Bukola Saraki Was Actually IMPEACHED! Unban Me- Naijaedutech https://www.nairaland.com/2617116/bukola-saraki-actually-impeached-unban |
So I am making use of my friends Account to post this as my nairaland account (naijaedutech) was banned for allegedly posting 'wrong' information. I made a post on this forum about an hour ago that Bukola Saraki has been 'IMPEACHED' and I was banned. So I want to ask the moderator that banned me to point out what is false about the information I posted. According to the Oxford Dictionary the word Impeach means "To charge (the holder of a public office) with misconduct." The Marriam Webster dictionary defines it as : to charge (a public official) with a crime done while in office OR to cause doubts about the truthfulness of (a witness, testimony, etc.) Is it my FAULT that some Nigerians do not know what that word means? This is how Farooq Kperogi explained it in his Daily trusr article http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/sunday/index.php/politics-of-grammar/20217-common-election-related-grammatical-errors-nigerian-journalists-and-politicians-make Impeach. Nigerians understand the word “impeach” to mean “remove from office.” But that is not what it means. To impeach a government official is to formally charge them with a wrongdoing. After impeachment, they will be tried and either acquitted (if they are not found guilty) or removed from office (if they are found guilty). So what wrong did I do to merit a ban? lalastica , afam4eva , seun, OAM4J -----Naijaedutech |

Happy Sunday guys! I just read Garba Shehu's piece titled "Understanding Buhari in 100 days" where he 'struggled' to defend Buhari's first 100 days in office and I feel compelled to drop my reservations here. I understand that one of the most difficult jobs in this country is that of SSA to the President on Media and publicity. It wasn't easy for Ruben Abati and Doyin Okupe as they were constantly under the heat of raging Nigerians especially on the Social media. I believe the duo of Femi Adeshina and Garba Shehu are already felling the heat. Yesterday night Garba Shehu trended on twitter It is not easy to defend a president who hasn't really done anything 'tangible'. This is a fact that even Garba shehu acknowledged in his piece when he said "....He didn’t put a Kobo to finance the power sector. Yet, reading his body language alone and knowing that there are things you cannot do and get away with under Buhari, electricity supply all over the country has risen to unprecedented heights." The goodwill with which he assumed office was massive. the expectation was much and he rode on the failure of GEJ's administration especially in the area of corruption, economy and security. During the presidential campaign I was in an APC rally where Amaechi criticized GEJ for allowing the Naira to Dollar exchange rate get to N220/$1. It was in that same rally that Buhari promised to eliminate Boko Haram in 'two weeks'. Three months after, we are yet to defeat Boko Haram and the dollar/naira exchange rate reached an all time high of N240/$1. Bottom line My assessment of GEJ's 100 days in office = 60% Did I regret voting and campaigning for him= No Do I still have confidence in PMB= Absolutely Do I think he will be Nigeria's best President= Yes Do I think he will balance out the current lopsided appointments = Yes God bless President Muhammadu Buhari God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Hello guys! I have decided to open this thread to help all those looking for internship/SIWES opportunities. Almost all universities make it mandatory for her students to embark on internships for at least 3 months before graduation. Unfortunately, it has not been easy for most students to get a good place relevant to their course of study. However, as someone who has passed through the challenges of hunting for an internship position and has learnt a lot in the process, I will be sharing loads of useful information and tips here. I will also be updating this thread at least once every day with internship openings all over the country. I promise to make this thread very RICH in information. So if you have a friend/relative who is about to embark on an internship tell him/she to rush down to this thread immediately. ![]() If you also have information concerning all Internship opening kindly drop it here. Scammers are EXTREMELY forbidden from this thread. PS: For those wondering what SIWES means; It is Student's Industrial work experience Scheme" |
I work for a Digital marketing agency in Nigeria - Mundus Digital and part of what i do daily is to research on the digital marketing space in Nigeria and how the social media has helped brands engage with their customers and build new business frontiers. I have also been studying the big players in the social media and blogging industry trying to understand their business model and the demographics of their visitors. In the light of the above, I will be sharing my discoveries. Today, I will be teaching you how to place adverts on Linda Ikeji’s blog. Linda Ikeji is currently the richest blogger in Nigeria with a net worth of over two billion naira [yes, N2b]. And FYI, she is making more money than President Goodluck Jonathan is making “legitimately”. I will try to explain how I came up with this figure in my subsequent posts. So Linda Ikeji’s blog is ranked the most visited blog in Nigeria and the 14th most visited website in Nigeria according to alexa.com. See the top 15 below. Google.com Google.com.ng Facebook.com Yahoo.com Youtube.com .com Twitter.com Ask.com Nairaland.com Linkedin.com Konga.com Wikipedia.org Lindaikeji..com Naij.com I recently sent her a mail early this week to request for her advert rates and she sent me a reply a few hours later with the following rates. Leaderboard (Header) - N950, 000 monthly Sidebar ads (Top) - N600, 000 monthly Sidebar ads (All sitewide) - N500, 000 monthly Sponsored posts - N50, 000 per post Page branding (background takeover) = N2,000,000 monthly You can contact her for payment details by sending a mail lindaikejiads@gmail.com or calling her phone on phone {08163941957} Advertising on her blog for a month means that about 12 million persons will see your advert. Don’t you think that will make for a good ROI? However, based on my experience, the best way to advertise on Linda's blog without a big budget is by either planting a story or by culture advertising. Culture advertising is what Lolavita hair makers do when Linda says "All my hair comes from lolavita hair", not only is she giving their brand visibility but also authenticating the quality of their products. I see a lot of brands put up sponsored stories on Linda Ikeji and I wonder if they will actually get any ROI from those posts, the major problem they have is that they haven't studied Linda's audience to know the type of content they are interested in. So if you have plans of putting up a sponsored post on Linda Ikeji’s blog, hit me up so we break down the piece of news/product to sound like Linda typically does then we get a good image and a great title to go with it. Send me a mail at martin@mundus(dot)ng See other ways we can help you grow your business by visiting our website www.mundus.ng |

Students, especially the female ones of Federal University of Technology, Owerri are currently protesting the alleged rape or attempted rape (conflicting stories) of a student of the school by C-in-C Man O War FUTO. According to a student who reached out to LIB, she said the victim had gone out to urinate at night when a member of the Man O War approached her to say that the C-in-C (commander in chief) was calling her. Details are sketchy but according to the source, the lady went back to her room to tell her roommates that this person wanted to see her. They advised her to go only for her to return later with tears, saying someone had raped her or attempted to rape her. This morning, students of the school matched to the senate asking the school authority to investigate. http://lindaikeji..com/2015/03/students-protest-alleged-attempted-rape.html?m=1
