PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Spokeman - Nigeria Belongs To ALLAH by mulumele(m): 3:36pm On Dec 27, 2011
Just because some confused group is using Allah's name to kill does not give you the right to disrespect Him. Even Jesus Christ that you worship recognizes and respect Him. An informed Muslim like myself will never disrespect Jesus (Isa) because i recognize him also ( as a prophet)

You people are even more confused than the Boko guys
Jesus Christ is not Isa no matter how you fabricate or perverse the name; Jesus never recognised any Allah. Allah is not God.
By the way has anyone read the book,Who is this Allah?  You will see the truth and the truth will set you free.
Christianity EtcRe: Why So Much Attention On Bishop Oyedepo And Pastor Adeboye On Nairaland by mulumele(m): 11:40pm On Dec 21, 2011
One of the evils being perpetrated in this country is the inability to acknowledge and appreciate success and achievements. We are extremely negative and pessimistic.
Are we saying that nature is so unfair and unkind to Nigeria to the extent that we don't have few contemporary leaders (spiritual/secular) that are commendable?
I believe a man like Bishop David Oyedepo should be celebrated rather than being hounded. With all those landmark achievements; this man commands respect outside Nigeria more than most of the so called African leaders. Progressive countries don't persecute their generals.
The haters should take time to investigate how much this man has advanced the course of mankind.
Does the Bishop go about slapping and harassing innocent people? I don't think so.
The society has degenerated to the extent that even witches are so free to say whatever they like in the name of fundamental human (witches?) right.
The slaps and blows we receive from the politicians today are unprecedented anywhere in the world, resources are being unfairly shared, lives and destinies are being wasted; while we find it difficult to rise up to challenge these pilferers effectively,we waste Nairaland pages discussing how to deal with a bishop for slapping a witch.

PoliticsRe: 75 Nigerians From Libya Arrive In Maiduguri With Harrowing Tales by mulumele(m): 4:59pm On Dec 11, 2011
Quote from: thoth on Today at 04:25:49 PM
After all this many Nigerians still believed Ghadaffi was a bad leader,if only they had known what he has fought against for more than 40 years.
While Ghadaffi was there those brutes wouldn't dare touch a black guy unlawfully. They all pray in the mosque together,go to same schools, bathhouse and resturants together, the bigots among can only dream.
Why did his people fought against him from the beginning if he was that good?
Because his people are intolerant of injustice. If Nigerian leaders were half as good; people will not be thinking of revolution now.
PoliticsRe: Subsidy Removal:GEJ Ready For Mass Revolt by mulumele(m): 4:53pm On Dec 11, 2011
Some one gave a lateral thinking assignment and as an addendum to the issues raised in that post i would like to type down my 2 cents questions for what its worth:

1: A govt that was challenged to find other means of saving the economy and seems to lazy or just incompetent to be able to do so is suppose to be trusted with judicious use of the cash saved by implementing the subsidyhuh

2: On paper the merits may look good but so does my C.V. and all other developmental programs Nigeria has had since green revolution in the 60's but how many of these developmental programs, SAP inclusive were implemented effectively as it was proposed to the nation?

3: If they know how much trillion will be saved why has it been difficult for them to release a detailed budget with timelines on how much of that money will be spent on what before what time so their argument can have more weight? or have they not thought of it cause they couldn't be bothered in the first place knowing accountability. monitoring and evaluation are not poplar buzz words to this particular project?? instead he gives all this ambiguous projects with out time lines, (funniest is employing 20,000 out of millions in each state)

4:Considering 1-3 above is it safe to assume their is a bigger picture the govt is not letting us in onhuh

In summary if the dutch disease that has plagued us all these years cos of over reliance on this sector is removal of subsidy the magic wand that would set right all that is wrong in that sector and by extension the nation or innovative, technology driven re-construction of the other sectors of the economyhuh
These questions are obviously worth more than 2 cents. One of the most intelligent contributions so far. God bless you.

I also recall buying 5 naira suya in the 80's. Fapped the money from my pa and got beaten like mad. The suya was SO MUCH I had to call help from siblings to help finish it. This proved to be my undoing as I had blank stares when they squealed to my pa I gave them suya. Try sharing 5 naira suya today.
This is classic. I feel you.lol
PoliticsRe: Jubril Aminu Calls For Ban Of Christian Association Of Nigeria by mulumele(m): 1:57pm On Dec 08, 2011
Tomorrow now somebody like this will become the vice president or even president. people have said very horrible things in this country but we always seem to forget in a hurry.
Never! Gone are those days of ignorance. This one cannot win an election within his ward let alone being a vice president. He had his time and he flunked it on frivolities like school uniforms, nomadic education etc as a minister.
His latest utterances are just a reflection of the kind of people we have entrusted the destiny of Nigeria.
What a pity!

CelebritiesRe: NDLEA Pumped Water Into My Anus – Baba Suwe by mulumele(m): 8:46pm On Nov 05, 2011
These people are so incompetent. If they suspected that he had ingested illegal drugs, they should have taken some of his hair and tested it, because some of the pellets would have gotten on his skin and the drug would stay on his skin for up to 2months. Unfortunately, while the rest of the world is moving forward, we are still way behind.
There is no way he could have survived that amount of cocaine if it had dissolved in his system. It was either the drug was not there or it had disappeared strangely.
By the way, I pity the NDLEA officials involved in the inglorious act of scrutinising Baba Suwe's shit. What a job!

SportsRe: The Worst Super Eagle Player Of All Time! by mulumele(m): 10:28pm On Oct 21, 2011
Furo Iyemeni-The name 'furo' means anus in my language-No wonder he performed so bad.

Femi Opabunmi-He was an old man harassing young players in Trinidad & Tobago,he never really break into the SE.

Isaac Semitoje- He nearly cost us the semi-final against CoteDeVoire in Tunisia 94 (short one)

Garba Lawal-You couldn't really see what he was doing yet the team could not do without him (he shouldn't be on worst players list though). His cheap winning goal against Spain in France '98 was a big relief.

Bartholomew Ogbeche- He held so much promise in PSG but the world cup in 2002 was too big for him after which he fizzled out.

Eddy Dumbraiye-Was he really DUMB?

Abiodun Baruwa-Too much amala (he disgraced Nigeria at a friendly match against Holland.Let in about 4 or 5 cheap goals.

Peter Ijeh-He was a shinning star in Sweden but couldn't kick outside Sweden.

Thompson Oliha-No talent but still a part of the golden 1994 team.Still remember his long face after the ouster against Italy at USA '94.

Alloy Agu-Half bread is better than puffpuff; the bungle against Abedi Pele's shot in Senegal '92 semifinal was unforgivable.

Bennedict Akwuegbu-Just an average players, has been around since the golden U-17 in 1985. He never thrived outside Austria.

Mobi Oparaku-Height was the major problem;he couldn't excel like Celestine Babayaro probably due to old age.

Wilfred Agbonivbare-Commanded respect in Spain;Looked more of a businessman than a footballer (pot-bellied).Was later replaced with Rufai.

I don't think Femi Kuti deserves no 10 position. Lagbaja or Tuface or Flavor are more powerful in Africa than him and Samuel Etoo is more powerful than Drogba.
It is not about what you think and mind you the selection was not based on emotions or sentiments. These are the most powerful/influential Africans presently and the list changes with time.

SportsRe: Why Is The Press Relatively Silent On Siasia? by mulumele(m): 3:46pm On Oct 13, 2011
Siasia knew this before he took the job and is responsible for his own results. Why did he draw against Ethiopia away and Guinea at home? With the talent we have in Nigeria there is no excuse for us not to be in the Nations Cup- Niger Republic and Libya- a country at war are for crying-out loud
Yes,we have talents in Nigeria. If Ghana and Ivory Coast can produce strong teams then Nigeria should produce a stronger team. NFF is not capable, Siasia is not proficient enough and the present crop of players are not skilful. There should be complete overhaul; the predicament is an opportunity to look inward and start all over again.

At least the bronze medal will go to another team in 2012 because that is what Nigeria has always been winning.
That Libya qualified ahead of Nigeria indicates that Nigeria is hotter and more scorching than Libya.Do you guys agree?
