NO!.. a blood test can check if the HIV virus is already in you. Coronavirus is like a flu virus, people recover from with proper care. That is after recovering you test negative with no viral load. The mortality rate is about 1-2%. The difference between the old flu virus and covid is Covid-19 is novel that is it is new. The other one is well understood and have a mortality rate of about 0.1% which is lower than covid. But people recover from covid (about 98%+). Don't compare it to HIV which is a total different virus because of the way it behaves. Covid 19 is similar to SARS and MERS for they all are coronaviruses.

don't be ignorant.Lagos is the gateway to Nigeria.More that 50% of international flights come through Lagos then followed by Abuja. So it is obvious and normal that the gateways to the country that's Lagos and Abuja should be far more prepared because it is only through these routes the virus can enter mainland Nigeria

WHO had access to China and got the figures they wanted. The death rate is even considered lower because there are many carriers who don't even show symptoms and are not detected. Putting that into consideration, the death rate is speculated to be as low as 1% or so. Italy average age of those dead is 81 years. The very old are vulnerable to it and Italy has a very old population. So you can't use that to measure the death rate because it is mostly the vulnerable(very old and sick) that are dying. The fatality rate globally is just about 3.5% while in Italy, it is higher at about 5% and majorly because of the high old population with the highest hit been those with already compromised immune systems and the vulnerable.

In Nigeria, we have a median age of about 21 years which means that yhe mortality rate won't be anything more than 1% if I compare with a South Korea. Even in China, outside Wuhan, mortality rate hovered around 1%.

We have had Lassa fever in this part of the world for a few years now and Lassa fever has a way higher double digit mortality rate of about 20%... Yet, we are want to loose sleep over Coronavirus?

What are the symptoms of Corona virus? There are absolutely no alien symptoms for corona virus...The same symptoms you have when you have flu + - malaria and with our propensity to these already and our very young population, we'll definitely ride through corona without any hassles and mortality rate won't be anything near the figures reeled out in Italy and co.

The virus is definitely in Nigeria and spreading too but ofcourse with our very inefficient healthcare plus people who already have mild symptoms will treat it just as they'll treat flu or malaria and will ride through the virus without any troubles.

Some think you get and you die when Lassa fever in our country has a higher mortality rate. The virus spreads fast but its mortality rate is about 1-2 %. Media always concentrate on the few deaths which is about 4000+ now while more than 60,000 has recovered and the majority( about 98%) do recover .
