Hi Everyone, been a silent reader for a while and was rejected last week.
Please can @frankrobbn1 and other gurus advice me what to do

I got an admission to study Masters of Business Administration in Canada, I paid $7000 tuition deposit.

Rejection letter dropped with these generic reasons:

Travel history
Family ties
Lack of funds.



I have a Bsc in Accounting, I am currently employed under my dads company, I have a great travel history, been to so many places, Parts of the US and Europe so i don't understand the travel history reason.
My Sponsor is my father

Documents submitted:
Dads CAC document, which also shows i'm among the board of directors( I used this as part of my ties to my country in my letter)
Bank statement with balance of 50m and Bank reference letter
Sponsorship Affidavit letter
Sponsorship letter( although this didn't state how much he will be given me for my school, it just states he will be sponsoring me)

Acceptance letter
Letter of Recommendation from my dads company
Waec
My birth Certificate
Police clearance
My letter of intent
Imm forms

I know its advisable to apply for the gcms note but we have decided not to and reapply and while doing that i will get an official admission from another country to have that as back up. My school is to resume in may, please I would like all the gurus here to advise me on whatever document I am to add to strengthen my application. Apologies if this post is long, i'm just here to learn. Thank you all

LACK OF FUNDS

Since you said you are employed in your Dad's company, it means you receive a salary. You will need to show that through your personal SOA. Attach your payslip if you have.

Also, It wouldn't be out of place for your Dad to state how much he is committing to your education (in the sponsorship affidavit letter) and also to have him transfer part of the money to your personal account. BTW, is the statement of account you submitted your Dad's personal account or Company's account?

Did you attach the receipt from the school after you paid Tuition? If you didn't, you will need to do that?

TRAVEL HISTORY

It's interesting that after being to US and Europe, they are coming up with 'travel history' as an excuse. You will need to do an LOE, emphasizing that you have a good travel history. Have you been denied Visa before? If yes, did you state it in your application?

FAMILY TIES:
You probably didn't emphasize this very well. Beyond being one of the BOD in your father's company, you have to explain to the VO how indispensable you are to your Dad's business. In the letter of Recommendation from your Dad's company, did they emphasize that you will be coming back to help the business grow? If not, you may want to have them add it to the letter. Finally, do you have any property in your name?

To all those saying this is not hacking, not all hacks are technical. This is a form of hacking and it is called social engineering. You don't need much tech skill for this

Tell them biko. Social Engineering is one of the most popular form of hacking. Most people here use their Year of birth as their credit/debit card PIN. If a stranger can trick you into telling him/her your Year of birth and then you fall for it. You have been hacked. That's also Social Engineering.

I just had an interesting conversation with a Whatsapp hacker this evening.

The guy called and asked me if I was in the “Support Tinubu” Whatsapp group. I said no, he mentioned two other group names and I finally claimed to be in one.

He asked what network I was using and I said MTN, he told me he’s the group admin and that’s he’s giving everyone in the group 3,000 airtime. However, he will need to authenticate that I am an actual member of the group.

While still on the call, my phone beeped! Oga has requested for change of Whatsapp number and they had sent me the verification code to authenticate that. Oga asked me to call out the code, I called a wrong one, it didn’t work, he did the request again and Whatsapp sent another code, he asked of it and I called the wrong one again.

Oga was now getting frustrated. That I will lose the 3,000 airtime if I don’t get the number right the next time. Oga requested again and they sent yet another code. As usual I called out a wrong number. You need to see me arguing that the code was actually what Whatsapp sent. Oga started cursing me. I didn’t hesitate to curse him back. �

I feel fulfilled that Oga wasted at least N50 on me this evening �.

If I fall for this kind of hack then I should be ashamed of myself. FUTO will have to refund me the school fees I paid for five years. This is the most basic form of social engineering and only those who are naive, ignorant and greedy should fall for it.

Anything that has to do with verification codes, OTP, PINS and passwords are for your USE only. Under no circumstances should you give it out, not even in the face of a potential 10 million naira winning �. You will lose your account.

Stay woke and enable 2factor authentication on all your accounts.

RT. HON. EMEKA IHEDIOHA CONDEMNS THE KILLING AT APC RALLY IN OGUTA

The Ihedioha Campaign Organisation condemns in the strongest terms, violence that trailed the APC Senatorial Rally of Rochas Okorocha at Ejemekwuru in Oguta local government which led to the gruesome killing of two indigenes of Agwa in Oguta Local Government Area. The killing of two young Imo sons is totally unacceptable and a worrisome development.

Reports have it that soldiers attached to the out-going governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Governor Rochas Okorocha opened fire on unarmed citizens leading to avoidable loss of lives. The callous killings according to report, was carried out by soldiers accompanying the governor, who were alleged to be acting on his instruction.


This killing of unarmed youths in Oguta is another killing too many by the Rochas Okorocha administration. We recall that the Rochas Okorocha administration has been notorious for engaging youths of the Niger Delta areas of the state in acts of thuggery and violence, rather than creating meaningful employment to engage them. The people of Imo State will no longer tolerate violence from the APC.

The killing in Oguta is just a prelude to the large scale violence the APC and their associated in AA and APGA are preparing to unleash on the people of the state.

We therefore call on the security agencies, INEC and other relevant agencies to keep an eye on Imo State against the violence the APC are preparing to unleash on the good people of Imo State during the 2019 elections.

The Rochas Okorocha government and his APC rivals have been heating up the polity unnecessarily and the Imo State Command of the Nigerian Police Force do not seem to call them to order. Just recently, the house of a House of Representative candidate from Oguta LGA was demolished and in retaliation, the youths of the community burnt a Police Van and took the Policemen and the Court officer who allegedly went for the demolition hostage after they were said to be manhandled. We are surprised that the Imo Police Command swept the matter under the carpet as no arrest was made, nor were Imo people briefed on the actions taken on the matter.

Today’s killings may not be unconnected to the consistent demands by youths of Oguta and Ohaji Egbema local government areas for the Rochas Okorocha government to account for the 13% Derivation funds meant for the development of the area through the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), which they accuse the government of allegedly diverted for eight years now.

We hold Governor Rochas Okorocha squarely responsible for the killings, and we call on the security agencies to call the APC and its members in AA and APGA to order.

Finally, we call on the Imo State Commissioner of Police to arrest the killers of the two young men who were gunned down in their prime with immediate effect. The People’s Democratic Party, Imo State will resist any attempt to sweep this matter under the carpet.

2019: Ihedioha Writes PDP Delegates, Consolidates Support, Ahead of Primaries.

Former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives and leading PDP governorship aspirant, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON, has written a letter to the 3126 delegates of the party in the 305 wards that will be voting during the party’s governorship primaries scheduled to hold on Friday, September 28, 2018.

The former Deputy Speaker, in the letter he personally signed and handed to individual delegates during his last round of consultation visit with them. He congratulated them on their emergence as delegates, adding that it is an enormous responsibility and confidence bestowed on them by the party.

“Within the last five months, I have visited and interacted with Imo PDP party officers, stakeholders and members from the 305 wards, visiting 87 clans in the 27 LGAs of the state. In the process of my sojourn, I believe that I now know Imo better and our people now understand me better than in 2014. I am also more equipped and better prepared.

To actualize our collective goal, I shall deploy my huge governmental experience, multiple capacities, goodwill, consequential network of contacts, grassroots support and acceptability, as well as impressive track record of achievement, for the benefit of us all.

So far, Rt. Hon. Ihedioha has interacted with the delegates in Okigwe Zone during his visit to both federal constituencies. He also paid similar visit to Ideato Federal Constituency where he interacted with the delegates in Osina. He is expected to conclude this round of parley to the remaining federal constituency this week.

He was accompanied by the Director General of his campaign organization, Dr. Vin Udokwu, Chief Analyn Nwaneri, Rt. Hon. Chuma Nnaji, Chief Stanford Onyirimba, LadyNgozi Oguike, Arch. Chidi Okoli, Chief Damian Ezeagu and a host of other notable leaders across the state.
