am FTM, i dont really mean she should sleep all thru d night. She usually wakes up at least 4-5 times and she falls back asleep as soon as i breastfeed her. I just dont like dis long break of no sleep at all

Same as the pampers swaddlers, infact I don't have to change my baby overnight, in d morning his bum will neither be wet nor leaky. Of cos dats d essence of buying a good diaper. D diaper is true to its 12hrs dryness.

Hahaha lol. Wonder why they don't even use water. Will be more hygienic and that way one can be assured they wash their hands after every diaper change

Should I buy breast pump and express in a bottle while at work to relieve the engorgement? Will it be okay for my baby when I get home?

what kind of cream were u using for her skin initially?that also matters,then as oda mama said she might be reacting to her diaper,wipe, water try to wash her towel evryday and sundry too get baby tribotan cream

pls mamas I nid help. my baby shakes and jerks a lot when she sleeps expecially her legs and hands. it started after delivery I have reported to d hospital they gave me antibiotics bt she still shakes and sleeps a lot. the jerking is uncontrollable except u hold her. they said I killed rat wen I was pregnant. pls mamas I cry when I see her do it. has any one experienced dis before.

it is very safe that is what I used during my pregnancy and I was fine

I also give cow&gate egg custard, cocktail (those in small bottles) @300 and also Heinz chocolate ( small tin)@250.

NB: all the above are for four months and it's boldly written on it.

Now I have switched to gerber rice meal cereal and oatmeal cereal (supported sitter)

Have u noticed d trend of babies' weight bn delivered recently.. most r within d range of 3.5-4.5kg. I wil rather give a woman in labour a well defined cut dan risk her having ragged tears dat wil make her end up in d theatre. I stil insist dat nt all women get episitomy even ftm. It's well wit us all... one love

true talk dear a lady I knw said her baby weighed 2.4 and she was given tear,dat her clinic no dey waste time o,all d women must go home with tear

My charming prince eats a lot so I had to introduce cereal @ four months. I want to wait till six months or later before I give him pap. He ate 9 tins of Nan+ breastmilk @ 3 months. They complain of him not getting filled on time in creche. But now, with the introduction of the cereal everything is okay. There are cereal made for four months old babies so why is it a no no?

The reason he said so was that, according to him, when he was at LUTH practising, they were taught cutting was a better option than natural tears and would help more. But when he went to specialise under an old-school doctor (who was very good but is late now), that one said Episiotomy is not always necessary because most medical doctors study bodies but don't really understand it, that a woman's body is equipped to handle childbirth and natural tears (as long as they don't end up being big) are easily recovered from than sutures. It's the same thing my doctor says they're now teaching them abroad (don't cut gra-gra like that). Over here, the movement is growing to have birth as naturally as possible (in fact some of their methods sound like wetin my grandma fit do! ) though there are risks (no doctor here likes water birth but they will encourage you to sit inside warm water to soften your muscles during Labour so less tearing).

That's the one I know so far, warm water compress against the area during Labour or sit inside warm bath. The midwife said it will soften the area well and encourage tight muscles to stretch easier.

Ante-Perineal massage is basically the same technique as kpekusing and some doctors will tell you to do it if your hubby isn't nearby.

Nurse Kaffy the reason I'm asking is that almost all the people I know have given birth have been cut. and the way they describe it... (not pretty). So I would like to at least try and avoid it best as I can.

dr's of this days have no chill at all once dey see baby's head d next tin is tear,not a funny experience
