dear landed seniors, pls I need your help with this contemplation. we are considering leaving our kids(2boys 5 and 3) behind with my mom, so we can integrate and hustle easily when we land. then come back for them once we've settled, and before their medical expires. pls what are your thoughts. it will be highly appreciated.

Is a very great idea..

Maybe your program is actually 1 year or a mistake was made. You should renew 6 months before the end of your permit.

Lastly, which university and program?

Na the duration of my program was boldly written on the admission letter.

Is 2 years thesis based Msc Computer Science at University of Guelph

The letter of scholarship also stated that scholarship wS granted for two years.

I will renew as advice

Study permit is given to you based on the years left in your passport. I think you have a year left for your passport to expire. Do not worry when you renew, you will apply for extension. Congrats

No, I have 4 years left on my passport

Check the date your passport expires.

My passport still has 4 years before expiration.

Hello, How do i apply for the graduate assistantship ?

Thanks

For most schools there is no special application. They make the decision to give you alongside the admission decision. If you have not been offered I think you can only apply after you resume school.

HELLO HOUSE,
I was declined of admission about one month ago.

A professor from another faculty mailed me to apply for a PhD,waived my application fee.
I found out that he has linked my previous application to the new one.

I can see some column changes on my application page that says I should upload the following:
A column for uploading copy of I- 20 form
A column for Bank statement
A column for financial statement for one year.

I don't have the above listed requirements

Please house I have not received admission offer yet.
Showing on my application is Submitted!.
What does these mean as I don't have copy of I 20 and bank statement.
What can I do at present.Gurus please advise.
Thanks.

From experience you will get admission after providing those documents. I guess they probably dont have funding for you thats why they need your bank statement.

HA BRO !!! WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CHEMISTRY AND BUSINESS ADMI LET ALONE ADDING YOUR 3 YEARS WORK EXPERIENCE JOIN ? THAT IS AUTOMATIC DENIAL ON ITS OWN...

....

Hey

Is okay for him to go for business Admin Masters ooo...

As long as is related to EITHER his work experience OR previous degree.

Many people have gotten their TRV with a degree that is ONLY related to their work experience.

It has nothing to do with ur rejection @chigrad

It is not just about proving funds for the second year, the vo expect whoever is sponsoring someone to have enough left for himself and his dependants. That's a FACT!

I understand you, but in her situation except if adequate proof that a land was actually sold can be submitted. The risk of flagging LODGEMENT is high.

Many pple had ask their sponsor trasfer money to them without submitting the sponsor’s bank statement and got their TRAVEL.

If She cant get adequate proof to explain that the money actually came from selling of land, I will advice they dont present the sponsors bank statement. The VO might assume LODGEMENT.

But d proof of funds has bn submitted @ vfs? Does that mean one has to print another bank statement??

You dont need to show proof of funds after getting your visa. They wont send you back for that.

Yes it is to show if the sponsor can pay for subsiquent years, also the vo will like to know if the sponsor will still have enough left for himself and his dependant after giving you the said amount.
Thank God you said it is your husband, so please let him submit his statement of account as well (don't worry).
Also let the vo know he is your husband(marriage cert will he helpful) and also if you have any children together that will stay back with him

I am not sure is a good idea. If the guy’s regular inflow doesnt reflect d kind of money put in the wife account. They might be risking LODGEMENT claim. Just my thoughts tho.

If is a one year program. No point proving 2nd year sponsorship.

Hello, good afternoon. Please has any one on this forum gotten a master's admission with a 2;1, let's say between the 3.5- 3.7 /5 range, athough my last two years is 4 .26/5. I've tried two schools and still not gotten an admission and I dont think I'm making a mistake with my Statement of Purpose, I know it's not the only criteria but it's an important aspect of the application. Please will really appreciate if anybody that has gotten an admission can tell me what schools they tried. I just want to be sure I'm not wasting my time looking for a master's admission. Thank you

What course of study.
Which type of Masters? Thesis, project or coursebase.

Irrespective of your answers to the above question, with 2:1 you can definately get admission for a COURSEBASED masters. However depending on your CGPA and Course of Study, it might be very difficult to get admission for Thesis or Project based.

Most times the problem with admission is with the choice of school. You should do a background check of how competitive the department you are applying to is before you apply.

Look for a school dt match ur profile in terms of requirements. It could also be a problem with your Sop, get a professional or senior collague in your field of study to help u review.

Thanks Boss for this information, please Sir, I received a half tuition waiver for PhD studies from my Supervisor in Canada. Now, I applied for Ptdf scholarship but it seems this years ptdf scholarship is restricted to China, Germany, France.
My dream Country is Canada and I already have a supervisor whom I have been in constant communication with for 6months now. My admission letter will be out soon by the grace of God.
Please what do you suggest I do, is it possible to use my half tuition waived Admission letter to my advantage to secure the Ptdf scholarship and still go to Canada?

The schorlaship each year is STRICTLY for the SELECTED countries. I advice you try to apply to another school in CANADA, preferably a school with full funding and also apply to the countries SELECTED for PTDF this year.

hi jnyuwa02, thanks for this opportunity.

I am asking on behalf of a friend.
He wants to know the prospects of admission at carleton for Masters in Architecture.

the applicant has 2 years experience, with a masters degree (3.49) and undergraduate degree (3.59)
The main aim is to get a phd education and eventually settle.
He intends first applying for masters, then going on to phd
He is also aware of the express visa situation, and wonders if that would be better?

what is your advise?

Eventhough PHD Visa is the easiest, the revise is the case for admission. Ur friend’s profile is not very good, I will only suggest that he tries to contact professors in schools that offer his course and their graduate assistant, they will advice him appropriately.
