Nairaland GeneralAdapting To Change As An Entrepreneur by Muyoloz(op): 11:06am On Aug 04, 2016
The growth of every entrepreneur is dependent on how much change an entrepreneur can adapt to. Growth in itself is change. Thus when you are not growing you are not changing, when you are not changing you are not growing. We miss being children but you will agree with me there is more joy that comes with age.
There is a great need to understanding of change and how it affect your thinking. Your success is embedded in it. Change doesn't change you from being an entrepreneur, it only makes you become a better Entrepreneur with proves.
Change doesn't mean you get it right always, but standing strong when you fall. Changing strategies and knowing when to do something new.
It means preparing for the future now. Planning for the work of your hands today. Being ready to bring your thoughts, your writing to become what men, the whole world depend on for living. Yes, it's that's sweet.
Do not deviate on your set path mostly when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Only "set aside" when time, circumstance requires you to and keep the precious idea for use or guide in the future.
Always walk, build and drive your establishment based on your vision.
SEE YOU AT THE TOP!!!

Nairaland GeneralManaging Business Partnership/relationship Risks by Muyoloz(op): 9:59am On Jun 28, 2016
I recently endeavor in understanding risks faced by Entrepreneurs or Medium and Small Scale businesses. During my study I saw that "businesses are built on ladder of relationships and partnerships". Furthermore, history has shown that some major organizations thrive or fall due to partnership managements.

Even nations as an organization form alliances in other to show how strong they are. From time immemorial, businesses have thrive even in cross border trade channels. For example, Trans-Sahara, The Silk, British-Indian Spice, Incense Trade Routes etc. Civilizations thrives based on business relationships they form across civilizations, tribes and trade routes.

Industrial age gave birth to big corporations and the continued need of business partnerships for them to stay relevant. The stronger/larger partnerships built can commensurate how long you stay in business or how much profit you make.

Reasons for Partnership/Relationship

Cost management
Risk Reduction
Organizational Efficiency
Business Continuity etc.
Little is known about Small and Medium Scale Business till they grow to be known which is why focus will be on well-established relationship between grown organizations. We'll look at business relationships in the following ways:

Employee Relationships - Organizations are built around employees and the success of any organization strongly lie on them.
They are the first ambassadors. Their risk is high and so high that whatever they say about the organization is almost as loud as a customer and in some cases as loud as or even louder than a customer as the case may be.

In managing your employee be careful not to think employee satisfaction is "money based only"

Customer Relationship - All organizations exist because they are meeting a 'need'. The role of a customer can never be over emphasized. If the need of this set of people are met/exceeded an organization is sure to remain the king of the market.
Third Party Relationships - These can be your suppliers, service providers etc. Mostly for an organization that deals in goods they pose major risk in ensuring continued production. Also, Reputational Risks are associated with them.
Investors Partnerships Risks - This appears to have killed more businesses than can be counted. Investors have been known to pull out of a business venture for many reasons, and like in Third Party relationships the Reputation of a company is at risk when Investor partnership and left unmanaged.
Business Partners provide the ability for:

– Business process efficiencies

– Competitive advantages

– Cost savings

– High quality services

Finding a Compatible Partner

Do we have the same motivation, values and similar work habits?
Do we have a similar vision, ideas and objectives about how to run the business?
Is each of our strong points and skills complementary to one another?
Are we both able to communicate well with one another in a pleasant, respectful and Comfortable manner?
In your gut, do you trust this individual?

Potential Risks

Loss of autonomy: The challenge of shared decision-making processes; the need for building consensus with partners before action can be taken and the implications of wider accountability (to other partners and to wider beneficiaries)
Conflicts of interest: Where a decision or action that is right for the interests of the partnership but may be at odds with the individual organization’s interests
Drain on resources: Commitment (often significantly greater than anticipated) of time and energy of key staff in partnership building and project development in addition to any additional financial or other resource contributions
Implementation challenges: The day-to-day demands of delivering a partnership programme as a collaborative venture, with all the additional management, tracking, reporting and evaluation requirements that entails.
Negative reputation impact: When partnerships go wrong causing damage to the reputation or track record of individual partners by association.

Also, I will encourage you to do Due Diligence on your prospective partner. It can shed more light on opportunities and any other risk associated to your partner.

My Advice

Never underestimate the weakest link.
Conduct Due Diligence on Prospective Partner(s)
All Relationship should be document based. Ensure proper documentation
Establish relationship base on Mutual Benefits
CelebritiesAMCON Shuts Senator Bruce’s Companies Over Debt - PUNCH by Muyoloz(op): 11:59am On Jun 23, 2016
The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria on Thursday morning sealed the Abuja premises of Silverbird Galleria belonging to Senator Ben Murray Bruce.

The galleria currently houses the Abuja studio of the Radio and Television stations of the senator as well as his other business interests.

Apart from Bruce’s companies, the seven storey building also houses other business interest of private individuals such as Shoprite, among others.

The building was sealed by AMCON through the assistance of law enforcement agencies around 8am following a court order secured by AMCON.

Conspicuously written on the fence of the building as well as other strategic locations was an enforcement notice by AMCON which says, “Possession taken by court order 26/06/16.”

Nairaland GeneralNairalander Predict Mass Shooting To Fareed Zakaria And Christine Amanpour? by Muyoloz(op): 12:46am On Jun 13, 2016
Condolences to those who have lost family and friends to mass shootings

2 December 2015 was when San Bernardino attacked occurred and I engaged Fareed Zakaria and C. Amanpour and CNN viewers on twitter about US gun laws out of love for human life.

US citizens then claim they don't have issues with gun control rather police response time. It saddened my heart that history is repeating itself. And more painful if just as I thought back then that it will get worse not get better except the right thing is done buy having zero tolerance to guns for civilians.

When this problems are getting worse some US colleges are even allowing short guns for protection rather than the nation making it difficult to acquire weapons.

Note: Omar passed background check to aquire weapon according to CNN and FBI.

My take: More of these will occur till gun is outlawed.

Just painful that profit and politics won't allow right decisions to be made and it will grow worse within a short time, when our children will need guns like water bottles.

I say these out of value for life!!!

There is a heavy traffic both in Ikorodu Road and 3rd Midland in Lagos today. While I was still board I saw this truck hanging a Keg as Fuel Tank.

It was funny to my colleagues in the bus but this high risk.

It's funny, its stupid thing to do. More funny is that the driver of the truck joined us in laughing.

CelebritiesSee What This Upcoming Blogger Did In Her New Post by Muyoloz(op): 9:23am On Apr 14, 2016
It's not new for celebrities to have a lot said about their love life mostly on social media. This either affect the positively or not, no wonder some upcoming celebrities, public figure try to keep to their privacy as much as possible. Just to make sure they are well protected.

She's is a known to very few, but can't help notice her post yesterday where she boldly mention her friends and contributors but leave out her "Fiancées" name. I hope he's not a jealous lover like some guys.

"To my fiancé. Yes, you for giving me..."

I wish her the best on her journey to the top as I embark on possibly unveiling who the secret lover is, just for one purpose; just to know how he feels about his identity being kept hidden.
