Marvel, sorry for calling you out earlier in my past posts. You probably knew better. Take care and all the best.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by myluck: 10:32am On Jul 25, 2018
This recruitment ended a SCAM. We had so much belief in Shakur to do the right thing going by the way he has been handling even internal affairs in the parastatal but loo and behold, he couldn't hold his head high in this. Someone who took a stern decision to cancel a promotion exercise for those crossing to management position because there was a bribe scandal and they were forced to repeat the exercise while the consultant was expelled, one would have expected him to come to this recruitment with the image and reputation he has built for himself. But no , he allowed himself to be let down. He alone knows why he did it even though some quarters have it that it is all for the Northern agenda but posterity would judge us all. Mr . Shakur, I had so much respect for you and thought you would do the right thing but you let me down. I just watched all these while silently hoping the music tone would change and you would come to the dance floor but I waited in vain. You were my ICON and I was so proud of you but you let me down. In some years , the DPR is the only government agency that has invited me for a test . I had sleepless nights, read like my whole life depended on it . I was invited for test, batch A. I was successful and invited for interview batch A. My hope was alive but alas, everything has been washed down to the drain. When people hold you in high esteem, try not to flush it down the drain .

As for the protest , it should go on. It is key and very necessary just to draw the attention of Nigerians to this gross injustice by a supposed ' reputable ' organisation. The protest is not a waste of time. It may deter the next management that would conduct recruitment hopefully in the next 3 years and it would serve as a reference point for the right thing to be done.

To all those who know they did well in this recruitment but for one reason or the other , it went the other way, brace up! You're the real HERO here. No one knows tomorrow. Keep improving yourself , never relent on your efforts to keep being the best version of you and someday, we shall meet at the top. Eagles must soar and no matter how long it takes, we must get to our destination. Peace to all!

MARVEL!!! Why are you deceiving hopefuls? Where did anyone get letters from? Please don't write things for writing sake and stop creating panic because you desperately want to put out some information just to be relevant. Everyone should just stop this date dropping. The recruitment is supposed to end this month but if for unforseen reasons it drags longer, it would not be more than second week of July. Mr.Shakur can choose any date of his choice to drop it so we should all chill. Pls no more irrelevant posts. Marvel, I always thought you were joking but this has been taken too far. Stop misleading us. Thanks and let's all conduct ourselves in a matured manner while we wait. Character is also key in this recruitment. A word is enough for the WISE!
Marvel64:
Good evening hopefuls,

Let me start by congratulating the successful ones that have picked up their APLs through their sponsors today. Please if you have received yours try to own up. More will receive theirs tomorrow and if you don’t have anyone to help get yours, I would advise you wait for the official release date.

When I said 25th June, doesn’t mean everyone will pick their APLs the same day. Successful ones will be contacted and distribution of APLs will commence from 25th June - 3rd July or beyond depending on the response and availability of the successful ones. The Operation Controllers of Zonal and field offices will get a notification of the candidates they are expecting.

I would want to thank Takon231 and Legend90 for their wonderful contributions. Please appreciate their effort even though some information they provide differ a few times. It all depends on what they have been told by their sources. When most on this thread have received APLs, I will be back. Please be patient.

Once again, Congratulation!! to the successful ones.

JULY 3RD 2018 , save the date, but it's a joke sha, don't take me seriously!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by myluck: 3:23pm On Jun 16, 2018
Marvel64:
Please kindly refer to my previous posts. I explained all of that in detail.
70% and above in the interview will get you the job, provided the other factors I mentioned in my previous posts are Satisfactory. Best of Luck!
Marvel, pls explain better. Does it mean that the average of test and interview does not matter but only the interview score? E.g if someone scored very high in test and didn't make up to 70 in interview, does it mean the person has lost out?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by myluck: 10:19am On Jun 15, 2018
July 3rd is the day. It's coming as a birthday gift and am so glad. Just kidding oh, am not sure of the date but my guess might be correct and if God permits, my wish may come to pass. Happy Sallah to our Muslim brothers, one love, one Nigeria, peace!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by myluck: 8:18pm On Jun 14, 2018
1. Kindly ignore the APL screenshot, it's fake.
2. DPR is not into any backyard recruitment- List of special candidates slots will not affect the merit slots, DPR did the needful.
3. The list is at FCC and unfortunately, I do not have updates on its status(Kindly get updates from folks with FCC link)
4. Pls, exercise patience- everything is still running smoothly and this recruitment is coming to an end in no time
5. It shouldn't take an excessive time to issue COC
6. Pls, don't lose hope!

7. Current DPR staff are aware GTs and EHs are resuming soon, they are waiting
8. At the same time, remember it's just 300+ names on the merit list- not all will make it
9. Formula Used: An aggregate of your exam score and interview score divided by 2.. Let me explain (Exam score is 100%, Interview grading is also 100%- if you score 80 + 50, that gives you 65% which is quite poor else you are from the less privileged states)
10. Engineers were preferenced, pharmacy got the lowest number of candidates, HR is fair etc.
11. A good number of EH were considered
12. If your average score is 80% upwards, you stand a good chance.
13. Federal Character is key, I doubt if there's any local government with 2 candidates
14. The lowest number of candidates from a state is about 5
15. Some states got between 11-16 candidates
16. I have received numerous emails, unfortunately, I won't reply or open any for reasons best known to me.

17. This month is still GREEN

Kindly Note: Those folks that interviewed candidates were playing mind games, they were looking for the slightest reason to mark you down, and like I mentioned earlier, their friendly appearances and warm smiles don't mean they scored you well. Answering all questions correctly means little too. The following things counted;
a. Your presentation skills
b. Problem-solving skill
c. and your facial appeal.

Most HRs act based on emotions and what they see.

Cheers

Neverdown, pls is 80 percent cut off mark not too much? I know the recruitment is competitive but does it mean that someone that has 75percent does not stand a chance?

This woman deserves 100% what she has been dished. The Pastor might not even directly be the one after her. He has great followers who will just take it upon themselves to act. She must apologise to him publicly,in all national dailies and promise never to cross his part again. The woman is not worth his time.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Exxonmobil Test Of 15 Feb Procurement Analyst by myluck: 11:19am On Mar 11, 2008
I am still very confused because a company like exxonmobile should be well organised. An exam that was written since february and till date,no response even after they gave us their words that the results would be out in 2weeks time.Oh what a pity!!!Nigerians take all these things for granted because that white man who said this that day wouldnt have said it if he were to be in America because he was not sure and it is a breach on their own part.Jobseekers must revolt because u guys put us on high tension.Laughs, ha ha ha .But it is a serious matter sha.

CelebritiesRe: Who Is World Most Popular? by myluck: 9:32am On Dec 05, 2007
I give the world's most popular person to JESUS CHRIST and it is immediately followed by MICHEAL JACKSON. Everyone knows these two no matter how remote the place or people may be.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Dpr Offer (graduate trainee) by myluck: 5:41pm On Nov 15, 2007
Hi saknel, like I said,on paper,it is 1.6 but u will actually have 3.2.Have u gone to their office in Lagos here,u can go and confirm .I have a very authentic source.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Dpr Offer (graduate trainee) by myluck: 11:19am On Nov 15, 2007
DONT LET PEOPLE DECEIVE YOU.DPR IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES U CAN WORK UNLESS U HAVE GOT A JOB WITH SHELL OR CHEVRON IF NOT JUMP AT THE OFFER BECAUSE I HEAR THEY ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH AND MIGHT SOON STOP RECEIVING ACCEPTANCE SO BETTER ACCEPT AND RETURN TO THEM B4 U LIVE ALL UR LIFE IN REGRETS.5 MLLION IS NOT A JOKE FOR JUST AN ENTRY LEVEL JOB!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Dpr Offer (graduate trainee) by myluck: 11:12am On Nov 15, 2007
THE TRUTH IS THAT THE 1.6 IS JUST WRITTEN ON THE OFFER LETTER BUT THE BASIC SALARY  IS TWICE THE AMOUNT WHICH IS 3.2 AND IF U ARE POSTED  OUTSIDE LAGOS,MAYBE WARRI OR SO,YOU WOULD BE PAID AN EXTRA 1.8 FOR HOUSING WHICH TOTALLY AMOUNTS TO 5.0. REMEBER YOU HAVE NOT YET BEEN CONFIRMED YET BECAUSE WITH CONFIRMATION,YOUR PAY WOULD BE INCREASED.  DONT LET GOD GET ANGRY WITH U AND WITHDRAW THAT JOB FROM U. ANYWAY THIS IS THE BEST I CAN OFFER U. THE DECISION IS URS TO MAKE.BYE. BE WISE!!!

EducationRe: Does First Class Really Matter? by myluck: 9:40am On Jan 23, 2007
The truth still remains in your personality. Here,I mean whom u are as a person makes the difference in life and not your class of degree. Remember we still have notable Nigerians who have made it like Chanchangi and a host of others. Note that am not trying to abscond from the fact that first class is very good.Infact, I have always wished I had it but finally ended in 2.1.Till date, I envy first class graduates.
EducationRe: Does First Class Really Matter? by myluck: 11:43am On Jan 22, 2007
First class is good but 2.1 is also good.To my friend who said it depends on the school and course you read,is not true cos in our Nigerian context, those things dont count. After all, Wale Shoyinka had a third class.Your school and course does not matter here. What matters here is whom you know. This does not mean that first class is not important because on a normal ground,it gives the owner an edge over others
