E.g Singapore is 3 times the size of lagos, has a lower population but makes driving private cars a very expensive affair. 5 The proposed new city being in dubai( masdar city) will not allow cars into the city centre ( last pix Go and tell that to Dubai government. |

pineed: Patriots and Good people of NL, since the new administration took over in 2015, preparing and implementing several budgets, it seems quite a number of people both 'on the streets' and on social media have not been very well kept abreast or informed on the numerous National Innovations, Accomplishments and Infrastructural Developments Budgets over the years have so far accomplished.. that's the 2015 -2019 Budgets.
This discourse is sequel to the News of Mr President signing the 2020 Budget just few days back - https://www.nairaland.com/5586587/buhari-signs-2020-budget, where some folks were accusing the FG of not having implemented budgets since its inception. I was impressed when someone (Horlufemi precisely) took his time to list numerous FG Budget achievements so far, in response to someone else's accusation that nothing to show for since several budgets have been passed.
This now begs these questions:
1. Is it that the FG/Present Administration via its relevant information agencies have not been doing enough to inform citizens of its accomplishments so far?
2. Is it that the FG with its Budgets plans have not been performing up to its several Budgets expectations?
3. OR Could it be that inspite of the numerous FG projects/accomplishments with low income from Oil since 2015, that SOME SET OF PERSONS & GROUPS DUE TO POLITICAL/SELFISH INTEREST HAVE VOWED NEVER TO SEE ANYTHING GOOD OR ACKNOWLEDGE ANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS, DELIBERATELY IGNORING OR RUBBISHING ANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS?
For the general public interest, I call on Good & Patriotic folks to lists the Numerous FG Budget achievements from 2015 till date. Kindly send pictures and detailed information to back up your lists, that will do great good.
