Viking07: lol you’re wasting your time with that man. Canada is not as bad as they paint it here on Nairaland. I am currently in Toronto. In fact na inside bank I dey like this. I’m about to open my TD bank account. Yes, they open on Saturday.
Canada is whatever you want it to be. It can be very frustrating if you choose to dwell on the negativity, it can also be very rewarding if you choose to plan and know what you want.
What you should ask yourself is- if Canada is the hell they want you to believe, why them never enter the next available flight back home? Thanks for this….. man 🤝 |

Bostin: You will need to do more research online before you move when you have your visa , Take your time to learn and find contacts or employers before you move . You can even start applying to jobs from here and let the employer aware that you already have visa to attend interview . I hope you will find luck and I wish you success . Thanks bro I really appreciate |

Bostin: Problem many of you have is that you don't have proper plans of direction , you just want to follow the crowd . I am not in Canada yet but I bet you I have something waiting for me even though I have no family there . It is wise to always make contacts forehand whenever you're going to a strange land for the first time . My passport have already been submitted for stamping, please what are the things I need to know Sincerely speaking I don’t have anyone in there to help me with first hand info I will be glad to get some information from ya if possible or you can help connect me to anyone in there so I can ask my questions Just wish someone will direct me on which province to visit at least for a start up, love Ontario but Based on what I got from internet it’s quite expensive for newbie and secondly where I can get company that will be able to change my visa to working visa |

oluayebenz: What do you want to know?
Once you have multiple plans, I believe you will overcome all challenges as a first timer.
Will only advice you to come with a very strong winter jacket, winter is just some months away, and the jacket is not cheap.... Copied |

XavierZ: Yo! Get yourself to the altar of fire 🔥, no jokes.
Mum applied in October 2021, two months before I even left Nigeria as a student to Canada, I left Jan 1st 2022 but for her tourist visa, no response for almost 2 years despite reminders.
She started praying with her passport every morning, 7am NSPPD. I reapplied for her by May this year and she continued sending reminders, letting them know that the daughter she's been hoping to visit has even finished school after such a long time.
She finally got a response saying they'll get to her but no specific timeline is set.She sent a message the following week and someone from IRCC MISTAKENLY sent her an email about her case , from the content, we could tell it wasn't meant for her. The person was obviously bringing another colleagues attention to the application.
Finally, her application was on their radar.
Long story short, she got PPR a day before her birthday. She submitted last week Wednesday at VFS. She picked up her stamped passport today from VFS. Her visitor visa expires in 2030 (multiple entry/six months)
What God cannot do does not exist , no jokes... Congratulations to her |

Mis3man: U don't need any documents just have ur return ticket and reserved place to stay and cash in hand or bank that will cover for ur intended time of staying in Canada and most importantly know what was filled in your application form and possibly documents what was used to apply with ur application if an agent did it for you. Most of these our agents can put things that will tie you in the future if u don't know Nice one bro Thanks 🙏🏻 |

oluayebenz: Yes they can check but in rare case.
Your friend should just hold money and confirmed accomodation Yeah talking about this accommodation because this is one of the thing he’s pointing finger at He doesn’t have relatives there and can’t afford hotel for that one month Can rented apartment (one room selfcon) work as prove of accommodation too if yes, how can he go about it ? |

marveltrades01: I contacted the VFS customer service via chat today regarding the progress of my passport. Apparently seems my case was forgotten and all of a sudden I received all the mails at once this evening: from abuja to ircc, ircc to abuja etc till Lagos. Passport is now ready for collection 😂😂😂 congratulations |
Travel › Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Munachimso30(m): 5:53pm On Aug 10, 2023 |
oluayebenz: Return ticket Confirmed hotel booking or invitation letter. Some cash and debit card with enough fund. That's all and be ready to answer some questions according to what you filled in your application form. Are they gonna check the debit card to know if there’s enough funds in it ? Someone told me that at least 2500CAD is okay for someone that intend to stay for a month, how true is this? |
Travel › Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Munachimso30(m): 5:48pm On Aug 10, 2023 |
MrALIVE: can one go there without appointment?? Are you the one going for it since you started? Because you don’t need appointment for collection The only documents need for collection is the photocopy of your passport data page and the tracking number But seek advice from the agent, let him or she know you wanna go for it by yaself to know what’s he or she’ll say Maybe it’s not necessary |
