I am not denying the fact that individuals have the right to make their own decisions as regards this issue.
However, my inquiry is how the church will scripturally justify a decision to prevent two consensual couples from getting married because of

...faith is not foolishness...u know of this but u want to test faith Abi God...and the church is an institution and they should advise on marital and personal issues not only spiritual... I don't see anything there

The way I heard it is that, in cases where the couple are likely to produce SS children as well as non -SS children, when the woman gets pregnant, the genotype of the feotus can be determined in the early weeks of pregnancy (second week I'm not sure). If it is SS, it is flushed out and if not, allowed to proceed to delivery. Apparently, there's a specialist hospital in PH which is quite successful with this practice. So my sister's husband told us. (My elder bro and wife has an SS son).
