My legs are really swollen For days now,both swollen but the left leg is something else. like the biggest I've seen in this pregnancy, I have done all the wakawaka and exercise I can, nothing yet. Complained at my last antenatal but doctor didn't say anything but now am worried o.

I just feel like when I ask questions nobody answers

If your doctor didn't say anything then it is no cause for alarm, maybe it's just fluid retention that you will loose after given birth, so stop worrying and prepare your mind for baby's arrival

Just here waddling, my tired is reeeaaaaly tired, almost contemplating going for elective C's, this last stage nawa

Same here cappo, I wake up everyday hoping labour will just start or if I should just jejely carry myself to the hospital for elective CS. It is well with us o, may God help us make the right decision and may he make it easy for us.

JUNE ROLL CALL!

June is finally here!!!! The long awaited June is finally here!! Happy new month everyone. May this month be a month of joy and laughter for all of us ijn.

This journey seemed far, but we kept on pushing, with joy, with tears, with happiness, the day of strength, the day of no strength, finally we are here. Father Lord, we thank you for the journey thus far because it is not by our power nor might that we have come to the month of our supernatural delivery but for your mercy and favor that you have shown us, accept our thanksgiving in Jesus mighty name.

I say a big congratulations to all of us team June, e no easy buy here we are, our testimonies shall be permanent and people shall rejoice with us in Jesus mighty name.
I believe our hospital bags must have been packed and ready in preparation for the arrival of our little ones by now. Please let's also endeavor to put things in other, like finalizing our leave(for both civil and private employees), start exercising for easy delivery and oh yes we can now eat fruits and foods that aids easy birth( like eating pineapple, dates, zobo, drinking ewedu or okra) whether it works or not I don't think there's harm in trying it.

There shall be no loss amongst us ijn, we shall all go into the labor room and come out alive and with our babies alive too IJN, we shall all come back to share our beautiful BA's and BS ijn, none shall be found wanting or missing among us ijn. Our delivery shall be easy, short and painless IJN.

First time mamas like me, please no dulling o, when u see signs of labor, better to go to hospital and get checked and sent back home to come later than to sit at home and be forming pro.
Tohhan please let's hear from you. How is it going? The lord is your strength and you shall share your testimony ijn . Yaaaayyy nah u wan open floor for us o

To God be the glory, great things he hath done. The whole 9months journey was testimony filled.

I got pregnant without knowing because am not expecting pregnancy atall, I only do feel stomach pain and ll b confuse because it's not yt time for my period. I use salt and water bt it didn't go instead am always hungry and got me confuse more; hubby ask me to go buy Andrew liver salt maybe it ll go bt instead I went to buy bicham( I blv mayb my stomach is dirty) and pregnancy test. I used d bicham once den use d test stripe and pim, na positive.

The journey begins, couldn't sleep overnight, back pain, vomiting if drink water or eat food; was still not using any drug, was told to buy pregnacare plus by my sister but I was like, this expensive drug every month; my boss gave me calcium and ferrous and told me to buy folic acid with it but neither did I buy nor use it but do buy fruit once in a while to eat. I can carry and lift anytyn carriable and liftable, nobody kuku know am pregnant yt.
Fast forward to 2nd/3rd month, I buy folic acid laslas and started taken but anytym I use it, I must vomit, attyms I vomit blood self but I didn't bother going to hospital because I blv it's part of d package then I stopped d folic too.
Finally register at 5months+ nd at 6months, a scan shows I av small fibroid and cramps began but sincerely I was not worried because I just keep holding my tummy and ll say it's not mine so fibroid get out, went to complain at the hospital and was told it's false labour wen it's not yt time/the fibroid causing pain, was given injection and paracetamol bt didn't go o, went back again nd was given cocoderm and dis work for d pain

Second trimester(frm 6month+) was smooth with little or no pain and coming to third trimester, it started smoothly but ended with pain and swollen legs at 9months.

Everybody at work was telling me to go for leave because of stress and my swollen legs but I was like I use work as part of my exercise and don't want my leave to b wasting when av not gvn birth, but I keep telling my boss and pikin that I want June and don't want May atall, will even tell d baby to please wait till June 1 and he hear ooo.

Fast forward to delivery day, was out of d house since 5am on Monday, May 30th bt getting to Ajah traffic(if U r conversant with Ajah road), I came down before the bridge and trek to VGC with hubby just to beat the traffic, faced chevron traffic again b4 I finally get to work o with bladder wey don full.
In the midnight, 31st, naso water break ooo. I just feel asif am bedwetting and urine keep coming to the extent that sis gave me bucket to be urinating inside since hubby sleep at work then I message my boss that I suspect my water broke so I won't make it down to work, called hubby severally but didn't pick up, called my elder sis who's still a bit near and she was like we ll go to hospital when it's 4am, I told then 4am is too near because am not feeling any pain. We finally left for the hospital around 7am and got to MCC Abraham Adesanya around afta 10am(Lagos traffic plus vehicle spoil for road).
Getting to hospital and was checked, OS is still close and no contraction but water is dripping already. The Dr write to sumtin membrane on my card and was tellin her colleague dat it remain 2hrs for dem to c if I ll av pain else dere's sumtin dey ll put under my tongue to induce labour. 2hrs came and go without anytyn,, I ask hubby to buy me pineapple so I can take and I did that with warm water; naso this pain start o. On checking, the Dr was like she didnt understand my cervix o, internal is open while external is close; was having serious labour contraction yt cervix didn't open(meanwhile, mum has always been telling me to ask dem if na male bone I get bcs I ct deliver on my own if na male bone BT dey ll kip telling me dat labour ll determine). The contraction became stronger and stronger and pain increase to tyms 8 of 10� and naso I dey shout mercy of God dey shout help me now, dey shout poo poo ooo, dem go say no b poopoo and I ll tell dem am serious na real poo poo no b fake one etc. Later a male Dr came(God ll kuku bless the guy for me), he check my virginal and said he's nt sure I can deliver myself, another female Dr came and said same, go call dere oga patapata and said same, they call it a name which I ct even remember because I was in serious pain, meanwhile, my mum is still calling nd still picking her calls and she ll kip shouting gv dem fone or tell dem to do CS.
As dat my favorite male Dr said we ll do CS for U so call ur husband, husband wey we call don leave my sis wit me to go to work, I jt tell dem dat my sis ll do d signing and buy all necessary tins(thank God av funded her account already incase anytyn apen), hubby later came and dey do all necessary tins, was wheel down to the theatre room and I keep telling dem gv me dat injection dat U said ll stop the fast fast b4 the pain start again, the Dr was like calm down, we r on it. I receive d first injection at my back and sum Dr were at d front fixing tins already and I kip telling dem I want to slip because av nt slept for 2days now, as them gv the third injection, ntin like pain o and d next tin I heard was a baby cry. Infact dey r still doing oda tins like checking if bp, talking abt drugs wen I heard d cry and was like who's baby is crying; one of d Dr jt joke at me and say sebi na she carry Belle cum insyd nw and was gvn my bundle of joy placed on my chest, naso I tell d baby am sorry for stressing you den started sleeping.

Not easy as a FTM takn care of pikin in a general hospital after CS because dey won't help do anytyn except for bathing of baby, only few of dere nurse ll attend to you well and nobody is allowed to stay to stay except to go and cum back bt God is takn control. Ct wait to be release from here nd lemme go sleep well at home while MIL take charge.

Success to other preggy woman in the house, may God deliver everyone safely IJN.

Truly. Whenever I remember all the things I'm yet to do and how it is that it's really baby that will give you date, I get scared honestly and June seems too close for comfort.

But when the heaviness on my pelvis stops me from even changing positions, I start feeling that I can't cope for the next two months.

Mama please try and round up on the things you need to do o because the tiredness and heaviness is real before June will creep up on us

June mamas, how we dey? Lol I know say e no easy, it seems far small shey? Well to me Sha lol. But not to worry, slowly but surely, we are almost there. 9 months journey is too small compared to the forever we get to spend with our babies, so hang in there, it will soon be over. And be strong. God is our strength.

How's third trimester going?
I hope we are taking our drugs, even if it's not daily
I hope we are already doing our baby shopping? especially the hospital list, please let's try and start now before we become too strong to do it. Now that we still have strength.

I hope we are eating healthy too, I won't even lie, I detest fruits now, but I dey try, maybe once in a week or two weeks sef atimes


What about the TT injection and anti malaria drugs? Shey we are following up? Checking our pcv and blood pressure? And attending our antenatal .

Please do exercise as much as you can, take a walk in the evening , it will make you feel better, and about the heat, shower as much as you can, naked yourself in your house for fresh air


We are almost almost through, we are almost there, be strong comrades. We shall all smile at the end of this journey.
The lord will see us through ijn, there shall be no still birth ijn. We shall all be strong this month, no complications for us and for our LO's ijn. And I cover us all with the blood of Jesus.

And finally, let's be prayerful, wake up at night and can't sleep again? Pray. Say positive things and affirmations to your LO's future.

About the legs, I will complain in my next ANC thanks mama.
For the buy buy, I carry 80k go market for the first shopping and I never even buy half. First time mother oo. E no easy , just thankful my sister gave me some of her baby stuffs like mattress, rocker, bath set etc, if not where I for start?
I have a medium water flask at home, I say okay lemme buy a bigger one and add, as I hear 16k I just drop am fes.. lol nawa. Now am thinking if just using the one I have already.

Omo things are expensive o, what helped me is the fact that I'm a third time mom but hubby still wants to go all out been that we are having a boy this time, I will advice you buy the essentials first, then when baby comes you can then buy what you really need, you can go with the flask you have because you might not even stay long in the hospital, I have never really needed a big flask.
As for the swollen legs I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but yea complain at your next appointment.

How are we all doing? Hope we have taken the first and second TT injection and hope we have started anti malaria drugs too. Hope our LO'S have started moving and kicking? Has anyone started having swollen feet? Cos mine is swollen and am wondering why lol.
How's this trimester treating us generally?
Hope we are taking our prenatal drugs judiciously? Please let's do that o. I hope we eat lots of fruits often.. as for me I don't even like fruits again, I wonder why lol .
What of exercise? Let's try and do exercise even if it's few minutes walk.

Have we started buying our baby things? God will provide all the finances we need for this IJn, we can start buying now that we have strength.

I have been avoiding this thread out of pain. I had my daughter in October 2015, although I was on the team in November.

Two years later in 2017, I took in again but sadly had a miscarriage. I bled for almost a month and had to undergo an evacuation. Since then, I've been struggling to conceive without success.

The first time I tried conceiving it happened within six weeks, the second time happened that same month, now five years later and no success.

I don't know what's happening. I'm currently on Pregnacare conception, but having severe signs my period is around the corner.

I'm so depressed right now. I keep seeing others get pregnant. Friends I gave birth together with in 2015 are on their third kids

This is just me pouring out my pains. I know God will answer me soon sha.

Please, Mamas, I ask that you all remember me in your prayers � �

Mama do not loose hope, the God that gave you your first is still in the business of granting our heart desires, I am going to encourage you with my story, last year made it four years I had my second child and I started trying immediately for the third because it was difficult conceiving after I had my first but it was unexplained miscarriages upon miscarriages, the last one was even an ectopic pregnancy, after the whole ectopic pregnancy issue I knelt down and told God thank you for these ones you have given me, I stopped tracking my cycle, stopped all forms of treatment, I just decided I was done, lo and behold I conceived without knowing even when I found I didn't know how far gone I was because I had stopped keeping tracks of my cycle. This is just to let you know God starts from where we stop. You are next to testify

Teamie we are in the same boat o, last time I went for antenatal I weighed 88kg too, all I'm praying for is a healthy baby since there is nothing I can do now except eat healthy and the annoying thing is I don't usually have appetite so I force myself to eat still my weight is increasing like no man's business. Don't worry God gat us and our babies

I guess I wasn't given because I didn't go there on the date given to me for my anti natal appointment. Went there on just a random day.

No, it's not too late, I'm sure you will be given at your next appointment, some persons register for antenatal at 6months and they still get the 3 doses of TT before given birth.

I registered at a general hospital and private hospital, it's in the general hospital I was given the two doses of TT and told the 3rd is at 6months, when I went for antenatal at the private hospital I told them about the TT so I wasn't given there. I am a FTM and I don't even have a prior knowledge about all these things, well experience is the best teacher they say, I pray we get a good one all steps of the way.

That asire, you guys please o when do they take the second TT injection, plus I am 22weeks and I never take any malaria medicine, haven't had any headache since I get belle Sha, but I won't lie mosquitoes dey bite me o, dunno how I've been able to escape malaria

Cappo mi, I took my first tt at 12weeks when I registered for anti natal, then the second one at 16weeks, I was told the 3rd one will be at 6months. As for anti-malarial drug I was given at 20weeks even though I wasn't having any malaria symptoms.

Thank you mamas for all the advice and replies . I am very fine now and my baby is active, glory to God .
Also, I haven't vomited the drugs since the first time I used it, tho it makes me feel nauseous but I have learnt how to manage myself after taking it.
Also the stomach pain have stopped. Grateful to God for the healing. I pray it remain permanent ijn

@Nyphemiett Wow, no spitting, no vomiting, you are lucky o, I still vomit every now and then while the spitting and metallic taste is a constant but that seems to be the only symptoms I'm having for now, in all I'm grateful for the opportunity. Thank God you are able to eat chicken and fish atleast, me I dey chop anything chop able. May God see us all through and make it easy for us

Mama there is no cause for alarm, babies that are on breasfmilk only can go more than a week without pooing, it is normal, and since you are giving only breast milk there is no need to give baby water except baby is taking formular too.
