Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by myport: 6:18pm On Oct 11, 2019
Any who could please do so. Last year Uber reported 9000 cars for Lagos in a media interview , so I believe that should have increased to an extent.

Still looking forward to more contributions Thank you all.

Do you know how much this kind of information cost? No be something wey them dey use bros mi get o.

The research institution for this should release funds to you for extensive research and findings. No be akara talk.

All research doesn't have to be institute we should develop a research mind set. The research is self motivated.

Thank you

Thanks I appreciate you for your time taken to respond God bless.

1. It has eased transportation in Lagos

2. There are over 1500 cars on both platforms.(My estimate).

3. The app covers everywhere in Lagos.

4. There are other ehailing providers in Lagos, but they can't be regarded as competitors

Hello every one here, I respectfully ask for your help. All mods and supermods including @op I take a bow for you guys, great work you are doing here, kudos. There is a research on cab hailing in Nigeria and specifically Lagos. And the question is has it in any way eased transportation in the city. How many cars are currently on both major cab hailing services. Uber has how many cars or drivers registered same goes for Bolt. Does the app cover the outskirts /semi urban areas of Lagos. Again how many other cab hailing services are there operating in Lagos

I would appreciate your support and help with a close to accurate answer to these questions.

Thank you
Business / Re: Lets Build Lpg Skit/plant For You / Investment In Gas by myport: 11:18am On Jun 22, 2019
Hi, seen your write up and it is impressive. There are few questions to ask and hope you would find time to answer them appropriately

1- What is supply price of gas to dealer, not retailers
2- How many plants do you have links to
a- in Lagos
b- across Nigeria
3- Are open for partnership
4- Your plants what time do they close
5- Don't have capacity for plant yet and want to be a middle man between plants and retailers ( what is cost structure like?)

Thanks as you take time to answer the following.
But more to come depending on how well these are answered.

@Abini2012 reading all through your diary is nostalgic for me. Once lived on Boswell street some years back. Remember when I just got into Coventry and missed my way from ASDA to the house saw this three teenage boys acting funny while trying to ask for direction.
Also went for a training in Knotford and getting back to Coventry train station late at between 10 or even past 11 pm can't remember fully now, called black cab which was my only option then this Indian driver attempted to gba mi. He charged me £15, was furious and I asked what is meter reading his answer was infuriating, he uttered with his funny accent, "meter just got bad". Just handed him £10 and slammed the door.

Hope there is still Cosmo close to city center nice Asian restaurant look out for it , sure you will testify. Saw your picture of Peacock "pigeon" ( that's cracking) not a bad store , with student ID they do 20% discount- though that I experienced at Portsmouth and guess It should be same across board. So your hubby can go shop there with his student ID for 20% less.

Enjoying your stories and pictures, I come here looking forward to it almost on daily basis.

Thanks for bringing back memories for me.

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by myport: 5:43pm On Apr 10, 2019
Hello @justwise and other guru's on the platform. Your counseling is required. A friend was refused UK visit visa. The ECO states "your application is refused under paragraph V4.2(e) of immigration Rules. Then further elaborated that visit visa has been refused under paragraph V4.2(a) (c).
He would like to appeal and reapply. What are the implications of the above stated sections(statements) and any positive of probably getting the nod if he should reapply. The main challenge was of inflated deposit, given consistent closing balance in his bank account prior to the application period while making a deposit of about a million naira close the application.

Any one with possible solution or counsel on appeal process for favorable outcome at re-application show please offer it, to help a brother. Thanks

Thanks for your response the graduating student has his visa already and intending to use the same company account he used for his own visa to apply for this other friend.

Some one mentioned home tie, please home would be appropriate for him to present.
The whole trip is just max 5 days the graduation is on 14 July.

Thanks

monchat:

My advice, the graduating person should apply and get his visa first before sponsoring any friend, let him d'nt complicate issues for him self and be denied visa ps.

The graduating person need a very good job, with good salary, enough money in his account and the money to keep him going after sponsoring.

I can not really tell the exact estimate he will need to sponsor him , Probabally extimate of 3M or 4M in his account. All these depends on how many days they will stay, the accommodation, flight fare, feeding and living expenses.

Hello all the gurus, please your help is needed here. A friend want to follow another of our friend for graduation. His invitation letter is ready from the school with his name. He would be sponsored by the graduating friend what other document would he need to supply on his own for the visit visa.

He does not have much in his account.

The friend graduating and sponsoring would need minimum of how much as sponsor to convince ECO.

Thank as you answer

@justwise, @ ekpotek. Please i need you attention on this. A young friend is applying for 6 months he has graduation invite for 14th July. He is applying using his company but forgot to add bank reference letter as the sole signatory to account. But the account statement is included and stated in the additional information that he is sole signatory.

What are the implications.
Thanks as you respond.

Hello great scholars on the forum, please I require collaborative support to achieve my PHD quest. I am a Phd candidate, due to age and some other constraints I am considering PhD by publication in a UK university. Based on this I have been mandated to have at least 3 co authorship journals and 2 single for application consideration.

PhD is in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. With research focus on effect of Sharing economy on SME and Entrepreneurial growth with focus on artisans in developing economies.

I hereby through this forum seek for co- authorship in a reputable international journal, from any one who is interested in this topic. My options are also open to book chapters authorship.

Can you redress this, you said 11 - 16, then you must be in UK by 14. I don't really get you[/quote]

Very sorry if I did confuse you. My specific date to be in the UK is 14th. So I was only saying a ticket for between 11th and 16th wouldn't be a bad idea. But I am not fixated on those dates. All I want is the cheapest flight to be in UK for some days before 14th. Thanks for your numerous efforts towards helping folks here.

Hello Kagari, please help search cheapest flight to the UK for between July 11th and 16th. Exact date to be in UK is 14th so won't mind any cheap travel cost within this period. I wouldn't also mind if traveling from Ghana is cheaper. Thanks as you make time to answer. Remain blessed.
Career / Re: What will be our best Strategy to take over the Nigerian Market? by myport: 10:18pm On Nov 16, 2017
There is need to first identify your channels within the geographical location.
What % of market share are you looking to capture within what period.
In matket penetration there are three basics to follow.
1- Price
2- Place
3- People
In a triangular form People, Price,Place.

People- who are the people. Internal and external.
Internal(staff (marketing, sales)and partners (distributors, field merchants)

Price- As penetration strategy what is competitor's offering either as reduction or incentives. Creating a PULL and PUSH matrix. You PUSH to KD's (key distributors) and create incentives for consumers and customers to PULL from shelves.

PLACE- An HORECA campaign identifying clusters and using OOH(out of home) sales points for brand presence giving branded items as recall souvenir to ascertain future TOMA (Top of mind awareness).

With this an experiential feel would have been established with all points of the chain for further harvesting in form of purchase inducement.

Could go on and on but let me stop here for now.
