Thanks for the response. Did you attach any documents to show you had been working for your mum?
I did. I added some properties I managed for her but there was no valid documentation or payment indicating I’ve been working for her.. since it was unofficial (which I THOROUGHLY explained in my SOP )

If you’ve had any kind of work experience, whether paid or unpaid, make sure to state it.

And, don’t be shy to give them detailed explanations.. and fill all study gaps.

Even if it's a teaching job of 20k grab it and use it to strengthen your application cos you will have to provide your own personal account too for six months
In my case, Though I submitted my sponsors statement of account, I still provided my personal Statement of account with no paid job experience (no salary income). I only explained why I was unemployed at the time and wrote that I was working unofficially for my mom in my SOP.

Whatever the case may be, he should be truthful and don’t forge false documents..

They verify every document you submit.

Please I would like to find out, does having no paid work experience matter for visa application? I have experience in my field but it was not a paid role. Just need more opinions please.
No. it doesn’t matter... Just explain why you haven’t gotten a paid job in your SOP.

You could state that you’ve been working unofficially since you have experience in your field.

When women express their opinion it's hostility... whao!!! If you're learned enough, there is nothing like Fact... just opinions that can be argued. You will be taught that during your masters program abroad. Feel free to use Google and Wikipedia, that's the information provided.

The point is not English or Malta the point is this thread was created to enlighten people to consider Ireland as an alternative option or destination for further studies.

I have more important things to do like get my PVC... so if you have something useful or beneficial to others to share I'll suggest you do that.
It's Monday morning please.

Anyways, Griffith people I get info for you.

Feel free to DM, partial compensation is involved.

Cheers

Good morning to you. Partial Compensation ? I Just DMed you..

I paid part of the school fees yesterday.. Will pay the balance tomorrow.

So I'm thinking i can go to the embassy on Friday to submit my application.

But there's a problem. My boss won't allow me take an excuse on Friday cos there's nobody to relieve me off my duty post.

Hence, it means its on Monday 20th that i can be chanced.

That's why I'm seriously scared. Cos time has really gone.
20th might be a little bit detrimental considering the time frame. You have to persuade your boss this week. Just make sure you have the necessary requirements.. Whatever you do, don’t give up on your application. I saw a testimony of 1 week and 5 days on this thread.

Better late than never...

Can u assist me on the process of submission at the embassy. So i can know what to expect. Eg at what point would i need to do my medicals?
You don’t need to do medicals but however, if your school doesn’t cover your medical health insurance, you’re to pay a fee for it.

In my case, my school covered mine.

Unilag doesn't issue transcript to individuals. Its super annoying.

I guess i will print out DIT's response and add to the supporting documents. So they will know the transcript is with DIT and they can request from them if need be.

Thanks
Well, Just go ahead and submit what you have on Monday.

You don’t have the luxury of time at the moment..

Pray fervently and We wish you all the best in your application..

Pls am not discouraging any one or demarketing the consultant hustling students was just trying to spark up the conversation to other direction that 80 of student and parent will like to know like somebody posted before that people should seek admission in top schools cos of employment prospect ....i can never discourage any young person trying to leave Nigeria to any country with prospect
I fully understand your worries. Most of us Irish applicants have been denied either by Canada or USA or even the UK that’s why she stated above that Ireland could be a stepping stone towards going to these countries. It’s not still easy to secure a good Job and PR in those countries. Everything requires hard work, smartness (baba e no easy anywhere), and God’s grace. Nobody would want to invest 8m wrongly especially in times like this but I believe by now, we should know what we want. Now, The Ireland is a recent trend and the closest to these countries (Canada, USA, Australia) in terms of academic and immigration rules. I advise you look up your options carefully and make a worthy investment for your kid bro. All the best..

PS: I believe if you’re looking at Ireland, now’s the time. Later might be too ........

The Cost of GNIB is 300 Euros...Since you are coming from a country were the embassy scrutinized your finances you are not required to display 3000 euros in an account. A letter from school and the 300euro charge...
Very well explained, you’ve been terrific on here. Thank you.. How has it been so far over there ? Griffith College and all. Has it been up to expectations? I’m still hopeful for a positive news from the embassy..

Please refer to this page on Thebes Irish website. It details the institutions and qualifications that qualify for the post study work permit.
www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Student%20Pathway
Thank you. But please, are these the only recognized Irish awarding institutions or just to mention a few ??

This is what I found.

Must present evidence of the final award being attained by way of a parchment or, in circumstances where the graduation ceremony is yet to take place, an official letter for the awarding body / institution confirming that the award has been achieved.
An award granted by a recognised Irish awarding body i.e.
The seven Irish universities; i.e. Trinity College, UCD, DCU, Maynooth University, UCC, NUIG and the University of Limerick
Dublin Institute of Technology
Royal College of Surgeons Ireland
Institutes of Technology
Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI)

Please, just to be sure, is the two years post study work permit in Ireland for some selected institutions only ? or it’s meant for all ? Thanks.
