RaptObserver: A man should focus on satisfying himself first. An average woman would be most satisfied when the man is satisfied. Except he is gigolo paid to satisfy the woman. But if it is a mutually emotional relationship, no big deal about length of time cos the expression of satisfaction from the man makes the woman most fulfilled and appreciated. No go do pass yourself. You are so selfish. Later you will blame the woman for cheating when you only chose to satisfy yourself |

dboss12: You may think that my other effort, "CALABAR IS LIBERATED" was a spontaneous and natural outflow of the feeling of ecstasy of someone on the spot; someone who watched and witnessed the liberation; saw and felt the mysterious handiwork of God passing by. More is the pity that all this had not been filmed. The epic of liberation of our state moved on from the capital city of calabar to the mainland divisions. This new compendium is a follow-up of how, inspite of the rebel - leader leading us through the " valleys of death, " we defiled him. Our emergence and our survival as a state are not difficult matter to explain. We were nurtured as Christian believers from the start, we had encountered " encircling gloom " cast by lbos on our path ; consequently, and in Christian manner we had put our hands into the palm of God and trusted Him to " lead us on amidst the encircling gloom." He did. We arrived The rebel - leader had boasted that he fomented the crisis - that he knew by bringing about the crisis he would carve a niche in history for himself.
For us in the south- eastern state, this compendium is our story- call it history if you like; this is our song . it is not one that was fabricated as the arch- rebel did his; it would have been doomed to failure. The links for the anchor and chain for the drama of our liberation were forged "above" That is why, when Gowon, our ship's captain let anchor, it held the strain, rode and blasted all the storms and perfidies of Ojukwu's proposals all of which God disposed!
There are no apologies for this book. what we have all been through is not the sort of matter any generation should ever forget. It maybe by reading this book memories of those who passed on will alert us to the awareness- "There! but for the Grace of God, go I! '' As individuals and as state this is true enough; and I trust you, dear reader, will find reading this book worth your while
South Eastern state of Nigeria, The land of freedom and grace, The land of old Calabar and Ogoja provinces, The home of Annangs, Efiks, Ibibios and Ogojas, The region of early civilizations, Where trade, Christianity and education began.
Southeastern state of Nigeria the land of Cross, Qua Iboe and Opobo Rivers, The boundary begans from Atlantic Ocean, Followed its way to Northern states Bounded in the east by Cameroon Republic, Ended in the west by east central state.
Southeast state of Nigeria the land where virgin forests are abundant, the land of oil palms and timber, the land where rainfall is abundant, where soil is fertile all around, with rich vegetations everywhere.
The mangrove swamp is found in the south, the land of grasses in the upper north, the Cross River sprung from northern side, and meandered southward to Atlantic ocean.
The cross river is the greatest link, the link that counted centuries behind, the people travel up and down, for trade and business of all sorts.
Southeastern state of Nigeria, the home of eleven districts, Abak, Calabar, Eket, Enyong, Ibudu and Ikom, Ikot Ekpene, Ogoja, Opobo, Obubra and uyo, nearly four millions of population count, Calabar is the befitting Capital of southeastern state of Nigeria.
Many things the people have in common, similarities in tradition and custom, with common language, but local dialects, Efik language their lingua franca.
Their occupations are counted many, people of high culture and craftsmanship, they do farming, fishing, trading and hunting, renown teachers, and pastors are many, Doctors, scientists, engineers and lawyers are here.
Our state is where foodstuffs are surplus, yams, plantains, bananas, beans and rice, cocoa yams, cassava and citrus fruits, meat and fishes of all sorts, palm wine and other native drinks, are here to satisfy the needing souls.
Our massive fertile soil is a gift of God, our mineral wealth and many to count, minerals oil in commercial is found, limestones, lead, and zinc in quantum here, this is just to mention a few.
Timber we have enough to spare, rubber estates are counted many, palm oil and kernels beyond the count, cocoa and copra are numbered in , hides and skin and piassava, are among the lot we have in our state.
Nothing to regret in any of our towns, life is normal, free and fair, food is abundant everywhere, hospitality no tongue can tell, women are liberal, men are kind.
Our long associations with the western world had placed us first in everything, we are culture in all respect, we are humble in our ways of life step by step our progress go.
Trade was opened with the Western world, by our fathers centuries ago, slave trade was the foremost trade, palm oil and kernel took the lead.
Cross, Qua Iboe and Opobo rivers, were the channels for all the trades, Calabar and Opobo the important ports,Eket, Ediba and ITU were hinterland port.
Christian churches in the Western world, answered with speed our father call,to bring to us the Bible light, the Gospel light was what they brought.
Scottish missionaries were first to come,1846 was the year they came, Calabar was the port they arrived, they spread with vim the Bible work, cross river banks received their grace.
More missionaries from yonder came, and passed over to Ibibio land, Qua Iboe mission and Methodist church, were founded in Ibeno and Oron respectively, to evangelist their fold in Ibibio land.
Schools and institutions were established, to buttress with speed the bible work, European missionaries and teacher were many, Jamaicas and Sierra-Leone teachers came here, to bring us light of all that kind.
Hope waddell institute in calabar, Methodist institute in Oron, Qua Iboe institute in Etinan, were our Christian institutions of old, where our sons were perfectly trained, in educational and Christian fields, to spread the benefits to other race.
First Nigeria Lawyers came from here, Lawyers Inyang, Ebito, Esin and Ephraim, Dr.Henshaw took the lead in medical fields, many other professionals were to follow.
Many nations came to settle in our land, for trade and business of all kind, Government administration began from here, Calabar was made the capital town of what was then the southern Nigeria.
This can be a proof to all that we took the lead in everything, in trade, Christian, education and government field, we were masters to many that rise, we were kind to everyone and treated all with Godly heart.
Ibo race now shouting from the mountain top, that they are leaders and masters of us all, were then slaves and servants to do our work, their training and education they had from us, Christian religion we gave to them, Good feeding and dressing they learnt from us, No one can deny that genuine truth.
politics is a dirty game they say,the thing I shall hate till end of my life, it makes street boys to be the rulers, slaves and servants to rule their masters, because they can muster the majority, when politics came to Nigeria first, our country was made three regions, our section was eastern region and Ibos were counted in majority, in the first elected eastern house in 1951, professor Eyo ita became the first government leader, his government was toppled by Ibo people because it was not led by lboman because lbo were counted in majority.
This brought a big crisis in 1953, sir Clement pleace the then governor, saw clearly the wicked intentions of lbomen, he fought in vain to enthron justice, He was defeated by ibo leaders teaming up, because ibo were counted in majority,
Dr. Azikiwe who was in western Nigeria then, stood but failed in a fair and free election there, was brought and made the government leader, just because he was an iboman and because ibo were counted in majority.
Southern Cameroon which was then in eastern Nigeria saw at once the danger of Ibo menace, Dr. Enderly who was the Cameroon leader, strove with courage to separate his people, and succeeded at last to win their state, for sake Ibos domineering attitude, Nigeria missed southern Cameroon

Ctorch: A former Corps member, Adejo Alexander Johnson, has advised prospective corps members not to be in a hurry to seek redeployment from states they are posted to for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). He regretted that some to-be corps members had missed their divine opportunities by redeploying from states they weare posted to because of wrong perception about the people. Adejo, a native of Benue State, who served in Anambra State under 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream II, said he sought redeployment because he erroneously thought the people were selfish and tribalistic. The Mass Communication graduate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, however, said his service year turned out to be life transforming. He said: “I was posted to Anambra State but had intention to relocate. I heard a whole lot about Igbo people, and how they segregate and prefer theirs to yours. “The most threatening thing I heard about them is that they eat humans. My mom told me about her relation that was killed. I had a senior colleague in school, who they said was ‘killed’ during his service year in Enugu. “When I got to camp, the first thing I did was to make my intention to redeploy known to the Coordinator. But he said he saw the potential in me that I will do well in the state. I was really not convinced. “But in the course of the orientation, I had opportunities to do so many things. I was the camp MC and handled so many social activities as well as repairs of camp gadgets. “After that, it was a whole different perception. The hospitality I received in and outside camp was amazing. “I called my mom and told her I am no longer going to relocate. I must confess my experience here was really mind blowing. I enjoyed the people and their culture.” Adejo, who served as a teacher at the Kenneth Dike Memorial Secondary School, Awka, said he would not be returning home after the service, having secured a job with a media organization in the state. “Trust me; I’m not even leaving the state soon. I have two plans. At the moment, I am running an internship with a media outfit in the capital city. In the course of the pandemic, I decided to build up my journalism skills. I spoke with the director of the company. I am working there as a reporter. “I am also making plans to run a Master’s programme at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK). So, these will definitely keep me in Anambra in the next one to two years before God tells me the next plan,” he said.

And please stop flattering yourselfs with this idea that so many igbos are not in their land because not economically endowed. Igbos are every where in this world. How many times do we need to stress this out for you guys to understand. Igbos are in the villages, in the towns, in the cities. You can find igbos in the most remote village in the world doing business. That's why we are called travellers. If igbos are only in developed places, why do you think that they are still in the north east? Does that place look developed? There is a difference between burning down Nigeria and asking for your country. We all know the people that burn down the country but unfortunately, they are not asked to provide bridges before they are voted. There is no alliance that we have not formed. We have voted virtually every region in the country without even asking for a bridge. The question is, which bridge have you formed with the igbos? |

FrLukas: Igbo presidency shouldn't concern you since you are for biafra, right?
So there's no need to write about Igbo presidency or building bridges or not.
Instead you should write on how you've refused all this while to build bridges with a potential ally in the West to get your Biafra.
Seems the organizers of IPOB are starting to realize this, hence their putting a full stop to Yoruba cursing. Igbo presidency does not concern me at all. I am only concerned about the accusation that we don't build bridges which is a big fat lie. No tribe in this country have ever build the bridges you talk about like the igbos do. I have been hearing of this bridges since the present administration came on board. This is actually the biggest lie I have ever heard. Which bridge did the north and South west build when they were contesting for presidency. Did the igbos ask for bridges then? Hypocrites |

BigTableShaker: Fuckers....
When will flati get sense?!
In their confusion, infusion and frustration arising from pride and over estimation of themselves leading them to a series of saboteur maniac syndromes.
Igbos broadly divided other Nigerians into three broad categories. Those they hate, those they deride and those they fear. Those they hate are the yorubas whom they call traitors, tribalists and cowards. Yet no race in Nigeria have been more tribal than the lbos.
There are historical facts to prove this. If something is ten and igbos are not allowed to take 15, so that the rest of us can share minus 5, lgbos will cry marginalisation and label the rest us tribalists. However there is no race in this country that have been more accommodating of the lgbos than the Yorubas, there is no single igbo leader that did not grow up in the South West or is a beneficiary of Yoruba largesse.
Zik went to CMS GRAMMAR SCHOOL, Adolphus wabara went to AHMADIYA COLLEGE AGEGE, Ken Nnamani went to LOYOLA COLLEGE IBADAN, Ojukwu and Ekwueme went to KINGS COLLEGE, Okpara went to YABA TECH while Phillip Emegwali went to AQUINAS COLLEGE, AKURE. Even my brother Anadu went to IMADE COLLEGE OWO etc All major Igbo politicians cut their political teeth in the West. Their major religious leaders cannot thrive outside the West. Pastor Muoka, Pastor Ezekiel of Four Square and Okonkwo of TREM are examples.
I remember that after the civil WAR, Igbos who came back to ILE IFE were allowed TUITION FREE while the YORUBAS in NSUKKA were rusticated. Example is Pastor Adeboye. Yet lgbos reserve their greatest hatred for the Yorubas for reasons being that the yorubas refused to be dominated by the lbos to confront the North.
As to the label of cowardice, had there been any war between the yorubas and the lbos in which the lbos defeated the Yorubas? In the whole ancestral history of Ndigbo, which war has the forefathers or great forefathers fought? Any empire in their history? Yet the yorubas have worsted the lgbos four times in the political history of Nigeria.
As to the label of treachery, had there been any agreement the yorubas signed with the lbos and they reneged? The answer is no. Yet the yorubas have records of Igbo treachery on the two occasions they formed alliance with them. In 1964 to fight the federal election, the yorubas formed an Alliance called UPGA with the Ibos to be led by Okpara because major Yoruba leaders were in jail. There was an agreement that the election must be boycotted. The Igbos sabotaged it, went and contested election while the West kept to the agreement.
In 1979 the West went into alliance with the lbos and formed PPA - PROGRESSIVE PEOPLE ALLIANCE. Again Igbo sabotaged it so that they can produce Speaker house of Representatives. Who then is traitor? The second category are the Eastern minorities made up of present Rivers, Akwa lbom, Cross Rivers and Bayelsa. The igbos see them as subhuman with tidal brain. Until the creation of Rivers State by Gowon, no OGONI man can sleep on the hospital bed in Bori GENERAL HOSPITAL . As at 1977 only UYO ,PHC and CALABAR had electricity light. They were so underdeveloped by their Igbo overseers that you will think that you were in the Congo jungle.
Until Diette Spiff, there was no Ikwere named Street in Port Harcourt. To show how deep the derision is, the present Biafran agitatators changed the name of RIBISI (Phc) to IGWOCHA as if the IKWERES do not exist.
The third category are the Hausa Fulani. The igbos pretend to hate the Fulanis but the truth is that the Igbo man is subservient to them. Ignore the noise. There are historical facts to justify this. Zik served under BALEWA, EKWUEME served under SHAGARI and EKEREMANDU zoned the PDP presidency to the North because he wants to be the VICE PRESIDENT to a Northerner. After the civil war and OJUKWU was granted amnesty for his rebellion against constituted authority, he returned to Nigeria and he joined the Hausa fulani party (NPN) of those he accused of genocide against his Igbo people. It is Igbo tragedy that they hate and deride those who grow and sustain them while they cringe to those(the hausas) who kick them like balls. Igbos are the only race in nigeria that celebrate failure. In 1982, the igbos celebrated the defeat of biafra by welcoming ojukwu with fanfare on his return from asylum haven been granted amnesty by the igbo overlords- the hausa fulani. He revelled in the fanfare and promptly married FFK left over- forgotten the over 3million lgbos that died in the war and with many of them languishing at OJI RIVER CAMP.
The second celebration is the release of kanu with the most humiliating bail conditions ever granted an accused in the annals of Nigerian justice system. A bail conditions targeted at the entire Igbo race and granted by an Hausa Fulani judge. I could not believe that with all the noise, such bail conditions will be signed. But he signed and in his eagerness to leave kuje he abandoned his two conspirators in kuje. The bail conditions wiped out the Identity of the ibos and EKEREMANDU was made the enforcer of the conditions. FFK is a polemist like Femi ARIBISALA etc. They have the capacity to argue both sides of the same point. The igbos regard him as their hero just like Ayo fayose the Eze gburugburu the second. I hope very soon the by Igbo will not start blaming fayose as they blamed Awo for everything that went wrong with their prosecution of the biafran war. I rest. Just look at how you wrote a long epistle of rubbish . Show me the bridge that you built ohhh! |

For days now, the internet have been carrying news of the interview carried out on a top Nigerian northern politician, Isa funtua where he made a statement concerning igbo presidency, stating that the igbos do not build bridges, and so cannot get the presidency. That is where I am focusing on today. Unfortunately, so many nigerians have supported this statement and have been bashing the igbos, saying that they do not build the imaginary bridges. First of all let me make it clear to nairalanders that I personally do not give a hoot about igbo presidency. It will not change the south east, igbos, or Nigeria in general, and I believe many igbos feel this way. So I think presidency will just be like an add up to the numerous achievement of the igbos. So taking about bridges, what do they mean? Does building bridges mean that a whole full region should vote for a particular party out the above 75 political parties in Nigeria ? Or does building bridges mean that you have to vote for a particular individual? I don't really get. Oya let us analyse this thing. Let me ask nigerians. Is there any region in Nigeria that can measure up to the igbos in terms of building bridges? The igbos do their business everywhere because they "believe " that they are in a country of equal rights. There is no in Nigeria that has ever sacrificed alot for the country like the igbos . They build everywhere, trade everywhere and can own properties everywhere. Can any region in Nigeria boast of the same? What bridges are you even talking about? As it stands now, the south east is the only region in Nigeria that have voted for every region in Nigeria . Can other regions boast of the same? Sadly, the igbos are the only people that carry the spirit of one Nigeria without being appreciated. Nigerians should see their fault, and make amends. Let me stop with this question. Which bridge or flyover or whatever have any region built with the igbos? Why must it be about igbos building bridges? Why can't other regions build too? |

FirstSon01: Obj was already a very popular army General and fmr head of state imprisoned by a new military govt, so when Gen. Abdulsalami wanted to apologize to Yorubas for June 12 he released him to come contest the election. Check well most early democratic rulers are all retired generals who left the army to still retain power as civilians under "lawful rule" for example David mark, Buhari, Yar Adua, Obj. They've been preparing for it for a long time. No one will just wake up one day and just hand over presidency to a certain tribe. There are a lot of politicians eyeing that post already so the best will obviously take it. You are dodging the question. You said that igbos should work on themselves and prepare solidly like other tribes have been doing. Oya tell me how you prepared for obasanjo's victory, how the north prepared for yaradua's victory, and how the ijaws prepared for Jonathan's victory, and then you should tell me whether igbo were wrong in voting for them. Start with obasanjo. |

FirstSon01: Igbo's can't win elections by creating one million threads on nairaland daily. An Igbo president can only come by having a formidable candidate in one of the major parties. They should go and work on themselves and prepare solidly like other tribes have been doing many years before now. Buhari contested and lost a lot of elections before 2015 when he was able to get emotions running high in the major voting populations. My two cents How did you prepare for obasanjo's victory. Please educate us. |

This is the most stupid statement I have ever heard since the day I concluded that Nigeria will never be better. The fact that it is coming from a top politician is very surprising. So is this man saying that igbos do not belong to any of the political parties in Nigeria? Or is he saying that the all politicians in igbo land should belong to one useless party for an igbo man to be voted a president? Oh igbos have suffered. I don't know why people are giving themselves unnecessary trouble. If the ikwerres are not igbos, then what are they, where do they come from and who is stopping them from going back? If the igbos were very bad as they are painting it, and other tribes were good, why on earth did they choose igbo language to copy and corrupt for crying out loud? Ehh? There were other tribes to copy ohh ! Benin , isoko, yoruba, even their neighbors ijaws were there ohh. I don't know why it is igbo that they choose to copy and then turn around to say that the igbos are forcing them to be igbo. What nonsense. Who does that? I don't know why nobody is asking them these questions but instead accuse the igbos of wanting their land and resources. Is that not stupid? This ikwerre issue is becoming very annoying. If they don't like igbo, they should go back to the one were speaking or the tribe they like. |
