Highly regrettable and bad.

But do you have evidence that all Igbos met, including generations unborn, and agreed for things to go that way?
its Igbo elites consensus cos they where threatened by the North upward swing . During the colonial period Igbo where the human resources to run the civil service .is not uncommon too see a Igbo Man as district officer in the North or cashier of agriculture agency in the North but the Northern premier started building the Manpower by training Northerners world wide .this was the first fear of the Igbo .their advantage will be over so they where calling for Independence .while the North refused cos the white man should not go until there enough man power from the North .after failing in 53 the igbo man still when to destroy region unify Nigeria into a single state so he will be on top .even killing northern leaders that was not interested in this type of arrangement and want to be in northern region
After failing to dominate Nigeria as he wish when to carve out biafra where he. Can lord over ijaws and isheriki and other
After failing he now tried to dominate the commercial aspect of Nigeria via trading . After failing he now.invented IPOB and ESN to get a smaller biafra after failing now it Peter obi or death . We are waiting . In the 53 only Igbo where brick layer and car mechanic and plumbers .if you want to build a house you have to go to sabon gari and hire a igbo that time has past the North is not interested in dominating the east of biafra land .na una dey find trouble up and down North and west

Penguin2:
It is often said that lies told over and over again without being counted tends to come to be held as true; but as always, truth always catches up with it.

For over 50 years, some section of Nigerians have made it a point of duty to reinforce the narrative that the 1966 coup was an Igbo coup because it was led by Kaduna Nzeogwu, an Igbo man.

Even though these same people claim that Nzeogwu’s village and town is not Igboland, and that the rest of Nzeogwu’s kinsmen are not Igbos; a narrative they vigorously and fiercely pursue and has reinforced for decades.

But with their monopoly on the media now beginning to wane due to the advent of Social Media, their control of narrative of events, which they have often distorted to suit their primordial biases, is fading , and a more balanced narrative that captures the wholistic happenings of what transpired is now being told.

So, in regards to the 1966 coup which these elements have hitherto painted as an Igbo coup, continually giving only the names of the 7 Igbo officers who participated in the ill fated coup while leaving out other officers from other tribes who equally participated actively in the coup.

So, fined here the full list of the coup plotters and their tribes:-

1. Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu(Igbo)
2. Major Adewale Ademoyega (Yoruba) author of "Why we struck"
3. Capt. G. Adeleke(Yoruba)
4. Maj. Ifeajuna(Igbo)
5. Lt. Fola Oyewole(Yoruba) author of "The reluctant rebel"
6. Lt. R. Egbiko(Esan)
7. Lt. Tijani Katsina(Hausa/Fulani)
8. Lt. O. Olafemiyan(Yoruba)
9. Capt. Gibson Jalo(Bali)
10. Capt. Swanton(Middle Belt)
11. Lt. Hope Harris Eghagha (Urhobo)
12. Lt. Dag Warribor(Ijaw)
13. 2nd Lt. Saleh Dambo(Hausa)
14. 2nd Lt. John Atom Kpera (Tiv).

There you have it. But I’m sure that apart from Nzeogwu and Ifeajuna, you probably never heard of the names of the other guys and the question is why? And it is because some elements deliberately chose to tell a one sided story to further their ill agenda against a particular tribe and people; and after over 50 years the war ended, this same people are still hellbent on selling this same old and erroneous and fallacious narrative for the same primordial agenda.

So, I ask you, having seen the full list of the coup plotters, do you still think it was an Igbo coup?

And if your answer to the above question is “Yes”.

Then tell us why Murtala Muhammed and Buhari coups were not Fulani coups,

Tell us why Buka Suka Dimka coup was not a Plateau coup,

Tell us IBB coup was not an Hausa coup,

Tell us why Gideon Orkar’s coup was not a Tiv coup,

Tell us why Abacha coup was not a Kanuri coup,

And only the one led by Nzeogwu was given that ethnic label and reinforced till today?

Penguin is a bird of reason!
in planing it was to eliminate all regional leaders that the coupist alleged hinder the progress of Nigeria .But in executions only Northern leaders and few Western leaders where killed .sparing all Igbo leaders and institution !how do you define that !.

What about the millions of Hausa in LAGOS, a people that have held rulership of Nigeria for Decades,

If not for LAGOS that is southwest millions of yorubas will be outside their region

Omo you guys don't know the number of yorubas in other regions sha

They go open una book someday
LAGOS is the only factor in Igbo migration different from Yorubas.

There are as much Yoruba as igbos in other regions of the country, if you don't know know today
can you name one hausa president of Nigeria .hausa have the large investment Dangote refinery comet shipping bua group Mrs oil plc rahamiyya Depot and supply food stuff to mile 12 markets .Lagos consume 1 billion naira of cow meat daily then add vegatables this is the contribution of Hausa and Northerners in Lagos .they don't go about bragging how dey develop Lagos and respect their host .but una come empty handed and start selling fake part and drug all over Lagos then start claiming development .ibo come in with zero capital while hausa come in with trucks of cows and vegatables to sell and go back . Name one important commodities Igbo bring into Lagos to sell that it ingenious to the east used in Lagos

Oga,what is truth is truth,Igbo land is far developed than most other regions in Nigeria, considering their near destruction and fg neglect, abeg they dey try,

You people don't even understand criminal networks, many countries or people have gained from it,the Europeans especially US (by tribe) and the english used criminal networks selling opium in China to get rich.

It's not a new thing
how can a place be so develop and it citizens will be migrating endless to other place . Do you know what is called development . Not all those ventilation less property Igbo keep building and cramping into. Do you develop Americans running away from there develop America .

I am not Igbo but from kogi

I have noticed many Nigerians do not really know the Igbo aside from the few they see in their localities or those that sometimes travel to the east.

Those in Lagos also do not know them as their major base in Lagos is in the amuwo-odofin, Ojo areas.Which many lagosians I have come to realise do not visit as it is in the outskirts of Lagos.

I came to this area in the early 2000s,back then it was a scanty backwater area, only fg built Festac and satellite were in the area

The area was a bush.

Forward 22years later. The whole area is filled with mansions and businesses dominated almost entirely by igbos.

The area as expanded beyond recognition and it's one of the most developed area of Lagos despite government neglect.

The area is probably another lekki in disguise.

I realise many lagosians aren't familiar with this area also.

I tell you I have seen what gradual progress and development is like with the igbos in this area.

I have lived with them, they aren't perfect and have their issues just like any other tribe.

But i have really seen what the igbos are capable of.

It's unfortunate their region as fallen into chaos now. However that is not a valid reason to dismiss them as the north is in more choas yet people are considering a Fulani to Fulani transition.

Visit amuwo-odofin and Ojo you will realise what the igbos can do if you know what the area was like in the 90s.

Note: the area as long been neglected by successive Lagos governments until recently under sanwoolu.

I have not seen any other community that as achieved this much in Lagos under two decades virtually on their own.

This performance ability is what NIG highly needs now,not a mele mele(lackadaisical) presidency.

We need performance, I think the igbos can do it.Nigerians really need to consider this.

I hàve observed many people love to disparage the igbos, like I saw a thread of ABA being a slum.

Many people do not know the true wealth of the igbos considering their near destruction during the civil war,it's a top notch performance

I can tell you if you want to name any slum dwellers in NIG, count the Igbo out.

The igbos are proud and stubborn, but it's high time we had a president with pride, gutso and backbone to raise Nigeria level in the comity of nations.

Nigeria don big pass all these slave mentality Presidents
the desperation and wealth worshipping is why everyday day in India IBo are in the New trying to develop India by force after doing same in Thailand and South Africa mass import of nonsense into Nigeria by this group is responsible for the de industrialization of Nigeria in those areas almost all the olosho are from the east and almost all the girls in hotel selling sex are mainly from the east in those areas. If you want to support Obi please do and not bring this type of story . they failed to develop Abia Kano state and Kaduna political leaders have built more infastruture more than any IBo political leaders.

Though Suegbe is an old school slang,I think it best describes the condition of southern Nigerians.

The maritime school in Katsina, transportation school, naval base in Kano,NPA controlled by north, nimasa controlled by north.

See if these southerners cannot handle their affairs,if they feel too big and educated to own their own backyard, since they prefer to japa, abeg give middlebelt space to collect, not every time Fulani's alone, pls southerners hand over or lease your opportunities to the middlebeltans, let us enjoy too,no be only Fulani like freebies.

All southern opportunities and resources are being fritted away to the north.

How can a naval base and a maritime school be in Kano and Katsina, yet all military installations and institutions are also in Kaduna.

Middlebelt are sleeping ooo, southern Nigeria Na cash cow,the people are Suegbe joor.

They are even the most rooting for a Fulani to Fulani transition.

One of the lies that Labour Party and Peter Obi opponents use to comfort themselves is that “Southeast and Southsouth are traditional PDP zones and will vote PDP no matter what”.

We have tried so many times to educate some of these people to understand that Labour Party has flipped the two regions but they always prefer to argue blindly.

Another watery line they use to comfort themselves is that Atiku will win Delta because of Okowa. But we have tried to paint a picture of the situation on ground in Delta but they would rather comfort themselves with a lie than accept the bitter truth.

Well, bring you happenings from Delta…
