I have been trying to apply for scholarships so i can do my Msc outside the country but I just realized my class of degree isn't really working in my favor. Well I made a good 2.2(3.32) in my first degree largely due to many reasons ranging from lack of motivation(i didn't study the course of my dream), some financial setbacks and the attitude of our lecturers towards the students. I opted for a Pgd sometime last year because I needed to switch to another discipline. By God's grace I have finished and I did very well; I made 12As and 2Bs of out the 14 courses I offered during the course of the program.

Recently, I started searching for scholarships so I can travel overseas for my masters degree but all the scholarships I am seeing place a 2.1 as a minimum Scholarship requirement for eligibility in obtaining such scholarships. for instance the common wealth scholarship, NLNG scholarship etc. I am wondering why this is so because i feel people who didn't make up to such class of degree should be given opportunity to further their education. I mean its not like its a do or die affair for everyone to make a first class or a 2.1. A 2.2 is also a result. To begin with some persons like me didn't end up with a 2.2 because they aren't intelligent but many factors beyond their control could have been responsible for that. I am really depressed. I think they should lift the bar and give everyone equal opportunity. We all can make a change despite our class of degree. Afterall the most motivated and talented people are not always the ones with first class and 2.1.

I believe I have what it takes intellectually to succeed in my chosen field of study if i am given the opportunity.

...most scholarships look at you application holistically not just academics only....work experience, research experience , volunteering work, international exams like ielts, GRE, TOEFL ...etc...you can upgrade yourself in all these an improve your chances

...dembele chances were there because Liverpool was desperately looking for an away goal at the dieing minute ....that's normal in football when all players go upfield trying to score a goal...my point is valverde tactics was good especially removing coutinho and putting semedo at right back and moving Roberto to midfield but barca still had an element of luck....tactics did not make salah to hit bar or Mane to miss that easy chance in first half or Milner chances in second half...just luck ...that's football

..am a neutral and I saw barca play unlike-barca way of play ...be sincere if you watched the match. Liverpool dominated especially the second half and Messi always makes the difference for Barca. I think experience plus Messi were on barca side. Look at the clear cut chances Liverpool players missed...Liverpool possession was higher than barca in camp nou, when last did that happen....though is obvious Liverpool is out of the UCL
