My issue with this statement is why was this not the mindset during Buhari's first 4 years which was marred with insecurity and herdsmen crisis?

Nigerians criticized Buhari heavily during his first term, so I don't agree that he enjoyed some special patience. The criticism was loud, many former supporters withdrew their backing, and strong opposition emerged.

The bigger issue is that we have normalized the idea that every president deserves 8 years regardless of results. Jonathan wasn't guaranteed a second term. Buhari shouldn't have been guaranteed one. Tinubu shouldn't be guaranteed one either.

Nigeria's challenges are difficult, but citizens also have a right to say they have seen enough and want a different approach. Democracy is not about enduring failure until a second term is completed; it is about periodically deciding whether the current direction is working.

Even as an insider, Late PMB was overwhelmed.

I was in the cab today, I and the driver got talking bout politics, than he gave me an innocent example that kinda caught me off guards.
He said...his madam gave him a sumptuous meal, as she usually does, dished in a plate.
He had been full already, as he had eaten from home....but in order not to make the boss feel bad, he took the meat, and ate in front of her, and took the rest outside, and gave to the security man.
After eating the food, the security man later complained to him, that there was no meat inside..........
Instantly, I concluded that the security man was an ingrate.
Then he retorted, that that's how we Nigerians have been towards the president.
His point is contestable on semantics, but I didn't have the luxury of time...

In summary, he - and speaking for some Yorubas, believes that the problem of Nigeria is so overwhelming that you won't know until you're inside, and realize that even a president can't solve it easily, even in 4yrs.

He said he'll vote whoever he likes, but he's not expecting a Messiah that will come do miracles. Everyone should protect their own personal interest.

He's from Ilorin, talked about how he was driving with fear when he travelled for an occasion recently.
No time to persuade him but I did let him know that we can't continue to live with the problems. Other countries are solving theirs.
We should vote for a leader that is willing to try to make things better.

At the end of the day, it's not about party or sentiments.
Ww have tried President Tinubu, we've seen his hands in 4yrs.
Do you want to continue like this or we want to try another hand come 2027.
We've seen Tinubu, let's try another every 4yrs until we get leadership right.

Every group in Nigeria has a cultural identity to fall back on, but breaking a country is not the same as building one.
There are no saints anywhere—not even within the same family.

At some point, coexistence stops being idealistic talk and becomes the only practical path forward for us as a nation.

That's is why as a person subscribing to insurance policies do not put in more than what you can afford. Also, as insurance policies exploit loopholes, the insured is also advice to search for loopholes too.

Insurance of 20 years ago is not the same now. Plenty things don change for the good.

We did an outsourced comprehensive vehicle insurance outside of the normal MoT licensing requirements.
When our company bus was burnt during protest, they claimed there's a separate cover for accidental damages and Riot related damages.

Those guys are thieves.
What's comprehensive in the cover, if it doesn't cover riot damages?!
Why didn't the company disclose it to us initially, and they spent months trying to get us to buy their policy, yet they left this out in all their visits.

They don't pay out for losses, that's why they are growing every quarter.

When you file for Claim, they must find one loophole that will cause a default.

Even lawyers advice not to do extra insurance on some assets, except you have money to pursue case.

Insurance is not working in Nigeria.

Feasibility Studies Completed As Funding Arrangement Advances For Phase II Of Nigeria's National Railway Projects 🇳🇬

The Managing Director of the nigeria railway Corporation, Dr. Kayode Opeifa has said that the rail sector is growing rapidly... What we are also concerned with now, is the implementation of the roadmap.

He said this while speaking in an interview with ARISE NEWS on Wednesday, where he discussed the proposed national railway development roadmap.

“Let me say the rail sector is coming up gradually and fast. We are putting together a rail system that works for nigeria and Nigerians."

The roadmap includes:

Proposed Railway Corridors:
• Lekki Port (Lagos) – Maiduguri Railway — Approximately 1,588 km.

• Itakpe (Kogi State) – Abuja Central Area Railway — Approximately 262 km.

• Lagos – Calabar Coastal Railway — Approximately 618 km.

• Port Harcourt – Maiduguri Railway — Approximately 1,443 km.

• Benin City – Agbor – Onitsha – Nnewi – Owerri – Aba Railway, with an additional branch line from Onitsha – Enugu – Abakaliki — Approximately 500 km.

• Lagos – Shagamu – Ijebu Ode – Ore – Benin City Railway — Approximately 300 km.

• Zaria – Funtua – Gusau – Kaura Namoda – Sokoto – Illela – Birnin Kebbi Railway — Approximately 520 km.

• Proposed High-Speed Lagos – Ibadan – Osogbo – Baro – Abuja Railway — Approximately 532 km.

▪︎ Coastal Railway Corridor: Benin City – Sapele – Warri – Yenagoa – Port Harcourt – Aba – Uyo – Calabar – Akamkpa – Ikom – Obudu — Approximately 673 km.
