Coborona:
Seems everyone is now developing a drug
The main question is; how effective are these drugs in the management of covid-19?
Because Covid-19 is still killing people in large numbers
No...death rate has dropped around the world. Drugs like Remsidivir which the US FDA just approved has about 30%+ success....also they use other retroviral drugs to treat it. Effectiveness can't be 100% now. Better treatment are still coming up....UK started plasma treatment that's using the blood of a recovered person to cure an infected person

No logic in what you wrote above. I have been asking a question for days now which people have deliberately avoided. Since Kano has such huge mysterious death figure, what is covid-19 infected figure of Chad & Niger Republics? My friend, a Cattle Dealer in an International Cattle Market, South West Nigeria said he is unaware of any figure?

Another question, why did they avoided South Africa a major economy and instead chose Lesotho to test run 5G? Why Nigeria, when SA is the home of MTN & Vodacom. MTN South Africa made more profit than Nigeria MTN, why Nigeria?

You are highly indebted to China and other donor countries. You are good paddy, once Nigeria play game, Africa will play game.
SA has test run 5G and its already operational in some places there

Nigerians have come again with stories mocking 'lesser Africans.' The virus attacks only animals. The inclusion of the paw paw, whether the fruit or tree, is really stupid of the 'journalist'.
you don't get the point or did you read the news. They mean kits have been compromised because it test positive for inanimate things
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by mvem(m): 8:35am On May 04, 2020
thekingofafrica:
Some thoughts, even if corona is contained by individual countries before fall, international travel looks unlikely till a vaccine is found and guaranteed it cures which looks like next year, airlines can’t afford to social distance on plane as the cost will be too high and individuals would be paying more than 50% of the normal cost, schools would then be forced to start fall online, now most international student moving to the USA are depending on GA and tuition waivers to attend, if there isn’t a physical class, GA,RA TA and university works looks unlikely, schools would be slashing their fees most definitely as they aren’t offering full services anymore, so tuition for 5k per semester might go for 3k, lol how do we cope? Most of us were banking on GA and some sort of scholarship. Who has a better understanding?
there is no way no international travel till next year. Some airlines and airport are already preparing to start operation. What will happen will be screening at the airport and full activities will resume when countries start to show zero infection rate. Australia airlines started some operation , I think same as New Zealand. For the Vaccine, don't bank on next year because that is a probability. Infact there is all possibilities that a vaccine won't even come or will come later, does it mean no one will travel again in the world. There would be measures to live with this covid, it has come to stay and it will be curtailed and mitigated with time. Many schools are also assuring students that fall will still happen or worse case scenario will be a defer or online classes for the first few months. US schools and US as a whole is very dependent on International students with the investment and money they bring in. As you can see Trump is trying to rush ways to open up the country so that the economy will be back to normal. As infection rates drop and cases goes to almost zero, nations will start resuming normal activities but with control measures. The world is going to learn to live with it because you can't bank on a vaccine. The politics and intricacies of vaccine are so much that there is no certainty for that. Moreover not all virus infection do have vaccines, sometimes vaccine trials do fail or go for years before it is achieved. So saying the world will wait for vaccine before activities starting is not just feasible because no one can tell when it will happen. The 18 months estimate is like the shortest time possibilities as best case scenario. You would ask what of those already given GA,RA, TA with full funding. And you know these are contracts which you have signed so the school has no right to rescind them

. And so we have thousands of hospitals mostly private in the south. Just my local government in Ekiti has over 15 functioning hospitals / health centres and the LG is one of the smallest.
and I stay up north....we also have hundreds of health centers and hospitals in the various LGs. What he said about Kano and 25 hospital is not true. Kano has 44 LGs and each all have health centers and hospitals.... I don't like the way people want to use everything possible to start tribal or ethic/religious issues....if he is talking about worship centres it is numerous in all part of the country. If it is about health centres we have them in almost same quantity in different regions of the country...so I don't know why they should start playing the religious or tribal card

I don't blame dem. The North has become the defacto epicentre of COVID-19. Abuja especially should really watch it because as FCT and owing to its location and proximity to the likes of Kano and Kaduna, COVID-19 will always be close by.
so what happens when Inter state travelling restriction is lifted... No be one country we dey abi Kano dey another country...do you know how many were even travelling during the lockdown not even to talk about when everywhere opens up...many are doing business or schooling everywhere in the country

Same thousands of mosques, isn't it same thousands of churches we have...what's the difference ?...no body is hindering anyone developing...corruption and bad government is same in both north and south. which people?... Are the northerners rich, is poverty not more rife in the north... You think the leaders share money within themselves using north and south divide. The populace hate themselves because that's what the leaders want. They still dine with each other. Don't make it look as if anyone is enjoying more in this country. Be it a jos man, igbo, kanuri , yoruba etc...every one wants to live a good life and train their children... Oga, you are entitled to your opinion.

I understand better how the devil works.

The same way, phone has advantages, they manufacturers will not tell you the other side of it.

Vaccines should not be by force.

If they believe vaccine will cure the problem, fine

Let us who do not want it die if you believe so...

Because I was vaccinated as a kid, does not mean that I continue to receive vaccine from them

BTW vaccine is a general term... Not the name of the medicine... So you don't know what was mixed in it. And I have the right to decide if I want it or not.
do you know the content of the medicine or vaccine you took while growing...and if you talk of content why doubt content now when you take drugs and trust what you see on the pack... You can as well go online and see contents of drugs and vaccines

Op, be specific. Countries or "places"huh Which exactly do you mean? 'cause I really want to help you.

Well, talking about "places", try the Sentinelese of the North Sentinel Island in India. One of the least touched places on Earth despite the fact that it is not so remote when compared to other more distant parts of the Earth.

The gospel has never been preached there. And I heard the folks there are quite warm and friendly.

Another place should be Antarctica. Imagine preaching in a whole new continent.

Then, next you can try the unreached tribes deep in the recesses of the Amazon forest.

So, what's the plan, OP?
you will go and preach gospel to the polar bears and penguins in Antarctica?... Antarctica is a continent that just have only researchers from Europe and America. Indigenous people don't stay there

oga I stay in the north and I am very aware of the meningitis trial drug they used in Kano that went bad....but you yourself have taken drugs from these companies and vaccines right from birth like BCG, Polio etc...There are conspiracies over all these things but if anything sinister is to be orchestrated they would have started from the BCG or polio you took at childhood. For the Pfizer controversy, it wasn't a vaccine but a trial meningitis drug. And now we have a meningitis vaccine which saves thousands in the North during this hot period.
