FIFA have officially banned Chelsea from the transfer market for two windows over a serious and systemic breach of the rules regarding their dealings with foreign players under the age of 18.

The Premier League club have also been fined more than £460,000, while the FA face a £390,000 sanction.

The World Governing Body made this known on Friday at the end of a lengthy investigation into the club and how they have registered players at their academy over a number of years.

The Blues  were found guilty of 29 incidences of breaching article 19, which relates to the transfer of players aged under 18.

A FIFA statement read: "The Fifa disciplinary committee has sanctioned the English club Chelsea FC and The Football Association for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.

"Chelsea was found to have breached art. 19 of the Regulations in the case of twenty-nine (29) minor players and to have committed severalother infringements relating to registration requirements for players.

"The club also breached art. 18bis of the Regulations in connection with two agreements it concluded concerning minorsand which allowed it to influence other clubs in transfer-related matters.

"The disciplinary committee sanctioned Chelsea with a banon registering newplayers at both national and international level for the next two (2) complete and consecutive registration periods.

"This ban applies to the club as a whole - with the exception of the women's and futsal teams - and does not prevent the release of players."

Cristiano Ronaldo made a hand gesture to the Atletico Madrid fans during Juventus' Champions League defeat on Wednesday.

The Portuguese received a lot of stick from the home supporters throughout the last-16 tie due to thefact he represented their bitter rivals Real Madrid for nine years.

Ronaldo was also on the end of some rough tackles from the Atletico players, who looked to stamp their authority on the game at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

During one moment on Wednesday night there was a break in play and the fans turned on the former Real Madrid star, chanting a number of things in his direction.

A new research conducted by TheSportsman.com has revealed the top 10 Overpaid players in the English Premier League and Chelsea have three players on this list.

Chelsea have been sorely overpaying a number of their first-team stars, based on new data analysing wages compared to playing time.

The Blues enjoyed an excellent start to the season under new manager Maurizio Sarri but their form has tailed away of late andthe Italian is now under pressure to keep his job.

According to TheSportsman.com, Victor Moses (now on loan at Fenerbahce), David Zappacosta and Gary Cahill are among the top 10 players who have beenearning most per minute of Premier League action.

MySportDab reports Victor Moses earned £75,000-a-week before his switch to Turkey but only played 26 minutes of top-flight action.

When subtracting any wages accrued while out injured, this means Moses clocked up £66,346 per minute of Premier League action.

​Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson made history as he became the oldest Premier League manager of all time.

On February 17, Hodgson turned 71 years and 192 days old, which means he has surpassed legendary Sir Bobby Robson's record as the eldest in the division's history.

Hodgson has had a long and varied managerial career, coaching 16 teams across eight countries, including four national teams.

He started his managerial career at Swedish club Halmstad back in 1976 and spent almost all of the 80s in the Scandinavian country, where he is credited with the transformation of Swedish football by introducing tactics such as zonal marking.

Hodgson then took charge of the Swiss national team in 1992, guiding them to the 1994 World Cup - their first in 28 years - where they reached the last 16.

The former non-league footballer had two spells at Italian giants ​Inter and is regarded as an important figure in their history for overseeing a vital transition phase between 1995 and 1997.

A series of jobs across Denmark, Finland, Norway and the UAE eventually brought Hodgson to west London club ​Fulham, with whom he enjoyed a memorable debut season avoiding relegation as the Cottagers earned 12 points from the last five games of the season.

A disappointing six months at ​Liverpool followed, before a successful spell at ​West Bromwich Albion earned him every Englishman's dream job in 2012 - the England national team.

Cardiff City have contacted other Premier League clubs in an attempt to establish whether there may be grounds to avoid paying the full £15million transfer fee for dead striker Emiliano Sala, MySportDab reports.

According to The Daily Mail, Letters sent inthe past few days by lawyers acting for the club request help in ‘fighting off Nantes’ legal claim’, according to one source.

They have asked clubs for assistance in ‘sharing your knowledge of Sala as a player’.

The correspondence from a Cardiff law firm describes Sala as ‘the player that Cardiff tried to sign’, phrasing which makes it clear that the club believe they may not have to pay all — or indeed any — of the record transfer fee.

Details of the letters — which Cardiff on Saturday confirmed were sent — emerged as manager Neil Warnock and chief executive Ken Choo arrived in Argentina for the player’s wake and funeral.

The Mail on Sunday reports that Cardiff’s decision to approach Premier League clubs publicly linked with Sala is partly motivated by transfer broker Willie McKay’s admission in an email to the striker that he had sought to artificially inflate the price.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba made a phone call to Juventus in a bid to secure his exit, according to reports.

Pogba quit Old Trafford for Juventus back in 2012 and, during his four years in Italy, helped the club win four Scudettos in succession.

He then returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2016 for a then world-record fee of £89million but, nearly three years on, rumours of a move to Turin are refusing to go.

The Frenchman struggled for form earlier this season under Jose Mourinho.

MySportDab reports Pogba had a difficult relationship with the former United manager, with Mourinho appearing to loath the player’s life outside of football.

Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, he has been resurgent.

Photos of what is reportedly AC Milan's kit for the upcoming 2019/20 season have been leaked online.

It will be the second season in which Milan have worked with Puma to create their kits, having spent many years with adidas.

Puma's current design for the club was evidence of their desire to channel the club's rich heritage, and these latest leaks reflect the iconic Milan sides of the 1980s.

The leaked images of the kits come from Footy Headlines, who specialise in updates on new kits and boots.

The website has previously posted updates on Milan's kits, as well as the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.

The kit features the classic thin red and black stripes across the entirety of the shirts, and the white shorts and socks are both complimented with subtle black and red accents.

Everton are hopeful striker Henry Onyekuru will be able to get a work permit to play in the Premier League this summer.

The Nigerian star scored 22 goals and registered nine assists during the 2016-17 campaign to finish as joint top scorer in Belgium's top flight and spark a race for his signature.

Everton fended off the interest off clubs including Arsenal and Celtic, but have not been able to play him due to eligibility issues.

However, According to the Liverpool Echo, the Blues are growing increasingly hopeful that they will have a robust case to present to the Football Association in order to get the green light to to use a player who will have been on the books at Goodison for over two years by the start of next season.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Anderlecht where a promising start which was cut short by a knee injury which required surgery.

7foot, 250-pound Philadelphia NBA star Joel Embiid almost crushed award-winning actress Regina Wings on Thursday night at New York's Madison Square Garden.

King found herself in the path of the lunging Embiid, who was barreling into the crowd after a loose ball.

At the last moment, the 24-year-old All-Star from Cameroon pulled up, and although he was at nearly full speed, managed to lift his feet above the ducking King.

Afterwards, King shared her appreciation on Twitter: 'Yoooo. Thank you God and @JoelEmbiid for your athletic abilities. Crisis averted.'

However, MSG Networks statistician Dave Fried was not lucky, he was struck in the chest by both of Embiid's massive size-17 feet after he cleared King's head.

In a post-game interview with MSG network, Embiid offered an apology to Fried, who said he was doing fine.

Arsenal's kit for the 2019-20 season has been Leaked online and fans would love it, MySportDab reports.

According to The Mirror, Adidas officials were at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday to hold the latest round of planning talks ahead of the beginning of their multi-million pound kit partnership this summer.

Anthony Joshua will fight in the US for the first time to defend his world heavyweight titles against Jarrell Miller on 1 June.

Joshua had hoped to seal a fight with Deontay Wilder, but turned to Miller after the WBC heavyweight champion pursued a rematch with Tyson Fury.

29-year-old Joshua, will take on Miller at Madison Square Garden in the undefeated American's home city of New York.

"June 1 I'll be travelling to MSG. New York City, the Big Apple," Joshua said in a video posted to social media.

"I'm there to take a bite out of that and I'llbe competing against Jarrell Miller.

"Wembley is so close to my heart, it's a great spot, a great location. I've fought insmall halls, I've fought in arenas. And it's been a humbling and a blessing to fight in those stadiums.

"But now it's time for a change. The current state of the division was the undisputed championship of the world.

"Myself and [Deontay] Wilder are the current active champions of the world. We were looking to get that fight on April13 but things happened, boxing politics, I'm sure you guys are aware.

Liverpool Star Sadio Mane mocked Manchester United as they suffered their first defeat under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against Paris Saint-Germain.

The French club won 2-0 at Old Trafford leading into the second leg in Paris, thanks for goals from Kimpebe and Kylian Mbappe.

Solskjaer had won 10 of his first 11 matches in charge but was outclassed by Thomas Tuchel's PSG Team.

And Sadio Mane took to Instagram, to express his joy as PSG went 2-0 up at Old Trafford.

In the video, Mane can be seen watching the game on TV in his bedroom.
