Omoawoke: Easy to say.
It is not always easy for first timers especially the first few months of trying to adjust. It is not about laziness at all. Do you know what it is leaving a place where you have your family, friends and you are used to the way of life and weather. Then relocating to a new place without family, finding new friends, trying to adjust to weather and food and new culture. That alone is enough to weaken you. Not to talk of the rigorous school work and all. But op need to persevere and be consistent, he has more opportunities in Canada to breakthrough. Before you insult the OP, there are people that quietly went back to Nigeria due to circumstances like this. The psychological challenge of adjusting alone made some people give up. You as a lady, if you relocate single , I can bet you will be crying everyday on your bed. All those attention you use to get in Nigeria, with people toasting you everyday or taking you out. You will not even see one soul talk to you for months. You are all alone to yourself You hit the nail on the head abeg 😁 |

This is not true. You can always reapply immediately for canada visas. Most things got online might not be true so you need to ask someone with experience but got what I said online

I think my case is different here guys listen up please Applied for this VV in 2021 when I came back from UAE hoping that it will come out after 6months or thereabout but unfortunately it didn’t, I waited and waited but didn’t see any sign of visa approval so I moved on with my normal hustle I was surprised when I got message from my agent that it have been approved thou he didn’t send me the message early, the 30days window is remaining 3days when he sent me the massage and the letter stated that they can’t give you visa more ya passport validation and guys i have only but 8-9months left in my passport and at this point of time I can’t go for the renewal because of the deadline, so I was left with no choice than to submit my passport Hold and behold guys I got only but 1yr visa and that 1yr is remaining exactly that 8months on my passport Guys this is the problem now, I don’t intend coming back after traveling by God’s grace, will this disturb me from getting LMIA job, will they reject me because of the short period in my passport? Can I renew it before coming or do I stand any chance to renew it in there while the process of LMIA is going on Please your sincere advise What are the chances in this my case guys ? |

cadno: Bros thanks for the update, buy here is another point you miss. I am currently on Visitor's Visa in Canada, I inquired to apply to Truck driving schools , they both told me that I must have my "G" License first before I can apply to Truck driving school, even with their $13k CAD school fees ooo.
I told them I have over 10years experience in Driving, and just want to enter the Truck driving industry. They no reply me.
Now to get a "G" License, you need to get a G2 first ,( exempt or do exam to get G1 , that one na for entry level. ) then drive in Canada for 1year to get your "G" , before you enter Trucks. Also na Indians full this truck driving work ooo ...on the road I de watch every truck that passes me to see who be the driver.. Honestly, na 99% Indians de drive them .
So saying just come to Canada on Visitors Visa and enter truck driving na Lie.!!!!! I am here now August 13, 2023.
I have gained valuable information on this forum so I am helping someone with current information at my disposal..thanks Nawaoo the sh*t is getting real these days What’s your plan nah, any other option for ya ? Thanks for this update bro Blessings |

Kennyg290: It depends on the type of labour market you belong to also how you are financially buoyant to survive in Canada but try Alberta. The truth is that this visa came out by a sudden, I didn’t know they will later approve this visa, could you believe I applied for this visa in 2021 that’s when I went for biometrics It came out by sudden so no much cash on me I know that it’s damn cost in Toronto but I think it will be little bit cheaper in Alberta Talking about labour market, any means of survival at the main time The only work I know is hydro blasting then little business we manage for survival here in Naija( you know how the hustle is nah) |

Whilst his visitor's visa application was still in progress, he applied for a study permit because he said the vv was taking too much time and study permit might come out faster. However, his vv came out first and he decided to travel to Canada. Just last Friday, he got a passport request for his study permit, yet he is already in Canada. What should he do? Does he need to travel back home to submit his passport? If he’s already in let him continue the process right there than coming back to submit it I don’t know much thou but he should seek advice from people around I mean experienced guys |

Nbv1: When you come online to tell people the real truth, most won’t believe and they see it as discouragement which is why those who really live in canada don’t advice people that much, read above someone already telling me why I haven’t come home. I am blessed already before coming here but the reality is naira is different from dollars. I have business making 8million plus yearly in Nigeria also real estate. The truth is since I came here, it’s difficult to save same 8million plus per year due to huge bills in canada and that’s the truth. Also I have to work very hard over 40 hours a week . I don’t work for no one in nigeria , here is different. What if I was desperate like others and sold all my houses and shut down my business just to move here and then face reality.
If you are doing okay back home and making millions and think you can double more on the long run , then canada is not for you. If you know you have nothing much going for you in nigeria and you are just starting life then you can come and see things first, if you can cope then you stay in canada and start afresh. Agent will leave you stranded, don’t rely on them. Most of them operate using word of mouth. Do not sell anything to come here, I repeat, do not sell any valuable things to come here.
If you can setup a business here in canada it’s good because most people who make it real good here don’t work for anyone , they do their own business or run services.
For those coming here with a visit visa, it’s going to be real tough for you and that’s the truth unless you come in with huge money to either convert to LMIa or study visa which is very expensive. LMIa can cost you between 18k cad to 27k cad . So you need to plan very well before coming here and make sure you have accommodation plans. Winter is coming and it will be very cold, you won’t be able to go outside frequently during winter.
My bills a month is over 1800 dollars despite how I manage my funds. Rent alone take up huge bills here, when you deduct bills from monthly pay after tax, how much is left. That’s why it’s difficult to save money here. Before you make that move you must have a plan and most importantly funds. Can I dm you please ? |
