My friend just lost her baby out of carelessness of the doctor and nurses in the hospital she went to give birth ....For the past two days she was having contraction and it was getting serious, but because the EDD given to her was mid march, she reported to the hospital and the silly nurses told her to go that it was false labour, plus her date hasn't reached....she went home and for the next two days she kept on having the contraction. Not knowing that the baby was getting weak and tired...eventually the couldn't bear it and reported back. The hurriedly delivered her of the baby, only for them to discover that the baby was already dead.

Right now she has been crying her life out, even her hubby is so weak and cant bear it.
I need the help of the doctors here or anyone in the house concerning the action I need to take against this hospital

My main aim of doing this is to avert any such carelessness in future, especially to pregnant women who might not be aware of the fact that this said hospital have inexperienced hands and can get away with any action of their

Firstly the hospital is I ikorodu part of Lagos state.
I want to sue the hospital or possible make known the hospital name and location.
I want to be properly guided or advised on what to do.

Remember we have to fight to stop child mortality and any pregnancy related causality which is caused by human error.

I ttc myself for awhile and when I announced my bfp everybody adviced I register ASAP so d necessary test can be done,i registered @6weeks,pls register it won't take anytyn biko and ur mind will be @ rest

The castor oil truly started labour for me but the speed was too much. It got to a stage they were asking me in the hospital if I used something because I couldn't control the pushing which the doctor said could have led to something else. Labour just started with full force. Nothing like 30mins apart or 20mins apart. It was just going non stop.

now I understnd,no wonder u act movie for them hahahah,hows LO hope he's feeding well now?and how DH?

My ds came a few hours ago. The midwife called him a miracle cuz I started pushing when I was just 3cm dilated. She thought I was joking but shocked when she actually saw his head come out. Gratefully, she asked me to obey my body out of hospital protocol.

Same thing happened with my first daughter. I have never known what it is to be 4cm dilated how much more 10cm. This can only be God. Comprehensive story later but we should never relent in our prayers even during the most painful period of delivery

I finally got my docs clearance on evacuation.A tablet was inserted in me and i was given 2 tablets to take.i went home and laid down and after 2 hours the bleeding started with me running to toilet to pass out huge clots of blood.I have taken iburoprofen and expecting a hot cup of tea.i will go back to the hospital for evacuation proper tmr.
I wish all belleful mommas happy pushing.hope to join the club soonest.

Am in the clinic,i stooled truout last9t till this morning so I brought myself,the dr checked my baby and said the heartbeat is very slow so the have started giving me ORS and collected my blood and urine for some test,pls make una pray for me o,am not jst happy

Madam Kaffy has given you the best advice. I know you love lil man with all your being, I also know you'd like baby to be on EBF but a well nourished baby is a happy baby,aint nothing wrong with formula if it will help this situation. It will also help you regain your sanity.
I wish you were near someone that would just take you under her wings and give you TLC.

I have a lot on my hand and as a FTM,its not been easy. I no get mama,my hubby no dey around and I cum get lazy,useless and wicked MIL.

I had to send my MIL back to her place after I suffered in her hand. I ate biscuit and tea for a week after delivery cos of my hand pain which didn't allow me cook and MIL no cook for me. now I ve left lagos for ibadan(my papa house) wen I couldn't bear the wahala alone. So please bear with me. I'm writing it in bits and hopefully by next tomorrow I will post it. Thanks fir the mentions and messages.

Please, my baby no dey belleful o. He doesnt even play at all. If he isn't sleeping then he must be eating else ba to dey scream remain. Dem say na "OKA" dey worry am which I don't know the English name but when he cries vein will show well on his head and also on his stomach and I heard it will make baby not to develop. Please help!

Birth story as follows: I went to antenatal as usual on Wednesday, 11th which was also my EDD using LMP. The doctor asked if I have started having any sign of labour and I said no except the braxton hicks contractions that are becoming more painful. He said ok that he is giving me extra one week and if labour does not start then I will be induced and all what not.
I went home and around 2:36pm of that same day, I started having strong contractions that were 8-10 minutes apart. I knew that labour has started. I ignored the pains and was kept myself busy with laundry and kitchen stuff. DH came back and was surprised to see that I have gone into labour and was that calm. He suggested going to the hospital immediately but I was delaying until we had dinner. We finally got to the hospital by 8:24pm. The nurse checked me and I was 6 cm dilated, meanwhile no show and no rupture of membrane. she has to rupture the membrane artificially. By 9:58, the pains became something else and I had the urge to poo. I was taken straight to the labour ward. I was fully dilated this time and with two pushes, my princess came forth at exactly 10:00 pm. I am a first time mom.
The pains were out of this world altogether but I give God the glory for the strength and courage he gave me. My daughter is so cute that I can't take my eyes of her.
To all the pushing mamas, God will make it easier for you all and to those ttc, you shall testify this year in Jesus name, Amen. There is no need to entertain fear. Just tell God what you want and how you want it and he will do it. I want to say a very big thank you to all those that answered my questions and those that shared their stories. It helped me (&many) alot.

I had same in my first trimester and was checked for protein in my urine,i'll advice u see ur dr to take ur urine for test,if it's nothing then it'll still go down but try and get d test done Asap

Mama's gudmorning o abeg I get question,last night some hrs after eating I started having serious stomach pain,the pain was so serious that I started stooling and couldn't get up cos I was dizzy,i was so scared husby had to go and look for ors solution for me that night,i was so weak and the pain continued but am ok now,abeg una get idea watin cause am,all thru my baby was moving seriously,am 29wks and some days

I am a ftm n gave birth on Tue at 38weeks 3days. At my 36weeks Dr's appointment,my Dr did an internal exam for me and said i was 2cm dilated and 60-70% effaced, he was also able to feel my baby's head and told me my baby had lots of hair on his head,lol(that got me blushing) I was happy about this cos my last scan at 32 weeks says my baby was breech n i came here to ask questions about that then. I had diarrhoea all through Sunday and on Monday i felt better, i normally go for a walk everyday and on Monday i walked to and fro a grocery store at about 2pm. I ate and was just watching a prog on TV when i felt little water trickle out of me. I went to the toilet to chk n saw that my underwear was a little wet,i cleaned up n went back to the watching TV. This trickling continued but it was always like a teaspoon at a time so i didnt think of it as my water breaking. I had dinner and about 8pm,i had a pop sound n felt lots of water come down so i ran to the rest room, i knew at that point that my water had broken, i checked the colour and it had some green colour,i became scared immediately cos of the many stuffs i have heard about baby pooping inside mother n all. At that time i wasnt having any form of contractions so i was torn between waiting till contractions start so i wont be sent back home or to go to the hosp cos of the green colour. My hospital was like an hour drive from the house so u can imagine my dilemma. I rang the hospital to tell them i think my water just broke n they insisted i should come in immediately. I went to take a shower and then the contractions started,i packed my hospital bag and got to the hospital at 10:30pm,by the time i got to the hospital,the contractions ve become much. I went to the emergency section and was made to reg and sign some forms,this went on till like 11pm when i was admitted. A nurse checked and said i was 4cm dilated but she didnt feel baby's head,that what she touched feels like his tongue or something. She went to call on another nurse to come n verify,this was about 11:30pm and the nurse said i was already 6cm dilated and what she touched was definitely baby's bottom. They called on my Dr immediately and he said i need to have a CS for the good of baby and I. I asked him if baby could turn if we give him a little more time but he said i was progressing too fast and so he cant take chances. I

I reminded him that he told me that he touched my baby's head at my last appointment and he just smiled and said that my baby just decided to go back breech and we cant question God.I asked him if we can give baby some time and see if he ll turn head down before i reached 10cm but he said he cant take any chances with the rate at which i was progressing. The whole process was explained to me and i was made to sign more papers then immediately wheeled to the theatre. The surgery lasted for like 15-20mins with me being awake all through but didnt feel anything. My baby was brought out at 12:20am,Tue 10th Feb,2015. I am most grateful to God as i port into this next phase. Na real vigilante o, baby is awake all through the night and he has only two duties, that is, sleeping and eating. May God make it easy for everyone of us o.
